  1. Anyone know what resistor R6 is? I tried googling it. The one in my psu is cooked a little and the color bands aren't readable, it came that way. It has not been a problem but I think I'll get a replacement while I'm buying other things just cuz.
  2. I recently bought a few 1.0 consoles with "no power" issues, 2 of them have this same 47K resistor marked R902 (measured from a good psu) and surrounding area burned, both resistors are basically ash. I have a couple of questions, is this a common issue with this model psu, is replacing these burnt components likely to save these things, or is the issue probably caused by something else that sent too much power through the resistor, such as the large transistor in front of it? Here's a pic of what it's supposed to look like:
  3. Hello, i have this power Board 1.1 Version 220 volt with burned parts.. I like to know the value of resistor, can someone help me? Thanks
  4. So I'm repairing my motherboard after the dvd drive kept ejecting. Unfortunately my mb is a victim of that super capacitor. I removed and cleaned the board however the nearest transistor and resistor to the right corroded off. I managed to solder the transistor back on but I can't find the resistor. Anyone know what the value of that resistor? I tested the traces, so all of that looks good, so I'm guessing that resistor is the trouble maker.
  5. I have a BGA rework station and decided to upgrade the CPU in my v1.0 xbox because why not. The operation went fine, except when removing the awful plastic clips for the heatsink attachments, my screwdriver slipped and knocked off 2 components. I did not notice this until after the operation. One component knocked off was the RP5N1 100 Ohm terminator block for the RAM. This was easy to replace. The other component knocked off was the R5N1 resistor. None of the resistors around it report any consistent value, so I can't just guess at it. A 128MB RAM upgrade guide here https://quade.co/2018/xbox-128mb-ram-upgrade/ actually has a picture of this resistor with the value printed on it, but the image is too blurry to read. On v1.0 this resistor is just blue with no value, but it looks like some version between 1.1 and 1.5 actually has the value printed on the resistor. If I could get that value, then I can fix the FRAG. I would hate to buy a 1.0 board just to get this resistor value. I would really appreciate it if someone could get me images of the resistor value. It cannot be measured with a multimeter as one end has a really big cap on it, but maybe getting that reading would still be useful to me to narrow guessing at values (resistance will be something higher than what is read). Also lesson learned: When removing the heatsink bracket screw clips, just chop them off and replace them with screws/nuts. It's way safer for your board.
  6. A guy on another forum has just fried the R7D10 position contact points on a v1.4 Xbox and in the process appears to have melted or knocked off the adjacent surface mounted resistor next to the R7D9 ID so presumably that resistor. It is one of those mini black SMD ones with no marking and he needs to know the value to be able to replace it . Who knows, he might get it fixed but at the moment the Xbox is apparently fragging. I've used a multi-meter on my v1.2/v1.3 which is probably the same type/value but I'm not confident of my reading so if anyone here knows the value or can check and confirm it themselves, preferably on a v1.4, it would help. EDIT The original poster actually found confirmation elsewhere: it is as I had tested 10k Ohms (which pleases me ) to be precise:- It's a 10k 0402 SMD resistor
