Hi Guys So I'm having a bit of an issue FTPing Enter the Matrix to my Xbox. So I have a redump XISO of the game which is more than 7GB. I then extracted the contents and it went down to 4.77GB. I then tried to FTP it over to my console but a few .txt files have a long name that is preventing the game from FTPing over fully. Do you guys perhaps have some advice as to how I can get the game over? I thought of recreating the XISO but that is over the standard DVD size, so I can't burn it. I currently have 2 xbox's, one softmodded with Rocky5 and the other is a 1.6 with an aladin mod chip running Evo X. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I'm having a weird issue with a 1.2 I'm attempting to fix, for some reason, all of the controller ports are working except for port 2. The clock cap was removed and there looked to be some leakage however there doesn't appear to be any trace rot near the area where the cap was on either side of the board and all other caps appear to be in good condition. Also, I tried swapping out the ports with one from a console that works and port 2 still does not work with any controller plugged in. Looking around, this doesn't appear to be a common issue and I'm not sure what else I could be missing. Pictures of the board are attached.

Good day I realise that this subject has been covered before and I am not new to the scene but I haven't messed around with my xbox for years until last night when I finally cloned and upgraded my hard drive to a 320gb drive. Used hexen 2018 disc but now harddrive has lba48 issue therefore I need to update my executer v2 bios. Currently running this at ver 4983.67 the lab on xbox partitioned is ver 0. My xbox is a 2002 model v1.1 pal and I cannot remember where to obtain the latest bios and how to perform the flash. I installed the executer 2 back in the day and 18 years later I've forgotten how to do all this stuff. Age has got the better of me but I'm sure I will understand it if some kind folks could help me out. Yep I do want to put games on the hard drive so my boy can play them more easily. Greetings! I am very new to the OG XBOX (both the console and the forums). I have a 1.4v xbox that I have dusted off recently to install Open Xenium chip. The console was a bit dirty, so I gave it a good cleaning, removed the clock capacitor (which had just started to leak), replaced the fan with a Nexus, and installed the new open Xenium chip. The system seems to be running great and immediately boots into the Xenium OS screen when powered on. The problem: no controller inputs are recognized in any of the controller ports (I've tried with four different working controllers). So basically I boot to Xenium OS, but cannot select any of the menu options. (I should also mention that before the Xenium install, everything had been working fine). Now, when this first happened, naturally my thought was that I had not properly reconnected the ports back to the motherboard, but upon checking they seemed to be well connected (I cleaned the ports and reconnected for good measure). I have looked at the traces on the motherboard and they seem fine. I imagine the chip install went okay since I can boot into Xenium OS(?) Port have been cleaned thoroughly. The only thing I have not tried is swapping the 1&2 ports with the 3&4 ports (in case there is a problem with port #1, and Xenium OS will only recognize input from Port #1???) Does anyone have any idea what the problem may be? It seems odd that none of the 4 controller ports are working, and all I am left with is an idle Xenium OS screen on my system. Could it be a single bad solder joint on the Xenium chip?Could it be that Port #1 is busted? Thanks for the help!

Hi, it's me again with another weird problem So, my friend gave me another Xbox with the following issue. When I plug in the power cable into the Xbox, the fan speed jump for about 4x highest than the normal (why it is turn on???). When I power up the Xbox, that is goes to normal speed. If I turn it off, than the speed jump to high speed again... There is no any corrosion and the capacitors in good condition... The Xbox is in original state. There is no modchip or softmod or TSOP flash. Thanks for your help!

Hi Mates, I met the following issue, I try to explain everything... I'm totally lost in space, so I hope, you have some idea what happening... So, first, what you have to know: - I've got an xbox classic v1.6 without video and sound output. - When opened it, I found a MuppetX modchip in it. My friend inform me, he try to flash this modchip, but 1MB always gave an error message "mismatch bios size", so he flashed it with 256KB bios. That was the mistake of him, so the modchip never works again... (The LPC Chip is 49LF020A, like in Aladdin) - I flashed it with USB Programmer with many types of bios.bin, tried 256, 512, 1024 evom8+ for v1.6, I tried everything to use it again... But the only working solution was to flash it with 4*256kb = 1MB XBlast OS bios. But when I use XBlast NET bios flasher (cause I can't use any other way, just USB programmer), the flashed bios never works. - I checked all capacitors and all of them is in good conditon... I checked traces and all of them in good condition. - When I push (more than 5 sec) the power button, the xbox started and loaded the XBlast OS. Without modchip (power up with eject or just push power button) there is no video or sound output. If I change the Bank (I do not know is it bank0 or bank1), the Xbox turn off and turn on again... My questions: - Is there anyone who has an original dump of a MuppetX bios? - Which is the Bank0 and Bank1 on MuppetX? - Which BIOS size the correct for that? (As I said, I try 1MB first and all other sizes, but won't work...) - Why Xbox doesn't give video and sound output without modchip? Is it maybe an EEPROM error?... Thank you in advance! Hi Guys, I have a problem with XBMC4Gamers and HDD SCPT Pal Game, pratically The initial screen of game is in itlaian Language, this is correct...after the introduction video whe I've to choise if I want play single player or multiplayer, the selection menù is in english...and after the game start in english...Ofcourse I want the game in italian...what happend? I recently picked up a 1.6 Crystal at a thrift store for cheap. It even had a replacement 160gb installed with the newest build of EvoX Dashboard defaulting, a couple of games, emulators and movies. Pretty good score! But I'm not the biggest fan of EvoX. I can work with it (and XBMC is also installed) but I'd rather do UnleashX. However, when I FTP up a copy and try to run the dash xbe, I just get kicked back to EvoX. Trying to boot the MS Dash gives me the same result. Interestingly, XBMC dash does start properly. Any great ideas? Could it have anything to do with a bios version? I know almost nothing about the various types. I'm also assuming TSOP modded. I've already tried booting up a Hexen disk and poking around, but of course, the DVD drive is pretty crappy and its not reading the disk...You get what you pay for! Thanks

Dear All, I currently own 2 xbox, one 1.4 and one 1.2 motherboard revision, both work fine, but on 1.2 I see vertical lines, when running on Pal Interlaced modes (480i) since the graphics chip is different, Focus vs Conexant, has anyone experience the same? Both mobos have latest Ind_Bios 5004.67, brand new caps and thermals replaced

So my previous setup was using a cheapo sata/ide converter with a 80 wire cable, which actually worked pretty well, I haven't had any issues with it, but I decided to try the startech adapter too just to see if there was in fact a difference in loading times instead and I encounter a weird issue. I'm running IND 5003 bios and when I boot the xbox the flubber animation is very choppy and the audio doesn't sync up. It does load to the dashboard but the boot-up is pretty glitchy. I tried another ide cable and messed around with the pin settings with no avail. I could just disable the flubber animation but I'd like to try and get it running smoothly. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hey guys.... I just found my original Crystal modded xbox from years ago tucked away in a corner in the loft. Only thing is it has faulty Ethernet port. Is it easy to swap them out for a replacement? If so does anyone have a tut?? Otherwise i want to update the softmod that is in it..... I bought it already modded and it was supposed to be chipped but well i have opened it and there is deffo no modchip inside. Its also a 1.6 so no TSOP either so by process of elimination it has to be softmodded. My question is..... Am i safe to run Rocky5's softmod updater from the extras disc to update it? If so can i...(using a FATX formatted usb stick) copy the extracted extras disc to the E drive and run it from there as i cannot seem to get the DVD drive to read anything.... Ive just upgraded a hard drive to a 250gb from a 8gb in a chipped xbox which has xecuter2 chip installed. but after usung xbpartitioner 1.3 off the hexen disc. I set f::\ partion to use remaning free space..All seems well., even in the hexen main menu it shows that f:\ partition is 240gb. But when i restart xbox in the unleashX dash it only shows 120gb. so show i load xbpartitioner off the hard drive and it show me a error message "LBA48 Info not found! custom partitions will not work with this bios" etc. So now i try creating 2 partions f:\ for 120gb and g:\ 120gb. but again only f:\ shows up with 120gb. do i need to some how update xecuter2 chip or would i be better removing the chip and tsopping the console? thanks

So ive been trying to clone my original xbox hard drive over to a wd1600aajs hard drive and i cannot get it to work. hey everyone, i replaced the cap in my 1.6 xbox and also finished the modchip (atleast i hope i did) and before i hooked up the dvd drive and hdd i tried to test it but all it does is come on and then go off and it does it twice and then on the last time it comes on and flashes red and green over and over, the mod chip has a orange light on and i am also attaching some pictures of my wire job let me know if i did something incorrectly EDIT: i looked for a different diagram and found i had done two wires wrong and now it is booting perfectly!

Buddy sent me two OG consoles I had modded for him way back in the day. Both are TSOP flashed. Both had leaky battery clock caps, so they were removed and the boards were cleaned up. Both are running Avalaunch. XBOX #1 is a 1.1 with 1MB TSOP so I went ahead and flashed X2 5035 to it(had 4983,06 prior). No issues with this box, made copy of 160GB hdd, swapped IDE HDD for SATA SSD with adapter, formatted disks, copied files back over, updated apps etc. It boots without any issues and behaves normally. XBOX #2 is a 1.4. It has 4983.06 flashed and has a 250GB IDE drive installed. When I got the box it was fragging so I booted EVOX CD and it appeared that the dashboard xbe was gone. Copied it over again via FTP and it booted fine. Everything seemed to be working(games/apps). Tried to make a backup via Avalaunch FTP and after a few files ava would freeze up. Loaded evox and was able to copy files without any issues. Installed 250GB SSD in this xbox, boot my installer disk and format the partitions. Seems to go ok but the partitions still read 0bytes. Boot again off evox installer disk, it shows all partitions as 0bytes but after about 10-20 seconds they start to populate with size. I am able to FTP files to them once they show up. Reboot, still fragging. Ok, so after all of that BS, I bought another box off eBay. It comes softmodded with 160GB drive. Manage to get it TSOP flashed as well and remove the battery capacitor. Try to install several other hard drives, format, and install, see the same exact issue with the pausing and fragging on boot. Install original drive on either of these two and they work fine. I assume this is hardware, more than likely from the leaking capacitors. I plan on pulling the boards and touching up the solder on all of the components that had electrolyte on them as well as doing another inspection, but not sure if anyone has seen this and found a fix.

I wanted to play Simpsons hit and run on my Hard modded 2tb xbox. The game freezes on the first loading screen. I have looked online and see this is common for the pc and Ps2 version. Is there a solution? Thanks

Ok, I just got my hard modded 2TB xbox finished. I started to play 007 Nightfire. I beat the first level, I go to save to the xbox HDD, and the xbox takes me to this screen. I have saved in other games and never had this problem. It does save to my xbox memory unit fine. Any help?

I wasn't sure whether to post this here or in repair, but since it happened during a TSOP mod I though I'd try here first. Picked up a 1.4 version at a Salvation Army today, green model worked great but filthy inside. Cleaned it up, removed clock capacitor and did the two TSOP points. Reassembled and before I even load into Hexen my video signal has lines going across the screen. After messing around I find that the problem is only with component output (hd output) and standard def av works fine. Thing is, component worked fine before I disassembled so I'm convinced the problem must have been caused by something I did - but all I did was pull the clock cap and do the 2 tsop points... Tried another component cable.. same result. Tried another tv, got a glitched looking display or 'mode not supported'. I'm convinced it's now outputting some garbled attempt at an hd signal that neither of my tvs can process correctly. Have 2 other xboxes and both display hd perfect with the same cables and tvs. I guess I can just sell it with some standard cables but losing the hd kinda kills the awesomeness so I'd really like to fix this if possible. This is like the second weird obscure xbox mystery for me in like a week, sheesh:)

I've got a v1.4 XBOX with an issue with the DVD drive not opening. I have already taken it apart and replaced the belt in the Phillips dvd drive. Then decided to swap drives with another working XBOX that also has a Phillips drive. After the swap, the issue remains with the original XBOX I was working on. In other words, the working drive from another XBOX now won't open. Meanwhile, the drive that I swapped into the working XBOX now opens. This leads me to believe that both DVD drives are good and maybe something is up with the motherboard in the original v1.4 I am working on. Do you guys have any ideas what could be causing this? Is my v1.4 motherboard bad? It seems to open if there is no disc in the tray. Once I put a disc in the tray it will read it and start the game. When I try to eject the game the screen goes black and the disc will not eject. It behaves the same way with both dvd drives I have tried it with and I have verified that both dvd drives are working.

When I initially had the 4th chip installed, the system would still boot but it would not give me the full 128mb only 64. I figured it was re-flow. So far I have gone through many rounds of remove, reflow and wick and such and it has brought me to the current point I am at now with 3/4 chips installed. I thought I could use Xblast (through .xbe launcher) to try and see if the chips are at least working but whenever I try the RAM test it always freezes up the system. I was using the newest version of Xblast OS. I was wondering if anyone had any solutions on this situation? Ive spent way too many hours trying to figure this out so far. All RAM chips are of same model number as well. Thanks

hi i just bought a xbox that was soft modded with soft mod delux v3 and im trying to open up in original xbox dash board but theirs nothing their givers me a code 21 can any one help me i dont know where to start with this

Hello, Just wondering if anybody else has encountered something similar. My hard drive is 250 gigabytes, xbox sees it as 23o gig but my issue is that my f drive where Ninja Premium (all packs 70ish gigs) and games (18 are 1-2 gigs, some are only 500megs) only occupy 12oish gigs, I see this by trying to delete it and then it shows me the size before confirming. I had f occupy all the leftover space with the partition tool when I copied my original drive but it just doesn't seem correct. I'd hate to redo everything, since ftp'ing takes forever. Are there any "hidden" files I should be looking for? If I do "start over" should I just do the regular formatting ie: f,g drives etc....? Thanks !!!!!!! EDIT: Realized I posted in Hardware Mods. So, I FTPed Just Cause to my Xbox a while back, and I get audio during the main menu upon bootup, and audio during the first cutscene, but as soon as gameplay starts, the audio stops working. It's not my A/V cables because I know they're all the way in, otherwise the sound wouldn't play, nor is it the settings in-game. Any ideas on what could be causing this sound glitch? I should add, it's only Just Cause that has this issue, not my other games.

Curious question in a furious rush i harvested 2 ram chips off a working board, now id like to re-install these and get it working again because as far as i can remember this unit worked just fine prior. the replacement ram came from a friend with a broken console. one chip had 2 twisted pins which laid down pretty nice with gentle persuasion. now that they are installed (2 on the bottom) the unit will not power on? power button does nothing, any ideas how ram affects the power process? could this be a separate issue? very interested to hear thoughts/theories. the extent of my troubleshooting was testing a working consoles psu on this board which yielded identical results (power button does nothing, i can 'hear' the psu working there is a subtle discharge sound). i have 1 more chip to try in place of the twisted one. there are no bridges on the install and contact is made on each pad as far as continuity is concerned.
