Hey guys, I've had issues with my xbox for quite some time now. It is a 1.1, 128mb, TSOP flashed with Ind-Bios. Many games wouldn't boot, no matter what, tried different sources, settings whatsoever. Some games gave me a direct black screen when trying to run, some would boot but then lock up on the loading screen. So today I tried running Hexen2018 from the download section here from my hdd, but as i wasn't sure which bios to flash i chickened out and exited without doing anything. To my suprise my xbox no longer booted into XBMC4Gamers, but into unleashX, the first two times without showing the IND-BIOS boot up. As obviously something had changed I tried to run some of the games that hung on a black screen before, and suddenly they worked. The other games that hung on loading screen still didn't work, but I was glad Halo finally booted on me, as I wanted to play it for ages. But after a couple of reboots, the IND-BIOS bootup reappeared and my xbox started showing the same behavior as before. Halo gave me a black screen again, as five minutes before it was working. Anyone knows what might be the problem here? Do I need to reflash my BIOS maybe or use some other?

Hello everyone! Hoping to get a bit of help with two small issues. Using UnleashX with the green block theme, but having the same issues without regard to the skin selected. First is that if I use the two triggers and the far left / far right buttons (back and something else) to return from a game to the main menu, the XBOX crashes with error 07. Power off and power on cycle sets thing right, but strange that it crashes just because I try to go back to the menu from inside a game. Second is that loaded games don't automatically show up in the "XBOX Games" menu. For example, I've burned a disc over to the HDD and also copied one through FTP. In both instances, I had to go into the game through File Explorer, start the .xbe file, and then go back to the menu to see the game in the games list. Any ideas? Thanks everyone! Blaine

Hey guys! New here and wasn’t too sure where to put this. I recently purchased a TSOP Xbox from eBay, the issue I have is that I’m playing it on my flat screen, but it keeps stretching games into a 16:9 aspect ratio and it is KILLING me. i have done everything from setting the setting in the original menu to normal and 480p and nothing higher, to changing the Setting in the multiple software on the xbox. Any one got any suggestions to help stopping this stretching? It’s really annoying. i did manage to get it into 4:3 but this was forcing it through the framemeister and having that set to 4:3. Any help will be appreciated, cheers guys! Paul

How do you get a Laserdisc game to work if the ROM is over 4Gb? Particularly wanting to get M.A.C.H.3 working. Thanks

Hi Team, I currently have a softmodded xbox, with XBOX4Gamers dash, with about 80 games on it. The games were direct rips from my libary. Now i also have a bunch of Xbox games in .iso format as well. Can i just FTP this over to my xbox and GTG, or is there more steps to get it working right? "" So after reading some other posts, seems to get .iso to work is a hassle." Is there a program i can use to just rip the .iso to its default folders like you see when you rip a game on the xbox its self?

Hi, everibody, Gotta a chipmodded/softmodded Xbox original. Try everything but: Max Payne 2 freezes in the same point of the game right in the begginin' when that little guy in a uniform, guides Max throug a trap and then the game freezes soon as all the hell's gonna breaks loose. Love this game, but it's freezin' at this point and I try EVERY versions (ntsc or pal from a to z), delete cache, fix date, turn igr on and off... an it freezes at the SAME POINT... nothing works. Ok. I can manage, I'll play on PC, graphics a lot better and got a 360 controller. But then, the same thing happens to X-Men Legends, just in one of the first danger room. Freezes AT THE SAME FREAKIN' POINT! Look all over forums and people with the same problem but find no one... got nothing. Thanks.

Heyyy Soo I finally got some xboxes succesfully tsoped etc. So Im finally actually playing games!!! BUT, I see realy differences in the quality of the games..... Like there are some stripes trough the screen of the game ( sorry for bad explanation). Just see it for yourself: (first picture is GOOD Need for speed underground 1, Second picture is BAD need for speed underground 2) Does any1 know what causes this ugly stripes??? some games have it , some emulators have it and some don't.

Hello, I recently decided to mess with my recently purchase Xbox 360 development kit and i am having some trouble. I would like to get it set up to Xbox neighborhood and play debug games on it but Xbox neighborhood cant seem to find my system. If possible, could some one walk me through how to set up Xbox neighborhood, how to use it, and finally how to load debug games to it. just to clarify, my system is not a JTAG or RGH, it is an official dev kit so i dont know if the process between the two is much different. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Aidan

My PS1 set fails to transfer all the games. I think i read somewhere that there is a cap of how many files can fit in a folder. Can i make a second folder for roms like in MAME?

I have (purchased from a friend) a x3ce modded Xbox that boots into XBMC and it has a 2tb HDD installed. He has about 330 Xbox games in folders on the G partition, and it's running out of room. I have another 300+ games that I would like to install to F and just wanted to see what needed to be done to get all the games from F and G to show when I click the "Games" tab. Is the a CFG file I need to edit in XMBC or am I stuck with 2 separate sources (Games and Games 2)? I hope I explained that well enough. Thanks in adavance.

Hi i'd like to know if there's a way to play virtual cop or house of the dead 1 with my saturn emulator i can't find any way to convert my iso files and even download a.mdf and .mds fils that doesnt work when i make a FTP transfert. I've got a softmodded xbox with unleash

I have two consoles 1.0 and 1.4 witch tsop. The same bios and systems, the disks are also the same. On the console 1.0 pal games dark screen and then the dashboard returns. Ntsc ok. Any suggestions? Eprom error?

Hey All, I just recently fired up my original Xbox to play some Mercenaries or Ninja Gaiden Black but it appears that the drive will not read the game disks. These disks are near perfect condition and the drive itself will read audio cds. I am at a loss on how to troubleshoot this issue. The Xbox I have is a the Special Edition Halo Green Xbox. I am at this point considering modding this system but I would rather do that to an ebay system instead. I do have the original Splinter Cell with some saved games on it, so if I could get the Xbox to launch that game I could in theory softmod it. But launching the game is a problem. A while ago I had a version 1.0 box fail to boot intermittently and every time I moved the hard disk it would come good. The drive is a WD 500 gig Pata/Ide drive. I closed the power connectors in the molex plug and swapped the 40 way cable still the same. As I had nothing to lose I removed the PCB thinking it had dry solder joints on the power and 40 way connectors but I noticed the contacts for the heads and spindle motor are tarnished. A quick clean of the PCB and spring contacts with iso-propyol alcohol and reassemble and it has not missed a beat since (3 weeks and still going and before it was every 2nd day) I now have a Seagate 1tb from a desk computer with the same symptoms and after removing the PCB it looks the same. This drive is 2 years old and has had a max of 1.8tb data transferred to and from it so bugger all. and 1/3 for that was rescuing the data from it Something to keep in mind for intermittent drive problems. I am getting all xbox games, except all the sports games like fifa and so on. But my "collecting" stops at 99,9%, it has been for a long time. Wondering of just ending it, but do i miss something good then? I havent played the games that i missing, so can someone enlighten me. Missing games (not complete that is): - Silent Scope - Terminator 3 - Samurai Warriors - Wrestlemania 21 - Tak 2 - Staff of Dreams - The Suffering, Ties that Bind Worth waiting for any of these?

hey guy im in need of a little help the issue is whenever i TSOP an xbox that when i go to install games and apps, some work some dont, the ones that dont work load for a very long time and boot back to the dashboard but when i put the same apps/games on a softmodded console it works just fine EXTRA DETAILS: 1.the consoles im TSOPing are the 1.0 model 2.i used hexen to tsop 3.maybe the hexen tsop mod is missing files to boot some of the apps/games thanks in advance

I just got a 360 and am hoping to get my original Xbox games working. Thus far, only Halo will play. I tried Deathrow, Quantum Redshift, and Black Stone, but they won't run. I did think they were on the compatible list. This is a used console, so I don't know if maybe I am missing an update of some kind.

I am attempting to play my Greg Hastings backup from my storage and am getting a black screen. I understand there is a fix for this, but am unable to locate it. Is there anyone who can point me in the right direction? TIA!

What's the best homebrew games you can get for the system?

Okay, I don't have a ton of time but I just found a way to play games such as JSRF, Fable, and the others on a 1.6 console without disc swapping, requiring the original dash, anything. This, however requires a softmodded console with UnleashX (May work on other dashboards, I have not tested) The steps are as follows: Turn on your console and allow it to get to the dashboard. Select system, then settings. Go all the way to the bottom where Video Display is and select it. Turn off 480p and if not turned on, turn on 720p, and 1080i. Then, have fun and launch your game, I believe this actually forces it into 480i which is not accessible from unleashx. I found this out by playing with the settings, you sadly can't play in 480p, but hey, that's the price to pay, I'm just trying to give an option to you folks with UnleashX.

Hey everyone, I wanted to start a discussion/thread about games that are in perfect working condition but for some reason the DVD Drive is too old or stubborn to read the game. I of course have 2 consoles both with Thompson drives and I found (so far) that neither will read the following games: 1. Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball 2. Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring. Both discs are in pristine condition but UnleashX and DVD2XBOX give a "Tray Empty" message. I did a Google search for these and it seems others have the same problems with these 2 games being read on a Thompson Drive. I wanted to know what other games and drives folks are having issues with. Hope to hear from you all. Thanks, Larry

I've recently transplanted my failing and old IDE hard drive to a 2tb expansion with new ribbon cable. Also updated Unleash X to latest build. After I finished this I started to play games like Fight Night Round 3 where you cycle through different character bulids and such.. when customizing it looks like my drive is freezing up. I've also noticed that when trying to play emulation front ends like coinops 8 the loading of some of the larger games like Killer Instinct freeze the system as well. Could the corruption of the old drive follow to the new drive? When I did the system transfer the only items I transferred were the eeprom partitions and saves. I was thinking maybe nulling the drive and then reformatting the other partitions might work? But wanted to see if there are any other suggestions. I've also attempted to launch these in xbmc4gamers but this also causes freezing. Not sure if that should be a separate topic or not.
