  1. I can only join Insignia online after I run the MS Dashboard network troubleshooter and IGR back to Unleash X and launch a game to play online. My configuration is the same for both MS network and Unleash X network settings. I wish to keep Unleash X if possible and in worst case scenario keep doing what works. I am running another router as a wireless bridge client. What is Auto-Detect under network settings in Unleash X? How can I get Insignia to work without running MS Dashboard network troubleshooter every time? 2. Will user-generated iso's work, I backed up a game in iso form [to match the checksum with redump to ensure the backup made is good]. But these are 7.28 GB [due to the junk data], so if I extract the iso and then remake an iso from the raw files the newly created iso file is smaller, as now the junk data is removed. Will such iso's created work fine. The newly released Cerbios supports games in iso format, but i do not know if only original iso(s) are supported or user-generated ones are also. I am using this tool to make the iso from the raw game files. https://github.com/XboxDev/extract-xiso
  3. So I bought my XB from Ebay. It shipped with Aladdin plus modchip ( booted with blue Logo and text ) but running to original MS Dashboard. I assumed previous owner just want to run the game dvds and didnt need the dashboard thought. Its HDD is locked so plug to PC is impossible. I have tested several disc with its dvd player and can confirm its Samsung DVD is now dead. Id like to ask if there is anyway to install the Evox dashboard to its HDD or will it work if I format and copy EvoX dashboard to new HDD and plug it to the console? Thank you.
  4. HI guys Just a question regarding pal games, I have a modded Xbox set to ntsc to run 480p and higher. My question is Pal games, is the 480p feature completely removed from the games? Or will it run at 480p in my modded ntsc console?
  5. Is it possible to run say UnleashX as an App in XBMC4GAMERS? I tried it, and it seems like it’s trying to load but doesn’t.
  6. I'm running the Rocky softmod 1.1.6. I'm currently having issues running games in NTSC rather than my native PAL region. (Doing this for hd resolution) I have been running games in NTSC mode by doing the following: Going to video settings enabling 480p,720p and 1080i modes then saving these settings. I'll then go to whichever installed game I want to play, hit select and opt to run it in NTSC mode. Very small amount of installed games have worked, but more often than not they will freeze at the loading screen and I will be forced to power off. This then brings up error code 11 when I try reboot, which seems to be caused by the Xbox trying to reboot in NTSC. Fix for this I found is to switch it off again, and turn off its power source for 10 mins. Any ideas if I'm doing something wrong here?
  7. In the Build v1.1.8\Extras Disc\Documents folder their is a txt file that says: You can run the "Xbox Softmodding Tool Extras Disc.iso" from the Xbox HDD. What happens if I run the virtual image and wish to restore xbox to factory using that image. Will it corrupt the drive as the image is being read off the same drive? Or being a virtual image it is stored in a temporary location and once the xbox is restored it is deleted and won't interfere when restoring.
  8. Hello everyone! This is my first post, so apologies if it’s formatted incorrectly. I’m currently having a tough time trying to diagnose what could be causing my Xbox to output a wobbly video signal as seen here. I’ve tried -swapping power supplies -replacing the 5 caps near the cpu -giving the board and console a deep clean I’m thinking maybe it’s a grounding issue? Or perhaps the video encoding chip is about to die? Honestly I’m at a loss. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you guys.
  9. Underclocked 1ghz Xbox to 735mhz by patching the bios to 107mhz FSB (using XBoverclock by WulfyStylez). It fixed GTA Vice City and Rallisport 2, which XBEpatcher (by mwaterbu) did not manage to fix. Not sure if works for all games, but seems like it should. This probably could be loaded by Phoenix Bios Loader or can be on a modchip bank, waiting to be selected when needed.
  10. Upon bootup my xbox goes as far as to displaying the XBOX screen and then freezes there, if I try to eject the tray the screen goes blank and flashes for a moment before bringing back up the XBOX screen. I've received no error and have yet to put in a recovery disc
  11. Hi guys. Just got my upgraded 1.5Ghz/ 128mb hoping to have that extra emulation boost on certain games while running via jamma connector on my arcade cab. I just realized that CoinOps doesn't seem to be too happy about my upgrade since the preview videos in the UI won't play smoothly anymore. Also... I couldn't find a way to set a throttle for the games as they are all running way too fast now. There is the overclock feature ingame setting when pushing back and right thumb stick. Decreasing the overclock is not fine enough and I couldn't match the og game speed as well as the sound seems still off. Does anybody have any experience running an upgraded box with CoinOps? Maybe I need to switch the emulator which supports an automatic throttle? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Dan
  12. Hi Guys So I have a 1.6 xbox NTSC-J xbox running an aladin chip. So if I just press the power button gently it will load the stock bios with the modchip disabled. If I hold it in for about a second, it'll load the mod chip which is running unleash X. So what I'd like to do is load a different dash board when I run the stock bios as its pretty useless considering its NTSC-J. My question is, is it possible to simply replace the MS dash board ".xbe" file with a shortcut to another dash board like XBMC4Gamers. If this is possible, what is the file that the stock xbox bios loads to get to the dashboard?
  13. So I stumbled across the PS1 emulator for the original Xbox and I thought great. So I load it on a bunch of games and to my disappointment a lot of them did not run great. Game such a Silent Hill and Resident Evil some of the consoles best. The original Xbox could not handle some of the graphical demands the PS1 could deliver. So I took it upon myself to see what is available to run good on pcsxbox v22b22 I loaded on an FTP over over a hundred original PS1 games. And I tested every single one over the course of a couple days. The results are in. Now I know emulation is not perfected for the PS1 but I wanted to know what kind of a game list I could put together with what is available now Surprisingly to see frames per second in some games did not matter. I am including frames per second in the list. But please look past it. This does not mean the game is not running good.. a game could be running as little as 10 or 12 frames per second and still be totally playable if you did not see the frames per second in the top left corner of the emulator.. Every game in this list below is totally playable on this emulator running 1.5 core version I did not change anything and I booted the cue file. Here is the list of what has passed play ability test so far (dec 26 2017) Batman Forever the arcade game - 20 FPS Bomberman world - 30fps Bust-a-move 99 -17fps Bubble Bobble featuring rainbow Islands -45fps Bust A Move 4 -17fps Capcom vs SNK Millennium fight - 22fps Castlevania Symphony of the Night -25fps Diablo -17fps Doom - 13-15 fps Evil Dead Hail to the King -30+ fps Grand Theft Auto 1 -20+ fps Guilty Gear - 12fps King of Fighters 99 - 20fps Megaman X3 -25 fps Megaman X4 - 25 fps Megaman X5 - 25fps Megaman X6 - 25 fps Mega Man 8 - 25 fps Parappa the rapper - 12 fps Marvel superheroes - 18 fps Marvel vs. Capcom - 18 fps R types - 25 fps Strider - 20fps Strider 2 - 20fps Street Fighter Alpha 2 - 20 fps Street Fighter Alpha 3 - 15 fps Street Fighter collection -17 fps Street Fighter collection 2 - 17fps Super puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo - 25fps Wild Arms - 15 fps X-Men vs. Street Fighter - 20 fps Tekken - 12 fps I physically played and tested over 60 to 70 PS1 games. These are the games that made the cut. Please keep in mind even though the frames per second maybe low for some reason these games can pull it off. It seems to me like it can easily run side-scrolling type games. Or 2D Fighters very well. Eventually I will be adding more to this list as time goes by. If anyone wants to add any other games feel free below. PS I know that there are lists that's a what this emulator can emulate. But I have actually tested these myself. Thanks for reading and have a good day
