  5. Hello again, I got another Xbox with another problem. It`s a box manufactured 2003 (so no 1.6 I guess) and it`s a SmartXX built in from 2004. There are several banks flashed with some BIOS files (see picture). There was only a 160GB IDE drive installed so I decided to change it to a SATA 2TB. I made a FTP-copy of the files from C and E. I used FatXplorer to prepare the drive and copied all previously saved files to the new C and E drives to the new partitions. After that I got error 21 after boot. The only working Dash is the EvolutionX but it won`t recognize the F and G partition as it should. I formatted F and G 927GB each but as you can see in the picture it shows only F and not even the correct size. I think the flashed BIOS version is too old. When EvolutionX boots up it shows Xecuter2 below the green xbox logo. Wich BIOS do I need to flash SmartXX and how do I flash it? I need your help again Regards.
  6. Hello, i recently found my old xbox again and i noticed that when i want to go into the official dashboard i get error code 13 and it prevents me to enter it. everything else works but the problem is i want to change my system language and audio settings and it seems it is only possible via the og dashboard. anyone able to help me out? i found a bunch of compilation discs but it seems they are only for softmodded consoles. thanks in advance!
  7. Is this kind of in-BIOS FTP access really useful? Does it feature on many chips? I'd also like to try out the SmartXX Remote Flasher, but while it detected my xbox on the network, and I could select a BIOS, I couldn't get it to flash anything. Very cool nonetheless and just thought I'd share this.
  8. Located in Sweden but I ship worldwide. Have four original XBOX base units that I need sell to clear some room here http://www.amibay.com/images/smilies/smile.gif I have replaced the harddrives in all of them with bigger harddrives and flashed the BIOS with a custom BIOS. All of the units work flawlessly EXCEPT the DVD drives in them which is a common problem with the original XBOX, sometimes they have problem ready discs or close or eject the tray. This can be an easy fix, there are tons of helpful tips on the internet to solve this by for example cleaning and lubricating them, replacing the drive belt or calibrating the laser. The units and prices are as follows: XBOX unit #1 Version 1.6 SmartXX V3 chip with custom BIOS (can hold several BIOS'es) 500GB IDE Harddrive €60 XBOX unit #2 Version 1.0 TSOP'ed with custom BIOS 80GB IDE Harddrive €35 XBOX unit #3 Version 1.1 TSOP'ed with custom BIOS 500GB IDE Harddrive €45 XBOX unit #4 Version 1.6 Softmodded 1TB SATA HDD €50 All the units are in good condition for it's age, I can provide you with pictures and screenshots if there's a need. Buyers pays for postage and shipping.

  10. Hi folks, I purchased a 1.2 XBox not knowing that there is a SmartXX V2 working in it Now I'm trying to get all the old rubbish from the box and 1st. changed fhe HDD to a 1TB and reinstalled the XBox with HeXen. My next thing would be trying to update the SmartXX OS (Build 3335) and the Bios. I learned that the M7 Mod-Bios is a pretty old one. Are there any links between SmartXX and the bios? e.g. I can/should only use/flash special bios-files which are compatible with the SmartXX Mod-Chip? Where can I get Yan update for the SmartXX OS nowadays? All sources do not work Dors anyone has a tip for good working Bios to change against the old M7 one on my XBox? Where can I find such bioses?
  11. I have a 3 original xbox consoles. They all work and I love my xbox consoles. The issue that I have is one of them says it is modded with the SmartXX mod chip via a sticker on the outside of the xbox. When I attempt to turn on the xbox, I see what I believe to be a linux version of software installed on it and this doesn't have a lcd or anything else installed on it. I could open it up to see what version of the mod chip is installed on it. But prior to doing that, I have a few questions. Is this xbox no longer usable as a regular xbox? Is there a way to enable the standard mode for the xbox. Without a keyboard that can plug into this, how am I even supposed to use this xbox? Where do you find a keyboard that can plug into the modded xbox, as the controller port is different than usb, etc. Does anyone have the documentation for one of these mod chips? That could help me understand what this does?

  15. Hello, I purchased this chip a while back and decided to install it in my TSOP modded Xbox so I could add another LCD unit to my collection. the pin header section was removed by the previous owner, which I do not think is a problem because I seen a video of someone using the same chip with the wire install using the solder pads as I did. Every time I press power or eject It frags, but if I remove the DO it boots my TSOP fine. I tried all the button presses to try to get the OS to load, but no go. I have been searching online now for a few hours to no avail, not much info on this chip left out there now. I am hoping someone here has experience with this chip. I see there are 3 spots labeled JP1, JP2 and JP3. it appears they are for adding switches for hard selecting a bios on the chip but I'm just not sure. I think someone flashed it incorrectly, is there a way to rescue the chip? I keep seeing posts about there being a backup on the chip to rescue it.
