Hello all I was just wondering what modchip I would need to get for my xbox console. I've heard of really only the aladdin xt plus 2 and was wondering where I can get my hands on them because amazon doesn't sell them & ebay doesn't sell them. I even looked on aliexpress and alibaba and no one has these things in stock. Background on why I'm needing some is simply I was doing a mod for a friends xbox. The process was going great, I had the softmod installed and ready for a tsop mod which went fine, I flashed my windbond bios over to the 1.4 xbox with a windbond chip inside, went to go do my hard drive upgrade and thats where everything went wrong. How did it go wrong??? Well I plugged in my new hard drive, startech ide to sata adapter, and 80 wire ide cable and turned on the xbox booted up but error coded out because there was nothing on the hard drive and I needed to load the hexen 2019 disc, loaded the disc and shut down and restarted the console. Blob animation ran its course and the xbox logo appeared on screen with linux underneath and evox badge in the top left corner and hung up there. I said ok it might take it a minute so I went outside and took out my trash and recycling, let the dog out, made and ate my breakfast and went to check on it after about 30 minutes or so have passed, I actually forgot about it, and it was still on that screen. I thought that unleashed x would have seen the new drive by now but nothing. So I went back and reflashed my bios for f & g, xbox turned off after it was flashed. Pushed the power button and nothing but power cycling and red and yellow led lights. Was told that the flash failed for some reason and now my only hope was a modchip. I seem to never be able to do these mods in one shot without problems its always something. But any and all help would greatly be appreciated, Thanks everyone!!

Looking for a cheap disc drive for my console. Not really picky about the type of drive since I upload most games over FTP anyway, but my current drive has a dead laser and it might be handy to have one that works.

New here. I had recently acquired what seems a soft modded xbox and just wanting to restore the original OS on it.

I have a Halo Edition 1.4 softmodded XBox that I'm trying to upgrade with a SATA drive. I bought a couple of the Kingwin adapters and I've tried about 6 different SATA drives with no luck. I've tried using both Hexen 2017 and Slayer to no avail. I've tried different 40 pin and 80 pi cables, pretty much changed out everything. Of the six drives I tested, I got one to format all the way through using Hexen but it will not boot the Xbox, just gives the standard error. I did lock the drive and backup the eeprom. I worked all day on this Sunday and frankly I'm about to throw in the towel. It's so painful trying to get new tech to work with old tech. I'm just looking for a little guidance, perhaps something simple I missed. Also, is the a tut for removing the battery / clock capacitor? BTW, as a last resort I do have a Startech adapter on order.

For the past few weeks i've been looking into modding an xbox, and i've bought quite a good amount of stuff to prepare. I understand that there are like 15 ways to do somethings and it all depends on specifics ecct.. but I just have a few questions. For starters, I understand you have to soft mod your xbox before tsop mod, and you can change out your hdd either after the tsop mod or after softmodding, which way should I do? Also, I would like some emuls so which bios should i be looking into? All I want to do is to be able to boot a few games without putting them in the disk drive, and play some older games, on top of having a nice dash board and boot up screen. Among the things I've purchased, I also got a ghost case, and I would like to paint my jewel. anybody have advice on that? also, any good looking led mod kits? I've seen a couple, but if anyone has a link to a good treasure trove of either led strips or something to put under my jewel, I would appreciate it. Also, why do some people while installing the ghost case (clear case) not change out the disk reader cover to the transparent one? Haven't opened my xbox yet, since its the one from my childhood, I'm trying to save it, but if I can't find a cheap one to mod out, Ill be using what i suspect to be a 1.3.

I have 500GB added to my Xbox and looking for the best version of Coin ops with out draining out all the space for Xbox games as well theres just so many versions any advice and does it have to auto launch

Hello hi I'm looking to buy a 4 by 20 executor 3 LCD screen just the screen and bezel only. I have the chip already installed in my main go to Xbox and is running excellent. I'm just looking for a working screen that is known working .. with the connection that will connect directly into the chip without soldering. I am well aware that the screens are a little difficult to get your hards on... but I did find some on eBay they just did not have the specific end that plugs into the mod chip. If all else fails I will have to buy one of these and solder them directly to the chip. But by doing that I am seriously lowering the value of the chip in the future. I would like to purchase or trade for this X3 lcd screen with bezel and connection to the original X3 chip.. If you have an extra screen and you would like it to go to a good home I'm your guy. I live in Canada I am PayPal ready and I also have a lot of cool stuff for trade Xbox related.. Please contact me through this site. and we can discuss where we are going from here..
