I tested the chip. It works. It will not boot when D0 is activated in a 1.3 motherboard. Solder points should be good. Chip DOES have power and lights up. @Dtomcat18

This is my worklog. I'll post pics and thoughts! Why am I sharing this? Because I can! Modding the other 1.4 halo console tonight with an XBlast Lite from Tomcat. I don't have to share such a routine procedure, but I feel like doing so. I should celebrate: I will finally start receiving the income I've been waiting for and I'll have all the time I want to learn new skills and get better at the things I've always wanted to learn. I will also be able to invest in consoles and get a little bit of everything and try to get some broad experience with all there is available. Oh and I bought a shitload of pinnheaders. I can mod like, 60 Xboxes now. I'm unsure of what to do for sure with this console. I don't know whether to keep the chip in, or just use it to flash the TSOP so I can sell the console. But it will have another 2tb origins drive in it, just like my X3 does. I have some shit to buy... I'll start another thread about it. Anyway! Oh and I'll try to use this chip to revive my black coma console.

Hello I'm having an issue successfully flashing a split Tsop using the xblast lite modchip. I've albeit believe I've successfully soldered d0, a15 and A19 to the modchip. I can see the split in xblast os, I can boot either split but it currently has a 1mb cerbios 2.02 on there. I can boot either bank from the modchip. My issue is with tsop_m7, I flash this to the 256k bank of the modchip and proceed to boot with hexen inserted that boots off the other bios. I get no display and a solid green lights, eventually the Xbox power cycles back to xblast os. I've also tried setting the front switches to boot the 256k bank on power on same issue but it'll power cycle every minute or 2. I've tried setting xblast os to boot bank 2 with the power button. Same issue The option "force tsop recovery" has been set to both tsop banks - no change I've also tried tsop_m7 on the 512k xblast lite bank - same issue I'm stuck, not sure what to try next with the exception of shortening the a15 wire as I know I gave it too much ( approx 8 - 10 cm) but would rather not mess around with it if it's fine. Thanks for reading, any help is appreciated

I've got one of these Aladdin XT clones from Aliexpress and want to flash it with XBlast instead of using the openxenium for testing my boards I do ram upgrade on. From what I read some said that the SST49LF020A chip needs to be replaced with SST49LF080A. Anyone has more idea of how this is exactly done or is there a write up about this? I've attached a picture of the SST49LF020A that's on the Aladdin XT I got at the moment/

Hello everyone! I will tell you about my problem: I have an Xbox 1.0 with TSOP and 128Mb of RAM (I bought it pre-modified), I have tried to install an Aladdin Xblast by soldering the pinheaders to the LPC port and soldering point D0 of the motherboard to D0 of the chip (I have also tried soldering D0 from motherboard to ground on motherboard) and got FRAG. I have followed Barnito's Lpc Diagnostics (V0.1) guide (https://www.ogxbox.com/forums/index.php?/topic/239-lpc-diagnostics-v01/#comment-945) to verify voltages and continuity. With respect to continuity everything is correct except pin 2 and with respect to voltages everything is correct (+-10% of the correct voltage) except pin 1 0V and pin 5 1.7V. If I disconnect the D0 cable from the chip or ground, or if I disconnect the Aladdin chip, the console boots correctly with the Cerbios bios that I flashed in the TSOP and boots my Xbmc4gamers. What could be the problem? (if photos are necessary, I'll take them later when I get home from work)

Hello, hoping someone can help here. I've made several xblast aladdin chips, as well as the Jafar chips, and quickboot will never boot the designated bios i have selected in Xblast Settings. No matter what i do, it always boots to the Xblast OS. For example: i have quickboot set to yes, i have X25035 as my 512k Bank(0), IND5003 as bank(1), and Cromwell as bank (2) aka Xblast. If i assign either the 256k or the 512k bios to launch pressing the Eject button, it will work as it's supposed to.

I have 5 Aladdin XTs upgraded with 1MB SST49LF080As and reprogrammed to run XblastOS with 2 banks (1x 256KB, 1x 512KB.) $25 + shipping, Paypal goods and services I also have some v1.6 LPC rebuild boards if you'd like to buy them together. $28 + shipping for Aladdin + LPC board I'm in the USA and will ship internationally, just be aware of import duties and what to expect in your country. Send a message if you're interested.

Hey, I have installed the chip successfully and flashed the M8plus16 bios to the 256k slot but my DVD drive is toast and wont read my setup dvd (I tried tweaking the pot in stages all the way down to 500 ohms but nothing). I have installed and formatted a new harddrive within Xblast but is there a way to install a dashboard without a dvd drive? Is there a Bios with a built in FTP server for example? Thanks!

Mainly what the titel say's. I have an X-Charger 2.5 with Lattice LC4064V on it and I wonder if would be possible to switch the chip to XBlast OS.

Hey guys, Happy near year, hope you all enjoyed some time off and got some gaming in!! I have a new xbox v1.0 that I have installed a Xblast Lite modchip with a 2Tb sata HDD, all is working OK I think. But just confused as to the best bios to run on each of the banks, it has the 512kb and 256kb bank, correct? Also using the 2021 installer disk how do you chose which bank to flash a different bios onto? Cheers, Bryce

Hi, I recently damaged my xbox while installing MakeMHz HDMI, I shorted the video encoder chip and killed the motherboard. I swapped the motherboard since then with a 1.4/1.5 (FOCUS), salvaged the xblast lite modchip but the xbox does not boot once D0 is wired. Xbox does auto on/off twice then turns on with fast flashing light. This is the same pattern I usually get when I have a short during 128mb ram install. Also I thoroughly followed the instructions https://bitbucket.org/psyko_chewbacca/lpcmod_os/wiki/xblast_lite_manual/Installation Long story short, the on board tsop is flashed with xblast OS and I can see the available banks of the modchip when D0 is not connected. Is there way to test the modchip separately and eventually fix it? it is the best modchip I ever used till now and would hope to make it work again. Thanks,

Hi Im in the process of upgrading my ram. The mod chip im using is an x2.6 with ind-bios. I have the xblastos xbe installed on my HDD. My thinking was that I could boot to my dashboard then launch the xblastos xbe to check each ram chip. However, upon powering on the xbox, it boots three times and the led's flash red and orange. My question is do I need the xblast bios flashed to my modchip for the xbox to boot during the upgrade or have I made a mistake during the installation? Im quite confident about my soldering. Checking under x60 magnification and lots of light tia

Hi, all Some of you might know I have already had a Xbox (v1.1) with TSOP flashed (M8+ only) recently For a v1.1 Xbox, its TSOP (1MB) with only 256k M8+ is a bit wasted. Meanwhile, i read about Xblast OS which Forlorn Penguin suggested me before to use it to flash BIOS to TSOP. And Now I realized that Xblast OS is not just a bios flash program, but with multiple useful tools. and more importantly to me, it can be flashed/installed to Modchip (including TSOP) I read that its can be flashed to onboard TSOP, as Bennydiamond said in AG forum https://assemblergames.com/threads/release-xblast-os-v0-50.65434/ Archived page access: https://assembler-games.com/threads/release-xblast-os-v0-50.65434/ However, there is no specific instruction and video that I can search from google to specify this. So I hope someone here, based on your best knowledge, could share and confirm whether this is really workable for 1MB TSOP Here comes my plan and assumption, can anyone help me to verify? 1. install/upload Xblast in drive per its instruction in its zip file 2. run xblast.xbe, enter its program/OS 3. Go to flash menu, select Bank2 (xblast OS), (Here, I am not sure if it will show 3 Banks as xblast illustrated, or 4 banks as my current TSOP has) 4. select crcwell.bin, then flash --> reboot 5. Xbox enter xblast os, go to flash menu, select bank0 (512k), choose X2.5032.bin, flash --> reboot 6. Xbox enter xblast os, go to flash menu, select bank1 (256k), choose M8+.bin , flash --> reboot Will there be any issue for the procedures above? Your help would be much appreciated ! Peter

So I have reprogrammed the cpld of the aladdin xt ready for xblasting, I have tried booting the console off an x2 duo lite modchip hotswapping and flashing xblast however Evox Gives me "flash not writable" error. I am using sst49lf080a chips and all of them say the same. I have tried flashing the 1mb bank 1mb dual and 256k. The 256k works with the original 49lf020a and I can flash it however after reprogramming the cpld and fitting the 49lf080a chip the flash is not writable. I have no wires on the modchip and grounded d0 on the board. I am completely stumped and dont want to fork out for a programmer for the 49lf080a chips especially if they could be bad. What the hell can I do or could the chips I have be bad? Serious Thanks in advanced!

Hello all. Just recently got into making my own Aladdin xblast chips. I've noticed a few people around here have been looking for them. Currently have 4 Aladdin chips in stock. The CPLD will be flashed with xblast by this weekend. Please bare with me, if I am out of stock, as my current job only pay's minimum wage, and it is quite difficult for me to purchase materials to make the Xblast chips. I am working to make some more soon. In the mean time, if you need one I'm selling.

Hello World So I've finally found a Xblast Modchip but... broken one, before buying it, would be happy to hear any advices from the techy folks regarding this situation and what can be done. So seems like the guy who sells it, somehow succeded to crack that U4 chip, and cut a few legs on the Xilinx CPLD, which looks like - they can not be repopulated. The questions are: 1, What chip is U4? 2. Will the new replacement Xilinx XC9572XL CPLD need any firmware? (did not found anything on the xblast repository) 3. Will the SVF from Aladdin Xblast Mod work in this case? (as I know, to launch XBlast bios on Aladdin Modchip, the PLCC32 must have the bios itself, then CPLD also should be written with something) This is how the SVF for Aladdin CPLD LC4032V-XXT44 starts: !
