My OG xbox wont turn on. Not a single bulging or leaky cap. I was going to replace all the caps but I noticed this and I dont know what it is, how to tell if its bad or how to order a new one. It looks kinda burned on the top but it just appears to be the rubber and not the part itself. is there a way to check it with a multi meter. The part I am asking about is the one in the first picture

So yes, guys that is my question, please help me here. I am trying to buy an original component xbox 360 cable, to then build an Xbox component cable (using a tutorial from the forum). I live in south america and buying internationally is not an option (2 to 3 months of wait). Could this be an original 360 component cable? Don't laugh if is not, it looks kinda of in bad shape, but it has a similarity to my composite cables for the OG Xbox. It the ONLY one I have found in my entire country (seller SAYS it's original):

I opened an xbox that I picked up at the weekend last night. There was a problem with the disk drive as it kept opening an closing and wouldn't read a disk when it was held closed while the disk was spinning. I suspected a faulty drive but when I opened it I found that it was absolutely filthy inside and that something had leaked - I have attached pics - I think it's a 1.6 so I don't know what is leaking or if it is repairable - any help greatly appreciated. I'm debating selling this Xbox and I really don't want to be low-balled because I don't know the true value of it, so I was hoping you guys could help me. I know it's an Xecutor 3 Christmas Edition chip with a black pro switch, which I've heard is pretty rare; the 4th bank switch is missing the cover cap but I'm trying to find a replacement for it.

Now i know there is no picture for it but this is the best i could do since i had to use wayback machine . It was a skin from Treya87 called Oblivion Nights. Hi, I've owned a couple of OG Xbox's, one was a Friendtech Modded one with all the bell's and whistles, the other was a stock Xbox that I eventually soft modded. Unfortunately my Friendtech Xbox was stolen during a house burglary by some near do well nefarious SOB's, but they left my Soft Modded Xbox for some reason. Recently after watching some youtube videos explaining tsop flashing I decided to give it a go. I identified my XBOX as a V1.4 with a winbond tsop. I removed the battery capacitor as suggested but am still struggling bridging my R7D1 and R7D10, I thought I had it but the flashing failed. (The damn things are so tiny!). Anyways I'm going to have another go with the soldering iron, maybe try using a bit of wire to bridge the pads. Anyways, thanks for having me
