A few days a go i soft modded my nephews xbox, witch was fun! And this ended up in me buying 3 used xboxes from a lokal store/café. The xboxes i got are working to some degree. So now i will see if i can restore 1 or 2 of these machines... I've use to have a xbox years ago but sold that one off for whatever reason at the time.

Hello! I got my first Xbox back in 2003 and it's still up and working today (now unsoftmodded because I want to keep it as classical as possible ). Boy is it a joy to come back to it from time to time. I then got two crystal boxes that are both modded as we speak and it is amazing to look at all the capabilities this mod has. Hi guys! About 10 years ago I've been gifted an used OG Xbox with winch I used play with my current GF. Unfortunately the CD reader died on me and at the time I was too young to know about replacing components or even mod it so I gave it away... :c For nostalgia, and to surprise my GF, I recently got hold of a 'New' second-hand OG Xbox rev 1.1 with and Aladdin Advance v64 already installed. Today a sata adapter should be delivered and I'm planning to upgrade the drive and update the software a bit. Let me know if you have any suggestions. I'm not sure if I should try to update the firmware on the Aladdin as this is stated on the upgrade capability "v64: possible problems" or if I should flash the TSOP because the jumpers to flash it are not bridged. Hello everyone, I am a recent owner of a newly hardmodded XBOX, and I am very happy with it, although discovering the modding basics are a bit hard and fuzzy right now ! I plan to change the harddrive from 130Gb to a 2To one in the following months and then change my dash to whatever is best suited for handling the full romset of the console. Also have to understand why a few games are not working. I also own a second one, I should remove the clock capacitor on it and maybe try a softmod ? For now I just play with it, had forgotten how good the games collection is, and how the rumble adds a lot to gameplay, those old games are great ! Well, I just discovered this forum, which seems neat ! and plan to use it to learn more about what I plan to do with my XBOX. Cheers

I've learnt it all, I've forgotten it all and I am back for some more - having come across a surplus of xbox consoles, the thirst has returned! Can't wait to get stuck into it all again, this time armed with a proper workbench, 3d printers, and a much steadier hand!!! let's see what we can do!

Hi guys, thanks for having me. Just got my N64Freak 1.5 Ghz Box to hook up with my arcade cab and I am doing my first steps with my upgraded box right now. I have a chip modded box running for years on my jamma cab. Love that black brick! It's doing a great a job. Wanted some boost for the perfect emulation. Great to find the modding community is still alive for this great system! Modded my launch xbox after the original warranty expired. Recently my friends pulled their systems out of their basements and want me to upgrade their modded consoles. This site looks amazing and has the support needed to get back into these machines. Hello there! My name is Ray, also known as “OXM Demo Archive”. For the past few years I’ve been archiving demos that came with the Official Xbox Magazine on my Youtube channel. This is something I’ve been doing in my spare time, and ever since I posted my first video my YouTube channel has been slowly growing, with a few new subscribers every month or so. Recently, a user on YouTube by the name “Sick Vegan” suggested I join this forum and said there was interests in what I’ve shown off in my videos. I’m always looking for other people with a similar interests for not just Xbox Demos, but the original Xbox itself, and this seems like the perfect place to find it!

Seeing my sons enjoying my old softmodded xbox I bought a bunch of xboxes to (case)mod for my sons and create their own personalised consoles. I am currently going through all of my hacked xboxes and updating them, installing quieter fans, updating HDDs to 2TB, and was generally feeling nostalgic for the old xbox-scene days. Just wanted to stop by and say hello. I have been an XBOX guy a long time. I have TSOP'd about 10. I was a member of another site that was recently shut down. So I have moved here. Does anybody know about the Hexen2019 disk? Is it any good? Anyway just stopping by to give you all a shout out!

Hello, I've been in the scene loosely for years now. One of our local game shops shut down recently, and left his "bad" Xbox collection with a friend of mine. So, as a part of a deal I modded an Xbox and left one unmolested. As for my end, I received 4 of them, and they seem to work fine. I figured I would reach back out into the community to see if anything has changed. The modded Xbox has a 300gb drive in it to start with, and will stay that way until he gets tired of the smaller drive. I definitely regret not purchasing an Xecuter chip when the price was a bit more rational, but softmodding seems to work perfectly fine for my uses. I did have to replace a few capacitors on his board, because the tops were bulging and leaking. But all is well. I'll soon put a hard drive in one of the ones he gave me, and probably sell the rest. Now I have to wait for the 50gb queue to ftp over onto the Xbox so I can take it back to him, but it's worth it to relive the magic. What should I do next? Put a larger SATA drive in it? Maybe take the leap and put an SSD in its place? I think I want to get a ghostcase and clean it up a bit. I think I'm ready to put together a console that will last me a while.
