So here's my situation, My 1.6 burned out about two months ago now. Trusty system, but now it's doing the on/off three times frag thing. For 10 bucks I bought a 1.0 Xbox. It however, didn't have a hard drive in it. Error 7. The man gave me back my money and let me keep the Xbox because he didn't know it was lacking a hard drive. So, I have these two boxes. My 1.6 has an 80 gig drive. I received in the mail an Aladdin XT Plus 2. What can I use this chip for to get either of these boxes running? Can I simply plug the Aladdin chip onto the 1.0 board? Modding the 1.6 is a bit ridiculous, and I am not sure if the chip will repair the system anyway. I can't find any info on using the Aladdin chip on a 1.0 board, but with that unit NOT having a hard drive I cannot tsop flash it, so if I can boot it via the Aladdin chip and the then set it up I am PERFECTLY FINE with that as a solution. Looking for as little hogwash as possible. Thanks for your thoughts.

i am very strongly considering modding a v1.0 xbox. i want to install every official xbox game that was ever made onto it along with all the patches and dlc. i already have an alladin chip. can y'all give me a quick list of each item that i will need to do this mod and how big of an hdd will i need? thank u.

i've never seen a youtube vid where the smaller capacitors were replaced, only the bigger ones. do the small ones not go bad?

i tried soldering in a pin header for an alladin modchip. the modchip didn't work so i need a schematic to see which part of the board each pin is suppose to connect to so that i can check my work with an ohm meter. anyone have that schematic? it's a version 1.0.

so i have XBMC4gamers setup to run as an app. the trainers i downloaded from within the dash work fine but how do i add new trainers for games i have i downloaded soem new trainers but idk how to add them so that XBMC4gamers will see them

I want to use my xbox as test patter "generator" to calibrate my TV specifically with my xbox via component cable. But not sure what calibration pattern and standard should i use. DVD and HDTV uses different standards, etc.

Recently had a hard drive fail on me but i did null the hdd key before it failed. Just purchased a new sata drive but im having 0 luck figuring out how to obtain a nulled eeprom.bin or make one myself. If anyone could help would be greatly appreciated

So this is my struggle, I bought a japanese Sega Saturn model 2 more than a year ago. The power switch on it came completely destroyed. No refunds for me, because it wasn't the seller fault, etc. After 1 year of procrastinating, I tried to fix my Saturn. And believe it or not, I found the part I was looking for to fix the power switch!! I could not believe it, because I live in Chile, near the south pole, and an old tech geezer had the part I was looking for! I was so happy! I fixed it, so I thought, but I came down with the reality that now the PSU was completely dead. Aesthetically the PSU is perfect!! Nothing blown, nothing cracked, and nothing corroded. I already tried to fix it with the help of a great guy on Reddit, but to no avail. So here it is my idea, could anyone in this wonderful community spare with me a Saturn PSU? A PAL 220v PSU hopefully? I have in my possesion three 220v OG Xbox PSU's and one 110V American OG Xbox PSU. I could give any of those PSU's in return for a PAL Sega Saturn PSU, my PSU's are perfect and all working great! My best regards to everyone! You have always been great to me. Hector Hidalgo.

In search of a full 2mb flash memory dump from an xenium.

I recently installed Rocky5’s xbmc emustation & so far it’s been great. So far I have Genesis, NES, SNES & PlayStation roms installed and I have absolutely no issues with those systems. However my main issues that I cant seem to understand is getting other emulators to work. I’m a huge fan of fighting games like MVC2 and ultimately this project isn’t complete until I can get those games on there. I recently found out that there is a downloads section that allows me to download emulators straight to the xbox and that was such a relief because I’ve struggled to add emulators manually. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong when I add emulators manually but they just don’t seem to work. I can definitely live with this if I can get my main fighting games in there. my friend gave me a few cps roms but I’m not sure how to get them to work in the emustation. I know I sound super noob so bare with me! Lol

Hello, found my original xbox 1.4 from back in highschool brought me back to the days when we had parties opening them up and modding them. Did some upgrades then I bought 3 more. Well I need the hexen disk and the site says I need to make 5 posts before I can download it to use on the xboxs unjust took apart and refurb.

I have (purchased from a friend) a x3ce modded Xbox that boots into XBMC and it has a 2tb HDD installed. He has about 330 Xbox games in folders on the G partition, and it's running out of room. I have another 300+ games that I would like to install to F and just wanted to see what needed to be done to get all the games from F and G to show when I click the "Games" tab. Is the a CFG file I need to edit in XMBC or am I stuck with 2 separate sources (Games and Games 2)? I hope I explained that well enough. Thanks in adavance.

how can i factory rest my xbox original

Hi guys, Does anyone has any idea if a skin exist with cover support? I mean, but on a size specifically for CRT TV's? 4:3? The problem I am having is that most dashboards with cover support are made specifically for widescreen HD TV's, I am fine with that, but I use my Xbox exclusively on my Sony Wega CRT. It looks amazing because it has component inputs (I am about to build my component cable though). To me, this consoles are made to play on 4:3 on a good CRT, so ideally I would want a skin or a dashboard where I could see what I am doing! I don't think I am the only one! On a CRT Xbox4gamers looks tiny and is terrible to use. UnleashX is the perfect size for CRT's but I haven't found a skin that supports covers! Anyone knows of such a thing? I have a 2 modded xbox which have been sitting in a box for 10+ years - one is chipped (bought it this way and don't know the chip), and the other softmodded (I did it with the Bert & Ernie exploit 10+ years ago). I recently took them out and having a great time playing some old games on them. So at a local yard sale I picked up a xbox for $5. I want to softmod it, but forgot all the details/instructions. I just ftp''ed into my softmodded and see I renamed the c:/fonts to c:/f0nts and in the original c:/fonts have the 2 bert and ernie files. From memory I think the xbe files on the root are the modded dashboard. So my question is, if I copy Bert and Ernie to the c:/fonts and copy all the files from my root to the new xbox, is that all I need? Also, before the mod do I need to update the dash/kernel - does it matter? I don't plan to use any xbox live, so can I leave the kernel as-is? Also, the way I softmodded my previous unit was by hotswapping using my chipped xbox. If I recall, I need to boot both, then unplug the ide cables from each and quickly plug the unmodded hdd to the chipped xbox - I then have access to the hdd files to add the files. Any advice would be appreciated. Or if you have a link to an instruction page that would be great too (I searched google but nothing exists anymore). Thanks

I have 2 XBOXes v1.2 and v1.6 with Rocky5 softmod v1.1.6. I was messing around with the NKPatcher and nulled the HDD drive key on one of them before backing up the EEPROM and now it boots up to error 05. It seems I need to format it using the hotswap method, xboxhdm v1.9 and a backup of the Dashboard from the C partition, which I don't have. Can I use the files from the other XBOX? EDIT: I'm probably looking at it fro the wrong angle... when using the hotswap, won't I get access to the backed up EEPROM in the E partition? Can it be used to restore the HDD?Or is it better to just format it and start from scratch? This subject is still pretty new to me.

So that is my question, If I have MS dash 5960 from Rocky5 DVD (installed as an application) Do I still need to delete dashupdate.xbe? (from games) I have Rocky5 latest softmod and no hardmod on a 1.6. I have also heard that some games don't run if you delete dashupdate.xbe or downloader.xbe, is this true? So yes, like the title says, I need to buy/get/being given the Wireless Logitech controller for Xbox. I am dealing with many issues in my Xbox because of the analogue buttons and it is driving me crazy, I have heard the wireless controller by Logitech for the Xbox doesn NOT have analogue (press sensitive) buttons! And that is all I need. Of course I would buy one in good working condition (makes no sense buying a piece of plastic that doesn't work). I simply CANNOT buy one in my country, there is nothing of the sort here, not even chinese knock offs. And I cannot seem to find sellers on Ebay who send abroad (I live in Chile). So if anyone can sell and is willing to send, I will be the most happy gamer ever If someone want to give me one for free, well even better No, is ok, I just want to pay a fair price, not too high hopefully. Hello guys, I am talking to you from the end of the world, I live in the south of Chile, very near the antartic (yes it's cold). So... here is the thing, I recently got an original Xbox, controllers came dead, DVD drive didn't work, well nothing worked really hahahahha Nevermind, I fixed all of those issues, it didn't even came with screws! I bought new screws, a new IDE cable, I also fix the DVD. SO everything is working now! And I am waiting for my original Xbox controller on the mail. But there is one thing I cannot fix, the Power supply. In here we use 220v, but the Xbox I bought is an American Xbox 1.6 version (110v). I did not buy a PAL Xbox because we are NTSC 60hz! (ironic). Thing is, I search the entire Ebay, Amazon, everything, and I could NOT find anywhere to buy a European PSU for the Xbox. So... I come to you guys, you are my last hope in this world, if anyone has or knows someone who has a PAL PSU for the original XBOX, I would thank you forever. These are the models that exist for the 1.6 PAL XBOX: Delta DPSN-96DP-1 or Samsung (Tuscany) PSCD101301B Those are the only two models in existence, if someone could sell one to me, or even better, giveaway, I would be more than happy. Guys, I need some feedback from some veterans out there. I have my first original Xbox, and I modded it, etc. But I also have a few original games that came with my Xbox etc. one of them is the first Splinter Cell. The problem is simple, for doing anything in the game I have to press "SUPER" hard on the buttons! (for the action to be performed) Now I know what you'll tell me, buy a new Xbox controller. I just got an original mint condition controller from Japan. All other games I've played don't have this problem, on the opposite I hardly touch the button and the action is performed! (in every other game) The controller is in mint condition and it's original Xbox brand! Is this how the game was coded? I have the platinum hits version of Splinter Cell by the way.
