  1. Ok so I recently soft modded my Xbox with the latest Rocky5 build and installed chimp via the extras disc. I then hooked up my 1tb lockable sata hard drive with a star tech ide adapter and also a 80 pin cable. This was set to slave with the og hardrive set to master. Everything seemed to be ok whilst rubbing chimp. The process took around an hour and half with speeds of around 3MiB’s per second to transfer the 5gb of content stored on the Xbox. I then fully installed my 1tb whilst set to master but I got error 7/6 on boot. I tried to re do the process but now when I launch chimp it states that my slave drive is locked and I can’t unlock it even though I’ve tried all of the unlock options. I’ve also tried 2 other compatible drives but as soon as I launch chimp it states that they are locked even though they wasn’t before. Even when I try them back in my pc they are now password locked at the bios screen and can not be unlocked. For these drives I haven’t even ran any processes within chimp for it to lock them in the first place. Anyone have any ideas?
  2. I bought this at a Goodwill years ago and there's something unusual wrong with it. It doesn't have any scratches or paint chips. Whenever I insert it it says "You need to connect the DVD Playback Kit receiver to a controller port to watch movies. Remove the disc to continue." So I went to my local pawn shop to get the DVD Playback kit. I get a message that says. "This is an Xbox game disc. Please put it in your Xbox to start playing." I'm confused!! How do I fix this?!
  3. I'm trying to play this NTSC game on my hardmodded PAL console, but when I boot the game up from the game disc, the console simply reads it as a video and loads the DVD portion of the disc. I tested the disc on my vanilla PAL Xbox as well, and even on that console, the same thing happens with (there's no region error screen, it just plays the familiar screen shown in the link). I haven't had any problems playing NTSC games from the game disc on my modded Xbox previously, so I don't understand what the problem is. Any ideas? Thanks.
  4. I have a TSOPED Xbox PAL console and it is running the 2TB Origins image. I had previously set the the video mode to NTSC and was using the HD resolutions fine no problem with a HD component cable, only trouble was the cable was not good quality and caused a lot of buzzing sound through my speakers. So I bought the Bitfunx HMDI adaptor (think it is similar, if not same as the Pound one). Problem I have now is that I can't seem to use it and display in NTSC HD modes at all. If I set the console to PAL the Xbox shows the EVOX boot screen and then loads the dashboard fine (obviously only in the lowest res PAL mode) If I set the console to NTSC the Xbox shows the EVOX boot screen but then the dashboard won't show as it appears the TV is not receiving a HD signal. I am stuck, is there anything I can try? Thanks in advance.
  5. I have a 1.0 Xbox with an Xecuter 1.1 modchip installed. Used the Truhexen disk to install a brand new sata drive no issues. Trouble i am having is getting tge xbox to boot automatically to UnleashX. It only boots to the normal MS dash no matter what I select in Truhexen as my default dash. Have tried Slayer and AID clean installs choosing UnleashX but also always boots to normal MS dash. What am I missing? i did remove clock capacitor but i dont think that should matter
  6. Hey I am having an issue with emustation and adding Sega games. I have SNES and NES all setup. When I go and add my Sega ROMs they cut off the last letter of most of my ROMs names. Which then it won't allow me to link my artwork. I can't seem to get around this. Any one else experience this. Could it be my rom set? The games all work as they should just the art work and names being cut off. They are .Md. Designation. I have tried it under both genesis and mega drive
  7. I just got a 360 and am hoping to get my original Xbox games working. Thus far, only Halo will play. I tried Deathrow, Quantum Redshift, and Black Stone, but they won't run. I did think they were on the compatible list. This is a used console, so I don't know if maybe I am missing an update of some kind.
  8. I recently received an original modded Xbox. I bought a Pelican brand arcade stick to use with the 1000+ arcade games that were included. The trouble I’m having is that the system freaks out when I plug the arcade stick in. Things either freeze or games/emulators don’t load at all. It will work for a little while with the Xbox games loaded on there before freezing and it will work perfectly fine on a non modded Xbox. My only guess is that it’s because it can’t do the same control actions like on a regular controller, so maybe the system gets confused. That’s kind of a wild guess though. Anyone have this problem or any idea on what’s causing it?
  9. Hi there, I'm having some strange issues formatting SATA HDDs on a 1,6 Xbox with and Aladding xt +2 modchip. I have upgraded to a 1TB SATA drive with the SATA/IDE adaptor and the 80 wire cable. I just did this on a Xbox 1.0 and it worked just fine, but when I try on the 1.6 Xbox even though I try to write the partition at 927.7 GB it never shows up correctly after the reboot, the F drive is only 120GB and after many tries still cannot access the full amount of memory.. Tried a bunch of times, wondered if something was wrong with the drive (it was used but was working perfectly before I upgraded my computer to an SSD) so I went out and bought a brand new 2TB Seagate drive and I'm still having a ton of weirdness. When I try to make both partitions 927.7GB it still shows very strangely after a reboot. It shows (again) that the F drive is only 120GB but is showing the G drive at like over 1700 GBs. To my knowledge the largest size these partitions (with 64KB clusters) can be is 1024GB and anything over that will not work correctly. I kept messing with it and I can't get the two equal sized partitions no matter what. I have tried loading some games on and it seems to work (games load), and the memory seems to display correctly (minus the size of the game copied) after I copy a game. Should I bother worrying about this? The GBs do after all add up to pretty much 2TB... It just seems so strange because I was really pretty sure you can't have partitions over 1TB.. Also since I had no issues before on the 1.0 version I was thinking it could just be the Xbox somehow...? That seems wrong too though... Any clarification or suggestions would be super appreciated, thanks a bunch.
