  1. Have a tsopped OG Xbox with a barracuda 2Tb hdd, it works fine no problems but I decided that making a clone of the hdd would be a good idea in case the one installed failed. I tried using regular pc hdd cloning software but they don't recognize the drives, I tried using chimp but ran into a couple of problems with my xbox to hdmi adapter but eventually I got it working. Problem now is that it would take chimp to clone my hdd 3 days (doing bit by bit since they are both the same type of hdd) and I'm not sure if its a good idea to keep it on for that long. The hdd is almost full so it will be cloning almost the entire 2Tb, I have it in an enclosure in my entertainment center but its open in front and I've installed a rear fan in the cabinet to help with trapped hot air coming from the xbox. What do you guys think, leave it on for the 3 days or maybe there's a faster way that I don't know about, not a lot of info out there for this other than maybe something to do with fatxplorer but there isn't any cloning options I see in the program, I don't want to stop chimp unless I know there's a better way.
  2. I recently acquired and old Xbox 1.1 with a a hard drive and disk drive both dead. It came with Aladdin XT2, so i switched the old hard drive to a new 80GB one and managed to install a new dashboard using an old computer disk drive i had laying around. Everything seemed to work fine and the console booted with Unleash X, but almost all games i tried installing on it's hard drive won't work. Dashboard tries to launch them, but the console simply resets to it's main dashboard. Not all games failed thought, 4x4 Evolution 2 and AMF Extreme Bowling started and worked fine without problems, but this is more of an exception than rule. It's weird, cause all emulators worked, and i was able to play Quake 1, 2 and 3 homebrew ports with no problems at all. Can someone please help me? Thank you!
  3. i was ftp'ing games onto my new hdd when filezila suddenly error'd. when i went to check my xbox the dashboard said i have 0mb left(i had over 2,000gb on this partition) on e drive and games management said i only have 3 games installed. i deleted the games and the dashboard was saying i only have 3,000+mb's free. long story short, i kept messing around with trying to reformat the hdd and put about 1024gb on 2 partitions but the dash board would only show that i had a little over 3,000mb on each partition even the partition wizard was saying i had 1024gb on each partition. what the heck is wrong with this thing? i'm currently erasing the hdd in my pc and writing all 0's to it. then i intend to try it again but i have no idea if this gonna fix it. btw, i have an aladdin chip(5004 f and g bios), 80 wire ide cable, and 3tb barrcuda seagate drive.
  4. Just wondering... as title says, what is the procedure you use and/or prefer to transfer your ISO games to HDD? I see "Qwix" does this, but I also read something about "C-Xbox". Both seem to do basically the same things more or less. What's your experience about this matter? Do you know any other software for this purpose? My OSs are mostly linux based, I have no windows machines, so if something for linux exists I'm happy to hear. However, I can use windows virtual machines. Thank you, have a good day. Sceriffo
