About Me

  1. Sorry not sure if this is in the wrong area, Wasnt sure where to post but I figured it would be better to start a new thread for a specific problem than to continue derailing another.... Sooo I have done a fresh install to a 256gb SD card that all went well using slayer 2.7 disc. As per Daves advice I have also reallocated all the G drives memory to the F drive using xbpartioner (hopfully done correctly ) Now my problems start with FTP'ing over the games to the drive, I setup filezilla as per this video: But with the exception because I can not change my users on the XBOX I changed the max transfers on file zilla to 1. I transfered Halo over no problem and that works fine BUT I can not transfer any other game folder, It just instant fails every file with the following error: Response: 553 Requested action not taken. Any ideas chaps? Cheers.

    Ftp Problems

I've been using filezilla to transfer games to my xbox, everything was well for the first ~100 games or so (using HDD ready list from Archive.org). I hit a point where every game i tried to move had many failed transfers, tried it in WinSCP and still had the failures. Then i went to the xbox to look at the file explorer and there were literally games disappearing before my eyes. As i tried to re-download some they have completely empty directories once transferred. I'm not sure what to do as this was all working before and i've done nothing different. Any ideas? I should add that i'm also using a 2tb hard drive and am nowhere near filling up the F drive.
  3. i've had issue with filezilla so what's a better one?
  4. I'm trying to forward and FTP session to my xbox using a raspberrry pi running psx-pi-smbshare. I've followed all the instructions given on the github readme. Has anyone had any success with this?
  5. Hello, I'm looking for some advice around improving my FTP speeds. I'm using WinSCP and both my Xbox and PC are connected to my router via Ethernet cables. I'm using XBMC4Gamers as my main dash but am loading into UnleashedX for FTP since I've read it should be faster. From what I've seen speeds approaching 10MB/s (even slightly above) should be common... Still, when transferring to the console I'm currently lucky to get speeds of over 1MB/s - they're usually much lower and often only around 250KB/s. For some reason transferring from the Xbox to my PC gives much faster speeds at around 5MB/s. I've tried playing around with the max connections in UnleashedX, I had it set to 10 and have since set it to 2 and haven't seen any real improvement.
  6. i was ftp'ing games onto my new hdd when filezila suddenly error'd. when i went to check my xbox the dashboard said i have 0mb left(i had over 2,000gb on this partition) on e drive and games management said i only have 3 games installed. i deleted the games and the dashboard was saying i only have 3,000+mb's free. long story short, i kept messing around with trying to reformat the hdd and put about 1024gb on 2 partitions but the dash board would only show that i had a little over 3,000mb on each partition even the partition wizard was saying i had 1024gb on each partition. what the heck is wrong with this thing? i'm currently erasing the hdd in my pc and writing all 0's to it. then i intend to try it again but i have no idea if this gonna fix it. btw, i have an aladdin chip(5004 f and g bios), 80 wire ide cable, and 3tb barrcuda seagate drive.
  7. So I've figured out how to get games downloaded on a 360 to work on a real Xbox. You might be interested in this if you get the Games With Gold titles, since they've had some pretty good ones in the past like Mercenaries and some of the Star Wars games, and Destroy All Humans is available right now. Do note that since we're dealing with Xbox 360 Marketplace here, the only real way to get these onto your console is through buying and downloading them, so Piracy really isn't a thing here. To begin, you will need two Xbox 360 tools: GOD2ISO and velocity-master. You'll also need a USB drive big enough to hold your game. You'll also have to enable the "show hidden files" setting in Windows Explorer. Start by copying the game to your USB drive from the Dashboard. Plug the drive into your PC. Go to Content > 0000000000000000 and you will see several folders. I've attached a picture of Halo 1's folder layout. Open that extensionless file in GOD2ISO and save a place to save your ISO file. Then use Velocity to extract your ISO to a new folder. From there, you should be able to FTP the folder over to your Xbox and play the game.
  8. I copied some emulators through ftp to the G partition of my HDD, I was using WinSCP for this. When I finished, I closed the connection and then reset my Xbox with Lt+Rt+Back+Black; I got the Bios screen, the UnleashX boot screen (I'm using a custom skin, so the skin version of the boot screen appeared) and then...nothing, just a black screen. First I thought the video was bad, but that was not the case, then I tried to boot on safe mode but nothing happened. Some people on a subreddit tell me to use Hexen to install another dashboard, I don't know if this is going to work tho. Please, if you know what's wrong with my Xbox let me know, I'm scared
  9. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyfbxuMgI4M&t=480sHello everyone! First post, and happy to be here. I want to share something that will add value to the community. I've put together a video tutorial on how you can install games directly to the XBOX HDD through the internet and FTP. All you'll need is your softmodded XBOX, an Ethernet cable, and the HDD Ready games you want on the HDD. You'll be up and running with it in no time. Full how-to video is below. Please let me know if this video helps you so that I can make XBOX content that makes your gaming experience more enjoyable. Thanks, Blaine https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyfbxuMgI4M&t=480s
  10. Hello, I recently got two broken Xboxes and was able to build a working console from both. The Xbox has a softmod and I'm thinking about flashing the bios. How do I do that best? It is a XBOX version 1.4 (Winbond) and I would like to transfer everything via FTP, because I don't have a DVD burner. I have read something about HeXEn and Tsop but I am now rather confused. Can I also bottle the Bios over FTP, if so how? Do I have to remove the softmod and is it still possible via FTP after flashing? Thanks in advance.

  14. Dear All, I want to use xbmc4gamers as my main dashboard, problem is that I can't ftp with it, I'm using direct connection with a crossover cable, using same settings as UX, but on Filezilla it always says "ER connection refused" something, enable static IP on xbmc, put default IP adress and geatway, user: xbox pass:xbox, everything the same as UX but always ending with an error, what am I doing wrong? Thanks

    Ftp Issues

Hello, I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue? I have an Xbox console v1.6 with an xecuter3 CE chip in it. I have formatted the drive using the x3 bios utility, and transfered over UnleashX v0.39 to the C drive. It does boot into UnleashX, but when I try to FTP files to it using FileZilla, the directories seem to be named weird with the date in front of them. So fileZilla tells me that the directory is not found... I have attached a screenshot. Please let me know what you think, it is much appreciated!
  17. Hello All I have a x3 modded v1.2 xbox that i have upgraded with a 2tb drive. I am trying to ftp games to it but after a while it will stop and give me errors like file not found using flashfxp or filezilla. I have tried with static ip and dchp also with router and direct using (crossover cable) from my pc and a laptop. The process gets to a certain point then errors, i've been trying for days with no luck. any suggestions more than welcome. Thanks
  18. What are the steps on getting it to connect. Any simple tutorials I could read? what are the programs i need? thanks
  19. I I am trying to delete Sid Meiers Pirates from my games folder. I have tried deleting it from FTP, it says Response: 550 CWD failed. "/F/Games/Sid Meier's Pirates!": directory not found. Error: Failed to retrieve directory listing. It still has an icon in XBMC. Any suggestions?
  20. Qwix101 Ftp to your xbox Create xiso's extract xiso's patch default xex and more.... Change Log: Note: Please read the Qwix_FAQ.htm file included with Qwix! Even with that file included in the RAR, many of those questions come up all the time. This is a bugfix release and adds no new features. Qwix 1.01 fixes: - Reworked FTP transfer buffers for improved Windows performance during and after transfers, which can also increase transfer speeds (especially boost mode). - Changed default transfer buffer size from 512KB to 1MB. - Fixed a transfer thread leak which caused various problems with Qwix after transferring an ISO. - Fixed a problem that prevented game icons from being downloaded after transferring an ISO. - Fixed a problem that prevented batch properties from taking effect if you pushed a button on the toolbar before clicking in any other control first. - Made the XBE rename case-sensitive when deciding whether it should rewrite the XBE file or not. - Disabled the "Use advanced Avalaunch features" option in the connection editor until the SITE REFRESH command is fixed in Avalaunch. Yes, that's all that the option does. No, it doesn't make transfers slower. - Fixed the taskbar disappearing act and an occasional OLE32.DLL access violation, both on Win98/WinME. - Fixed a few font and color issues, making things a bit more consistent with certain themes and platforms. - Fixed a problem that prevented a transfer to the root directory of an Xbox drive. - Fixed a random access violation that was caused by the component used for all the lists and trees in the Qwix user interface. - Made the local PC folder browser show the proper folder name for shortcut items like My Network Places shares. - Fixed the Rename ISO feature from the Scan Folders right-click (from the Load ISO screen, not Scan Titles).
