Have an Xecuter 3 system that is running Avalaunch as the primary boot dashboard. I messed up with the XBE shortcut tool and have my system trying to boot up a bad file / folder path. Now when I boot up my system it remains stuck at the Xbox logo with “Microsoft” at the bottom of the screen (see attached). How can I fix this issue? I do not have any blank DVD/CD-R’s. Thanks

Hi all, I'm hoping there's a reasonably simple way to add CoinOPS launch icon alongside the Applications, Games, Emulators folders/icons on the Root of the dashboard? I've tried adding the source to have the CoinOPS icon (folder) appear on Root, next to the Applications, Games and Emulators icons. Then within the CoinOPS folder I created a shortcut .xbe within its own folder that points to the defaultsplash.xbe used by CoinOPS, this does point to and loads CoinOPS from its actual location but is a bit messy imo. I also don't know how to create an icon picture for this, within Xbe Shortcut Maker 2.0, it asks for Custom Icon (.xbx), I've tried googling where to go from here but can't find anything relevant to help. I've found some .xbx files and tried using them but nothing shows for the icon, also tried small .jpg files etc. I also tried copying your _resources folder for CoinOPS 8 from the Artwork Installer to this folder which does show the artwork, but also when accessing this folder from the dash root it shows the "_resources" folder as an option to open which I ideally want to be hidden. There must be a better way to create this icon within XBMC4Gamers? How have you all got this simplified to just work? Hope you don't mind tagging you @Rocky5 ? I'm sure the question has come up before and you'd know if there's an easy way to add a shortcut without much mess

I've made several .cut files to launch Doom Wads to play, But now I've got a weird problem where the last file doesn't load in this cut: <shortcut> <path>F:\Homebrew\Odamex_v0.7.0\odamex.xbe</path> <label>DOOM II [A]</label> <thumb>F:\Homebrew\Odamex_v0.7.0\default.tbn</thumb> <custom> <game>-waddir "D:\IWads;D:\PWads\_Addons\Doom 2 Minor Sprite Fixing Project v2.0;D:\PWads\_Addons\Vanilla Smooth Weapons\Extra Fixes by Community\Scuba Steve Fix;D:\PWads\_Addons\Vanilla Brightmaps" -iwad DOOM2.wad -file D2SPFX20.WAD D2DEHFIX.DEH vsmooth.wad SoftFX_32in24_15_tex_v2_cleaned.wad HEADL0_SoftFX.wad</game> </custom> </shortcut> If I move the HEADL0_softFX.wad before SoftFX_32in24_15_tex_v2_cleaned.wad then that loads it, but the last file being "SoftFX_32in24_15_tex_v2_cleaned.wad " doesn't loads. Switching them vice versa only results in the last file not loading. Which is making me think that there's a file limit for the parameters. Here is a preview of the directory of those last files on my XBox: Is this a .cut limitation or Odamex's 0.7.0 limitation in reading the parameters?

Hello everyone, i am new here and looking for some help! after over 15 years (possibly more) i got my old Xbox out of the attic for my children to play with. it has a Xecutor 2.3b Pro modchip, and had the EvoX M7 Bios. i happened to have an old redundant laptop with a 1tb 2.5" Sata drive not being used, so i decided to get the 80 wire cable, IDE to SATA converter and install a larger Hard drive. so last night i did this and discovered i needed to update the Bios to EvoX M8+ in order to see more than 130gb on the F: Drive. so i did this, initially selecting the wrong Bios (i assume!) as on the 'FLASHING BIOS NOW' screen (i used Hexen 2018) it got about 25% of the way through.... then just sat there, after 20 minutes, I decided to had to turn off and it was FRAG! its been YEARS since i used the thing, and after some googled i realised i had the duel bios chip with the Dip Switches, so managed to get it to boot into the backup EvoX M7, this time, flashed again (the duff bank) with 256k EvoX M8+ F&G and everything worked perfectly (950+ GB on F:, way more than i will ever need!) so this morning, I managed to configure the FTP setting with a Crossover cable and transfer a couple of games to the HDD. they seem to run fine, but i have an odd issue: when i use the short cut on the controller (both shoulder buttons, Back + Start) to return to the dash.... the Bios WIPES itself!!! what the heck is going on!? anyone got any ideas? I can flick the Dip Switches and boot back into EvoX M7/Hexen and re-flash but this is a very odd issue! and i cant seem to find any info about it, has anyone experienced this? thanks for your help, much appreciated!

Hi. Recently bought an OG Xbox running CoinOps 8 premium/massive/ninja and UnleashX. I've FTP'd Time Splitters 2 to f:/games/Time Splitters 2 and refreshed 'Games' in Unleash X. Game is seen and works fine. What I can't figure out is how to add a shortcut pointing to the default.xbe file to make the game show up in the CoinOps front end under Console Systems/Xbox. I have the shortcut maker and I've read loads of tuts and forum posts but I'm completely confused now. Any help greatly appreciated. Cheers!
