About Me

  1. Hello I have an X3 modded XBOX. I've noticed a thread elsewhere on OGXBOX mention the Origins 2TB from Arcade Punks. So I'm giving that a go out of curiosity. I'm still trying to use MultiPAR to fix the RAR files with the PAR2 files. Then I'll jump on the torrent to finish it. But I have other consoles and Launchbox set up so emulation isn't the main driving force, its the XBOX games and homebrew. I'm just wondering if there is a full 2TB XBOX games image anyone recommends or should I go with, that has all the boxes on view like I have set up in Launchbox? I current have XBMX4XBOX as my dashboard. If I remember correctly, is there a Windows app that I can transfer the extracted images (I presume its still this way rather than copy the ISO) to the drive while attached to my PC as this would be much quicker? Thanks in advance
  2. 128MB, Cerbios, 2tb drive based on the origins image with a few extra things. I would like 300.
  3. Anything i should know before upgrading hdd by cloning from 1TB to 2TB? With raw copy tool? After cloning i format.partition F partition to the rest of hdd?
  4. I'm doing a first install of a 2TB HDD and trying to squeeze as many games on it as possible, and hoped that if I could create multiple 256GB (or smaller) partitions it would cut down on cluster size and I'd fit a lot more on it. Is this possible or is the only option a bigger drive?
  5. I have it on marketplace, but I wanted to put it here also. Includes some good music and a couple of interesting videos. I need to add the Halo 2 map pack, but otherwise it's pretty loaded.
  6. Hi all thought id post my personal xbmc4gamers 2tb build. Feel free to post your own setups as its always good to see other builds. https://youtu.be/kn6qUDgqhaU
  7. The 2TB disk works fine, including all games, on my v1.0 console. I installed it in a v1.6 console with an Aladdin chip/Evox F&G bios but it does not load all the games. The files are there, confirmed via File Explorer and FlashFXP, but the games will not start. It loads some games but not all. It will go back to the startup menu. Very strange. Any recommendations?

    2tb origins

Hi there, I tried to download the 2tb origins from arcadepunks but that doesnt work anymore. Is there another site to download this?
  9. Modded a 1.6 with an Aladdin chip following a thorough tut on YT Rebuilt the LPC per the tutorial. I programmed with the latest cerbios. Pic attached isn't mine, but i followed this exact pic Powered on = frag Removed the hdd = frag Removed the disc drive = frag Disconnected the chip = no frag. Console booted up to the splash screen followed by errors related to the hdd and disc drive since they were disconnected Other then that Will cerbios run the origins 2tb? When i did a cerbios on a 1.4, i remember having to format the hdd with cerbios in fatxplorer Suggestions? Thanks in advance
  10. Hi Can someone with the 2TB origins HD share their F:\apps\XBMC\skin\xbox origins\720p\home.xml file? Thank you.
  11. Hi, I brought my og xbox back to live and it is still working. But I now want to upgrade it with a 2 TB disk. I read a lot here in the forum and tried to find the components and bios I need for upgrade. So far my upgrade components are as follows: WD RE4 2 TB SATA (WD2003FYYS) Unpartitioned; Deleted partitions with easeUs never installed in a xbox Delock 62510 SATA 2 IDE Adapter (Successor of Delock 61702); According to data sheet: contains Marvell 88SA8052 Asus 80wire 40pin IDE / PATA Cable OGXBox 2021 (v1.5.4) Installer Disk Thank you very much Actual setup: Xbox Rev. 1.0 WD 200 GB IDE (unlocked) Aladdin Advanced with Xecuter2 4983.06 BIOS (256kb) EvolutionX Dashboard (1.8.3752) First I thought, I will go with a LBA48 modified/fixed EvoX M8+ CEE BIOS. After some reading of topics/posts on this forum, I stumbled up on the Original Aladdin Advanced Mod Chip comment from SS_Dave, where he recommend "IND 5004.67" for the Aladdin Advanced. Furthermore on youtube I saw the new CerBios 2.0.3R and found it here on the forum. This is is also a 256kb BIOS and as I get it right a brand new one. I think I will go with XBMC4Gamers, but not sure. Now I am not sure which BIOS I should use/flash to the Aladdin Advanced. Do you may have recommondations for me, which BIOS I should use? In addtion: Is the following plan I build in my head "correct" Open box and disassemble Clean MB and DVD-Rom Remove clock capacitor Clean GPU and CPU from old paste Add new thermal paste on GPU and CPU Install new 2TB WD, Adapter and new 80wire IDE cable Reassemble / close box Depending on BIOS M8+ (EvoX.m8.cee.67.noDVD.evoxdash.256.bin) / IND 5004.67 (iND-BiOS.5004.67.bin) Cold boot to OGXBox 2021 Installer Disk Run 2.2.1.1. Flash EvoX 256KB Bios (1.0 – 1.4) OR Run 2.2.3.2. Flash iND Bios (1.0 - 1.4). Do I have to worry about the "Err16 fix" because I removed the Clock capacitor and want to install on a "brand new"/unpartitioned HDD? Run 3.1.2. AiO Setup a new large HDD Run 4.3.6. Install XBMC4Gamers 8.2. Reboot the System (Without DVD). CerBios 2.0.3R Completly follow 16TB in an OG Xbox? CERBIOS has arrived (Borderline OCD) Is the step "BIOS Selection" with FATXplorer possible if the HDD is only/lower 2 TB (as the description for "Cerbios, Titan" says -> Only available for disks larger than 2 TB.? Having fun with 2 TB of Space Thank you very much in advance for your reply and help. Best regards bachmma1
  12. Hey guys I'm running into an issue using hddguru raw copy an it get to about 14% And comes up with this error in the picture below I've tried multiple hard drives and I am now wondering if it's the torrent I downloaded. Has anyone else had these issues and might know how to fix them. Your help is much appreciated thank you for your time
  13. I have been trying many combintations based on info found here, but still cannot get the dash to see G: Drive. I have a 1.6 with an original X2.6 Install, and a 2tb drive with the Origin Image (Only becuase I wanted to get things setup and back into OG Xbox) I have been using bios' downloaded from the right sources, and uploading them via ethernet with flashbios always on bank 1&2. I have tried the following either modified with EVTool (for 256k) or X2ool for the Xecuter bios (5035 512k) I try to mod the bios for LBA support, but its not happening. I think there maybe an issue with the programs above and compatability/admin rights?? So far I have tried: x2_5035_v16plus_512k modified with X2ool M8plus_16 modified with EVTool (1.0.8) M8_16_LBA48_IGR_C-06 modified with EVTool (1.0.8) The last one I really expected to work......I've not played with any partition tools as I was concerned that I might loose data. Finally, I've not tried any of the installation DVD's as the drives dont seem to be working.....

  15. Greetings from Japan, wonderful people of this wonderful forum! I have been a long time lurker and and even longer time dreamer (to have a OG Xbox). As you might know here in Japan Original Xboxes are rare and come pretty expensive (50 to 120usd depending on the conditions). Anyway I recently bit the bullet and for 4500jpy(40usd) got my hands on a semitransparent black limited edition with controllers HD converters and original cables, all in very good conditions (externally). DVD is finicky but after few shots works. MB should be a 1.0 according to serial number. The seal is still intact which makes me believe nobody has been in there. I got a copy of splinter cell, ordered usb port and ide-to-sata interface, ide cables. I am studying now right usb stick while I was looking my chances for a softmod and maybe an HDD upgrade (I have many laying around). I read discussions in which members say "chip or death" but I am noob with solder - I fix almost everything all the time so I do not know if it is a bit of a complex, Japanese humility or just I am still a noob for real. Let's just say I am not confident enough to try TSOP or modchips on this beauty while just remove the clock capacitor is something I would feel totally ok doing. Looking around for component I stumbled upon this seller online that offers what stated in the title: a modded xbox 128mb ram, 2tb, fanless heatsink, softmodded for 200usd. I mean just the components are about 150usd. The guy clearly loves xbox. The fan-less heat-sink and the lack of a modchip are the only two things that really make me go like "nani?" especially the heat sink so I decided to ask here... I know that later models did not have one but is it safe? also how it is the price? should I just drop it and buy this one or should I softmod it by myself? In case can I swap the "shell" with the one I have or depends on the MB series? Thank you for reading this huge thing. edit: also can you suggest me a reliable and noob friendly step by step guide to softmod?
  16. I've got a 1.1 XBOX, made October 2002. I soft modded it using Rocky5 files and then did a TSOP flash with EVO X with F & G. All went well and I next tried to upgrade the HDD from the stock one to a Segate 2TB after upgrading the IDE cable to 80 wire one. I tried the first adapter from the top of the picture you see below but the XBOX didn't see the HDD, so then I tried the second adapter (middle one). The XBOX saw the HDD and HeXen 2018 loaded up from disc, it installed all the dash/app files, then usex XB Partioner to split F & G into equal sizes 926GB (approx if I recall from memory). At this point everything was going well and the XBOX would boot fine into dash, I even managed to transfer some games and then started installing XBMC and some emulators, during this the XBOX seemed to freeze and not respond. I rebooted the XBOX but it kept giving me error 7 and sometimes error 9. I tried everything possible including formatting the hard drive on the PC and reconnecting, tried other hard drives but all gave the same result. I then tried the first adapter from the top and the XBOX would boot but won't run anything from the DVD drive. Finally I bought the third IDE to SATA adapter, third one at the bottom of the picture and this arrived today This sadly has not changed the outcome and I continued now to get error 7 with all 3 different adapters With all this mentioned, the XBOX boots fine into dashboard with the original hard drive and current EVO X BIOS flash. I've also tried all jumper settings on both second and third adapter that has jumper pins. At this point I'm lost to what is the problem, could I just possibily ended up with 3 bad Chinese IDE to SATA adapters? I've ordered StarTech.com 40-Pin IDE PATA to SATA Adapter Converter and this will land in the next day or two for me to test. Any input on this would be appreciated.
  17. So, I'm an old man and I can't remember how I flashed this XBox years ago. I have an Aladdin XT Plus2 with Evox +3935 and M8plus_16 fan 40.06 (not sure what size bios that is). I wrote a 2TB image to a drive and get an error telling me to upgrade to LBA48 ver 2. Can someone point me in the right direction. I do have FTP access to the box.
  18. Hello All, I have an original xbox rev 1.3 and already installed an Executer 2.6CE modchip. I'm ready to order an upgraded 2TB or 3TB hard drive. I have been out of the scene for a long time and sure could use recommendations... Is this Seagate Barracuda the best choice? Or recommend something else that will be easiest? https://www.amazon.com/Seagate-BarraCuda-Internal-Drive-3-5-Inch/dp/B07H2RR55Q/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=st2000dm008&qid=1626155702&sr=8-3 Is there a better IDA to SATA interface than this one? https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-Drive-Optical-Adapter-Converter/dp/B00EOJNGC2/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=IDE+to+SATA&qid=1626155999&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExMDIwM1JXUlg1VFg2JmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMDMwMzQ5MkFHQjZHTUxTRjQ0QSZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwODk1Mjg4WVlMSk41WFlLTTk4JndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ== And this 80-pin cable ok? Any better one? https://www.amazon.com/s?k=40-Pin+80-Wire&i=electronics&ref=nb_sb_noss_2 Thank you! Robert

  20. So I had a hard modded xbox from long time ago. I followed the steps and got this img to work on that xbox. So i went out and got a none modded one. Installed a OpenXenium following Mr Mario's youtube video. Then i installed the img onto another hard drive and everything worked beside it would not see drive G. So i tried a few things and nothing worked. But now after i get to the flubber screen. It just goes to a black screen and nothing happens. Am i doing something wrong? I am not doing this to resell these consoles. I wanna give them to my brother / uncle who wants one.

  23. Hi there, so today I upgraded my Xbox’s hard drive to a 2TB WD blue and in unleash X, it’s showing just 500gb available to use as storage. But when I set up the hard drive using hexen, XBpartioner let me choose 900gb partitions for F and G. Is there something I’ve done wrong to not allow the hard drives full capacity? My Xbox had a duo x2 chip and I’m on my bank that has evox bios installed. I didn’t install this chip so I’m unsure of what version of Evox this has. any help in much appreciated. Thanks in advance
