Hi there. I have few Xbox'es in my possession: - Crystal, - Translucent Green - Halo Limited - Black 1.1 @64mb RAM I'm looking for some info about modding because old tabs that I've had are now offline.

After a break I dusted off the old Xbox, did a little digging found coin-ops and a few other things that are new since my time. And all the sudden I'm back, I was around in the Xbox-scene days from very early on. I800phyco there. Then when I come back and decide I need to upgrade my Ram and get a better processor, the old standby is shuttered long ago, so here I am

hey everyone, my name is sash, back into the console and modding scene after many years, i have many modded consoles that have been sitting in storage, but no doubt the og xbox is my favorite, i have been doing a lot of catch up the past few months with what is new in the home brew side of things, and wow, i have missed years or progression, decided to open up one of 3 og xbox consoles today that i own, and no idea if it was tampered with or repaired in the past but the warranty stickers had been removed the other 2 i modded back in my younger days.. so this mystery xbox i believe is a version 1.0, with a mod chip installed that surprised me, the solder job looks like factory, its flawless and very neat, anyway when i boot up the unit xecuter 2 shows on the screen. did some research but not much info out there, it did play a back up game but thats as far as i got, seems to be very old, will be doing some more investigating into this in future.

I just have fun doing standard mods and crazy mods.

Hi gang, Thank you for this forum, I have not touched the xbox at all, just got myself a unit at a good will store. I am dying to findout how much can be done with it, what the upgrades are. Fun times ahead. M.

Hello all. I am the proud owner of a v1 OG Xbox. I picked it up at a thrift store a couple weeks ago for $23 CDN taxes in. Didn't come with any accessories or cables but those were easy to find. I had never owned an Xbox previously so everything was all brand new to me. I managed to soft mod it the next day, but wanted more so upgraded to 40gb IDE that I had laying around but wanted more, TSOP'd it and upgraded the HD to a 200gb IDE. Fixed up a crystal S controller as the cord had a break it in. Added a white LED in it just because i thought it looked cooler. Glad to have found this great site. I'll lurk around and chime in from time to time.

Hi, Everyone This is Peter (from Singapore). I own a Xbox v1..1 for more than 16 years. It was dumpped for many years due to work and other PC games :-p As my kid is growing up 10 year old, who spend more time with iPad which is worse than watching TV and TV games. for her eyes, I decided to play Xbox with her. She showed great interest at Xbox, esp the Game title - HALO. Hence, I decided to explore more on Original Xbox again, which reminds me of the fun and interest in those old days. Peter

Just decided i should get on the forums since i am gathering the required materials to tsop a 1.0 og xbox. i have posted on the facebook page a couple of times. i am an old school gamer that got started with system modding back in about 04 unfortunately not on anything xbox related. Been seeing a lot of xbox related mod stuff lately and i am going to be getting into it as a hobby or for personal interests.

Just wanted to say hello and compliment on the awesome site! Modded my 1st Xbox back in 2006 and for the 1st time since then, I'm learning everything all over again! So many options - I love it!

Hello everybody I am new here and new with Xbox at all i just get xbox crystall ( belive its 1.5 or 1.6 have no idea how to check it without opening) and i thought that i wana softmoded it (for a start) my colegue said i gona find help here so i try can annybody give me some clues how to check is my xbox 1.5 or 1.6 or 1.6b how to start ( i found that i need a special cable for usb stick and splinter cell game for special save) is that the only one way to soft mod? it so many diferent videos (i am not a lazy i star reading about it seen some video but hope maybe sb here give me a helpfull hand) Thanks.

I just wanted to say I. I have been getting back into retro gaming along with my two boys. I just Modded an XBOX 1.6 with Aladdin XT 2. I am now trying to figure out what the next best step would be. Use the Hexen CD to set up? I will be adding a 1 or 2 TB hard drive in the future but right now it has the 80GB that came with it.

Hello Everbody! New to the site. . A little background on me. I've modded several original xboxes waaaaay back in the day.......8+ years ago, 360 flashing etc.., ps2s with swap trick to install freemcboot then replicate the card, Wiis, WiUs, Dreamcasts (they just play backups LOL). Mainly all of them with softmods no soldering because I suck at it !! Finding all the tutorials and info very helpful!! Thanks!!!

Hey everyone, just recently got back into console modding after not touching a console in 10 years. Back then I primarily messed with 360's for my friends and anyone willing to pay me. Now I am more interested in building for myself to have "The Ultimate System". Excited about learning how the scene has developed over the years and finding this community. I assume like most here, I am a gamer. I can't seem to stop playing EverQuest 2 (13 years) and I play various shooters and single player "play through" games. In time I am sure I will have loads of questions and will look for feedback on ideas. Thus far I have 3 OG Xboxs and have TSOP'd one of them but havent really done much else. Glad to be here. I hotswap/xboxhdm/ude'd about 20 xboxes almost a decade ago. ive never installed any modchips or tsop'ed anything, but i just picked up another xbox and gonna bust my tsop cherry on it. i just softmodded it the only way i could, it was a nightmare because of different things, cd drive not working, trying to boot xboxhdm from usb, it didnt copy all the files, then error 21, tried to fix that, ended up with error 16, ended up tearing apart an old external dvd burner and bam, got it working with old faithful hdm 1.9, and ndure 3.1. I gotta say, I would've had a heavy ass paperweight if not for this site. there's a lot of knowlege here...I guess Im trying to figure out where to go from here...was thinking backup everything, get eeprom, update the softmod with rockys awesome software, then try my hand at this tsop thing. ok, long ass rant/introduction over! thanks for the mountain of info!

Hello Folks, i just found this forum on google and I'm very happy, that the Xbox classic scene is still active! I recently dug out my xboxes and gathered a few new ones for modding purposes. I currently have 5 Xboxes, more to come All of them are modded, each in an individual style. Unfortunatly only one is case modded, that's something I plan for the other boxes too.
