About Me

  1. I have a Jet Set Radio Future save that I have played around 25 hours in that I would like to be able to play on my console, but I haven't been able to figure out how to resign the save. The save has an "error reading JSRF save data" and doesn't let me use my save. The save originated in Cxbx-R and it won't allow me to move the save to or from the console without this error occurring. Not sure how to proceed from here, and would be grateful if anyone wanted to help me out. I have attached the save if that can help, thanks for your time. 5345000a.zip
  2. Selling this beauty. Only 4 consoles were ever made. I’m looking for offers really. Anything over 1000£ + would be considered. Will ship anywhere in the world, But you pay for that cost. Is usualy 69 £ tracked. Have a great one!
  3. Hi! Couple of days ago I decided to try repair my xbox which has been sitting on my shelf for at least 15 years after dying suddenly. I opened up a thread on reddit here, and chatted with KaosEngineeer over there. To sum up the current situation: -The xbox is unresponsive when pressing eject and power button, no sign of life. Back in the days it was repaired under warranty (substitution of the PSU) and then repaired and modded with Aladdin and Evo X. -Opening it up I noticed that the clock capacitor had leaked, but seemingly not caused any corrosion. I removed the cap and cleaned up with isopropyl alcohol. - I tried checking the PSU and it seems to work, giving out 3.3 Volts on the standby contact (brown in my case). I tried short circuiting the standby with the PowON (white) contact by using a piece of wire metal, and I verified that the lines (orange, red and yellow) are more or less in line with the pinout (instead of being 5 Volts there are 5.27 Volts and instead of 12 Volts there are 10.73 Volts). - I checked both visually and with a multimeter that the 4 traces under the motherboard are uninterrupted. In particular, looking at this image: There is continuity between the cyan and violet pins on the PIC chip and the cyan and violet contact in the bottom of the image. The 4 resistances in the same image seem to work fine, with a value of about 10 kOhm each. -I checked that the front panel eject and power button work by verifying that, when pressed, they connect to ground the red and blue traces next to the 10kOhm signal resistances. -Now, the stangest thing: if I give power, the brown contact is at 3.3 volts (verified while the psu is attached to the motherboard by inserting the multimeter probe in the top space between the plastic plug and the brown wire), but for some reason the PIC pins that should have the same voltage when the console is plugged (before and after pressing the eject and power button) remain at 0 Volt no matter if I press the front panel buttons or not and no matter if I choose a different point for ground ( I tried using all the black cables and the RF cage). So, basically I'm stuck. Any ideas? Thank you for help

  6. It has literally been over 10 years since I've played it. One of the bootup screens says "Xecutor2" at the bottom, so that tells me that much at least. My main question is the three (3) dip switches on the front of the console. Someone else installed it for me, and I forget what each of them does. I think that the left-most one controls whether or not the modchip is active; you wanted to toggle that one off if you ever went onto XBox Live, I think. Can anyone help?
  7. I have an aladdin xt4064 chip that has lcd support, from like the early-mid 2000s. It works and all, I'm trying to sell it so send me an offer for it.
  8. Hello everyone I wanted to show off my mini classic that I made. It is made from a 3d Printed case that I modeled. https://imgur.com/undefinedhttps://imgur.com/undefinedhttps://imgur.com/7GPs7sP I gave it some primer https://imgur.com/cTubiRv and some paint https://imgur.com/SDab5EQ https://imgur.com/Mek1KPw https://imgur.com/6kHrZN9 https://imgur.com/67ZuHwx Then I went the extra step and made a box for it and had it printed https://imgur.com/AK4X2Ro https://imgur.com/AURtsGc https://imgur.com/J3FOBmy Finally if you are interested, I made a video of me putting it together
  9. ^ Only sellers from within the EU please.
  10. Hi! I just picked up a 1.0 that a guy was selling as not tested. It had never been opened and you could see the dust from the side of the case, so I decided to open it up to clean it and check the clock capacitor before actually testing it. The thing is, when I took out the fan the sticker on the bottom was this one in photo. And the tiny cpu cooler fan seems to be 12v too. I've ever heard that og fans were 6v, but as the fan I removed from this 1.0 was spinning like it was new, I tested it on my TSOP flashed 1.2 and it worked just like the previous one. So are the og fans actually 12v while the system gives 6v, or is the 1.0 being different? If it was so, a new 70mm 12v fan shouldn't need to be set to much more percentage than the original.
  11. Located in Sweden but I ship worldwide. Have four original XBOX base units that I need sell to clear some room here http://www.amibay.com/images/smilies/smile.gif I have replaced the harddrives in all of them with bigger harddrives and flashed the BIOS with a custom BIOS. All of the units work flawlessly EXCEPT the DVD drives in them which is a common problem with the original XBOX, sometimes they have problem ready discs or close or eject the tray. This can be an easy fix, there are tons of helpful tips on the internet to solve this by for example cleaning and lubricating them, replacing the drive belt or calibrating the laser. The units and prices are as follows: XBOX unit #1 Version 1.6 SmartXX V3 chip with custom BIOS (can hold several BIOS'es) 500GB IDE Harddrive €60 XBOX unit #2 Version 1.0 TSOP'ed with custom BIOS 80GB IDE Harddrive €35 XBOX unit #3 Version 1.1 TSOP'ed with custom BIOS 500GB IDE Harddrive €45 XBOX unit #4 Version 1.6 Softmodded 1TB SATA HDD €50 All the units are in good condition for it's age, I can provide you with pictures and screenshots if there's a need. Buyers pays for postage and shipping.

  16. Hello. I am doing an expression of interest post here, have any of you done a polymod recap to a Original Xbox motherboard? I have a 1.0 and a 1.1 im looking to recap before I can put them up for sale (I do this with all my Xbox consoles once I receive them to ensure that they go for another 20+ years or however long) and noticed that the 1.0 and 1.1 units are 1500uf 6.3v for each four capacitors near the CPU and GPU, I have seen on AliExpress that they do indeed have 1500uf 6.3v polymer capacitors available. Would it be worthwhile to recap them with solid capacitors? the capacitors I am looking at are low ESR which is recommended for Xbox recapping, and if anyone here has done so please share your information and pictures of the motherboard after polymodding if possible
  17. Hello, I have an original Xbox v1.6 with a xenium modchip in it. It's been sitting for years and I finally got it kinda working. When I installed the modchip, I unplugged the fan from the motherboard and ran power wires from the molex connector to get some more power out of it. It works fine, just loud and pretty sure it's not needed. I took it off the molex setup and plugged it back into the stock location on the motherboard but the fan never spins. I also noticed in my xecutor dashboard, the temps never change. Any ideas what could be causing the issue? Thanks in advance!
  18. I swapped in a 1TB HDD replacing my original 10GB drive. Is there any reason to hold on to the old hard drive at this point or can I safely recycle it?
  19. I have a v1.0 original modded Xbox, it had an old Aladdin mod chip, I wanted to upgrade the hard drive and after doing some research I found out I can brick it by flashing a new bios. The bios is unknown but after running bios checker it reads I have a lpc sst49lf020, it boots up xecuter2 into an evolution x dashboard. If I use the hexen 2019 disc, what steps can I take after I install a larger hdd? I don’t need to clone it, I backed up everything using ftp, and I want a fresh install. Here are some images that may help... Thanks for your time.
  20. I got an xbox cheap as the drive didn't open - easy fix I thought and was delighted to find it was indeed an easy fix and that the drive worked. I turned it off and came back 6 hours later to find it was quite warm on the side where the power supply is located inside the xbox. Is this normal or something to worry about? Thanks in advance.
  21. Have a couple modded xboxes from back in the day that ive been messin around with. my skills are rusty as hell. Im trying to start fresh with a splinter cell exploit but cant seem to find the game save anywhere. Can i copy the game save from an already modded box?
  22. Hi there ! Years ago, I had a Xbox with a modchip without soldering (I can't remember the name ^^) and a bigger hard drive with Evox I think. But I sold this beauty ... After more than 10 years, I recently bought an old original Xbox , I remove the clock capacitor, clean the motherboard and so on. I've read a lot about softmod, tsop flashing and mochips but finally I 've bought an Open Xenium modchip and installed it yesterday (and it's working !). The next steps 'll be to change the hard drive for a ssd (silence !) with a startech adapter. BUT before that I need to understand exactly what I've to do to use the Open Xenium modchip. I would say it's not perfectly clear for me I'm going to create a post with my numerous questions
  23. Anyone know where to find them? I found some Xbox one joysticks but idk if they work for original xbox.
