Hello, found my original xbox 1.4 from back in highschool brought me back to the days when we had parties opening them up and modding them. Did some upgrades then I bought 3 more. Well I need the hexen disk and the site says I need to make 5 posts before I can download it to use on the xboxs unjust took apart and refurb.

Hi guys, i just bought a softmoded xbox with a 250gb HDD in it, works well but it's a PAL Xbox, wich mean that i don't have HD options, and it's just unwatchable on my 4k Sony TV, who by the way doesn't have component ports, only RCA and HDMI, i'm stuck with the unfindable and expensive HD LINK by Pound, but lucky me, i found a similar cable converter on Amazon for 25€, even with bad reviews i have no choices but to order it and test it. So i solder the points for the TSOP, and also removed the clock capacitor, burned a Hexen DVD (the 2018 one) , launched it, choose the suitable flashing option for my Winbound 1.4 motherboard, and tried to flash the bios, BUT : i have a non official controller! And as i'm sure you know, gentoox is not capable of recognizing no names controller, but only the official one, and of course : i don't have one (but order one on Rakuten), i tried multiple time with every bios that was on the DVD (only the windbounds one of course), but gentoox just don't like cheap controllers no matter how fast i press on the D-Pad Now that you have the context, here's my question : Is there any way to flash the custom bios without the gentoox tool ? I know that we can do it with Unleashx (or Evox i don't remember), but i can't find the bios anywhere (just don't know where to look too besides googling it), and even if i find one, i'm not sure where to put it exactly or if it's safe to do anything without Hexen or Xblast. Hello, ive just done HDD upgrade using this tutorial and xbox only see 120gb out of 500gb from my new hdd, what is wrong? funny enough HeXEn shows me the proper status of 450gb+ free space on F drive, the same with Xpartitioner (but only when im using this app from HeXEn disc). When im entering Xpartitioner on dashboard then i got Warning ... "!!!! WARNING !!!!! LB448 info not found! Custom Partitions will not work with this BIOS! Update your BIOS to one which supports at least LBA48 version 2. Press Y to continue or any other button to abort." There you have system info ...

Hey people. I am new to xbox modding. I am trying to upgrade my softmod . . . But the hexen disc my friend has lent me isn't working. Its a 1.4 and i have tsopped it but to no prevail my drive isnt reading the disc

I have a version 1.5 that wont read burned hexen disk after jumper points have been soldered. do I need to softmod first?

Trying to mod an xbox, I believe it is version 1,4 0r 1.5 . has winbond tsop. already soldered jumper points, it will not read a burnt copy of hexen. do I need to softmod it first?

So I have been helping a friend fix his xbox. We got the xbox flashed and modchip working good thanks to someone making a custom flashbios to support that chip. Whats so weird is Hexen will not load no matter what. From the HDD or the Disk drive. The xbox reads burnt disks of the same disk type/brand. Samsung drive. Right now, if you hit the eject button, the xbox boots modchip bios (evo m8 67). The xbox is a 1.1. On the non-modchip mode which is active when you power on the xbox normally, flashbios reads something weird "MODCHIP but retail bios 4817". Also doesnt seem to be able to be flashed. Never know though. The modchip is a AppleX-III so it only supports 1 256k bios. So I think when its off, it reads bios from TSOP but is in passive mode or something? Anyway its annoying. As I said burnt games work, regular games work(on both bios), and hexen reads in a different xbox. The xbox is PAL converted to NTSC but so is the xbox we tested the disk on. I've been asking around at different sites to try and see what FPS's were able to be ported to the xbox. I've had a lot of information but without any results. So hdd is upgraded to 500gb and i tried. To enable yhe hd with hexen disk once with out clearing c drive tsop flash and now ive reformated disk and cleaned and its not working right any one have advice still geting red as grayish green after all steps
