Hello ladies, gents, chaps and chapesses! It gives me great pleasure to announce that my first ever batch of self assembled modchips is ready to be unleashed amongst the community. For those that don't know, the Jafar modchip is an open source project that you can build yourself should you have the resources and the inclination to do so. Required resources can be found in the github repository, GitHub - Kekule-OXC/Jafar: Aladdin chip reimagination. Massive thanks to @Kekule for his work on this. Thanks must also go to EqUiNoX of Team Resurgent, for the updated CPLD code which allows correct booting of the TSOP. This updated firmware is available on the Team Resurgent github: GitHub - Team-Resurgent/Aladdin-Lattice. Finally, thanks also go to Lonnie @LonWay Tech. I reached out to him after seeing he had some Jafars for sale on his website and he was only too happy to help point me in the direction of how to program the CPLD using an FT232RL, which I already had a few of lying around doing nothing. He also gave me the idea of using solder paste and a hot plate for the smd components, leaving only the pin header connector requiring manual soldering. My version is the 1mb variant, flashed with the latest version of PrometheOS (1.4). The single 256Kb flash bank is pre-flashed with my own very slight customization of the latest version of Cerbios (2.4.2). This has the drive mode set to "HDD & No DVD Legacy", the Cerbios logo set to an amber colour to match the amber LED I chose to install on the board, and the dash paths set to dashloader (C:\evoxdash.xbe) followed by XBMC4Gamers (E:\XBMC4Gamers\default.xbe) as I figured these two are the most popular and I wanted it to have the greatest chance of just working right off the bat. Of course, it's very easy to flash your own version of Cerbios or any other 256Kb BIOS you'd prefer to use. It's also set to UDMA 2 (default) again just for better chance of it working out of the box. *** Note: Soldering is required *** You will need to solder in the pin header (included) to your LPC port location on your xbox motherboard if it doesn't have one there already. If you have a 1.6 version xbox you will need to rebuild the LPC port first - there are plenty of guides around on how to do this. You will also need to either ground the D0 point to enable the chip permanently, or solder D0 to the D0 pad on the Jafar, to enable booting from the TSOP if you wish to use that feature. Power on with the eject button to load PrometheOS, power button to load Cerbios. If your xbox is connected to your router / local network you can use the web interface of PrometheOS to easily flash your required BIOS file to the 256kb flash bank, if the version of Cerbios I have pre-flashed for you isn't quite to your liking / requirements. Price: 1 or 2 - £10 each plus postage. 3 or 4 - £9 each plus postage 5 or more - £8 each plus postage. Based in UK but happy to ship overseas if you're happy to cover the postage. 48 available for now, happy to produce more if there is a demand for it. Reminder: Jafar is free and open source. Please respect the licenses available in their respective folders. Hardware is shared under the CERN OHL version 1.2. Firmware is shared under GPLv3. Payment via Paypal or bank transfer. PM for questions / enquiries. Thanks!

Very new to Xbox modding here, hopefully this isn't too general of a question for this section but I wasn't sure where else to ask it. Are there huge differences between mod chips to have so many different types or do they all essentially do the same thing just with some bells and whistles to set them apart? I just bought an xbox with a chip on it already(I believe it is an xecuter2) but plan on buying more to mod multiple xbox's. I guess I just wanted to know if I can do the same general thing with all chips or if certain chips can only do certain things.

I just got a 1.0 Xbox with an Xcecuter 2.6 chip installed. It's running Evox M8+ and I would like to switch to the bigger X2 5035.67. what is the best way to do this? Also, is there a way to determine what is on the other bank of the chip? I get an error code when I try to boot with the other bank. Can anyone give me any advice?

Hello, i have a little collection of 5 diferent modchips. X-Bit Duo X 3 Alladin Advance SmartXX v2 X-Changer v2 They are all used and working fine, i have found them in consoles that i TSOP-ed. You can make me an offer on one or multiple items but you must know that the buyer will pay the shipment (i live in Eastern Europe). Also, i really dont want to sell the SmartXX modchip because i am expecting an 20x4 LCD to arrive and put them both in my primary console but if the price is ok, i cant live without it. Also, i can accept offers like 1.4Ghz xbox board in exchange, or interesting things related with original Xbox.

HI Peeps, Got hold of another batch of Xboxs from my friend who runs an auction house. 11 for £100, not bad i dont think. Anyway a couple of these have X-bit modchips in, one was missing the little control board but the other one has it. Neither of the consoles boot to a dash, one has error 5 and the other has no power at all. I have removed the chips to try them in another confirmed working xbox i have here as if they work then i will re use them. I have never had any experience with these chips before and was wondering if anyone here has? More specificly does any one know where i can get the v1.0 of the Xbit flashing software, i managed to find the v1.5 version last night but it does not want to work to flash either of the chips, i can connect but upon clicking on format or anything nothing happens. Ive tried doing this on various versions of windows from 7 back to win 2k, all had the same results. I have spent all evening last night reading up on these chips as much as possible and there is quite a bit of conflicting info out there so any help/advice with this would be very much appreciated I am pretty sure the chips i have are not the v1.5 of the chip as there are no 1.5 markings as apparently there are supposed to be., so i want to try the v1.0 software to see if it makes any difference. It could just be that both chips are dead and im wasting my time, if thats the case then so be it but i cant be sure until ive tried everything. Thanks in advance

Hello all. Just recently got into making my own Aladdin xblast chips. I've noticed a few people around here have been looking for them. Currently have 4 Aladdin chips in stock. The CPLD will be flashed with xblast by this weekend. Please bare with me, if I am out of stock, as my current job only pay's minimum wage, and it is quite difficult for me to purchase materials to make the Xblast chips. I am working to make some more soon. In the mean time, if you need one I'm selling.
