I have (purchased from a friend) a x3ce modded Xbox that boots into XBMC and it has a 2tb HDD installed. He has about 330 Xbox games in folders on the G partition, and it's running out of room. I have another 300+ games that I would like to install to F and just wanted to see what needed to be done to get all the games from F and G to show when I click the "Games" tab. Is the a CFG file I need to edit in XMBC or am I stuck with 2 separate sources (Games and Games 2)? I hope I explained that well enough. Thanks in adavance.

I haven’t done any modding yet. I’ve got my Xbox on order, it should be in by the end of the week. I am looking forward to getting back into some original Xbox games. I pretty much haven’t touched one since the 360 came out. For now I’m just trying to make 5+ posts so I can download the repair guide! Looking forward to being part of this community. Thanks!

It's nice to see the OG Xbox community is still alive. It's been years since I chipped xboxs, and am really looking forward to start a new project once my new rework station arrives!

First attempt for the xbox mod, both from case pow and hardware, had a 1.6/b so i used aladdin, now i need hexen to add a new hard drive...hope it will work

Hello, I have gotten my hands on a few original xbox's and have hand modded one and installed a 2TB hard rive. Having some problems moving all the original xbox games over via FTP so decided to come here to ask for help but will do so in a post specifically around my issues.

Just received my 2nd X3 Control Panel in the post today Plugged it in and tested all looking good except for the dodgy bottom line of text on the LCD.... Anyone have any ideas?

Hello guys I am really stuck and broken 4 xboxes the last week with flashing wrong because i want to know where my problem is. My xbox has the aladdin xt plus 2 modchip in it and it work fine but... when i want to put a new drive in it it wont boot from disc(auto installer, hexen 17 and 19, rocky) The only disc it boots is slayer 2.7 The problem is with an other IDE or Sata drive no one boots up and slayer says the disk 0,0,0,0space The sata adapter is with the 2 capacitors and it has worked on a softmodded xbox with the same 2tb sata drive. I have tryed with different dvd drive, ide cables also the 80pin. Also tryed different bios files, m8, xecuter 2 the other brokes my chip. When i want to hotswap it the hdd clones the slave but when i want to boot it cant from drive or disc. So what is the problem and what can i try next? thanks for youre time.

Evening all I’m rather late to the party 15years at a wild guess! A simple loft clear out and low and behold my 1.1 from when I was a child came out of its box! No leakage from the clock capacitor which I couldn’t believe!! I have just completed a clock capacitor removal and Tsop all successful just thought I’d pop in and say hi!

Hi all, I decided to dig out my Xbox (v1.1) and mod it to turn it into a emulation station. Luckily I got it out at the correct time as I caught the clock capacitor just as it was beginning to leak. I have just finished soft modding it and soldering the tsop write access solder points. Unfortunately I have gotten caught out by the Phillips disk drive as it decided it didn't want run Hexen which I had burnt to a DVD RW. I don't have any DVD R at hand so I will have to postpone the tsop BIOS flash to tomorrow when I can get some DVD R's. Hopefully I should be able to finish modding the Xbox tomorrow with the tsop flash and install a larger hard disk. I just wanted to say hi to everyone in this great forum.

Hello, I have noticed that my XBMC4GAMERS version hasnt updated for a while. I thought not much of it. Then i decided to try and download some homebrews and DLCs for some games i have. Whenever i chose something (mods,updates,emulators) it just shows 3 points moving, as if it were connecting or something, but nothing happens. I tried updating my Downloader, samething, no download or progress. I remember this used to work a few months ago. Is the service still up or is there something wrong with my xbox? My xbmc4gamers version is 1.2.122 I wish i could give you the version of my downloader but seems it cant be display. It reads "URLDownloader Version:" As if the numbers didnt fit in the screen even after changing the display settings. Thank you for any answer and to Rocky5, i know you read this all the time but thank you for creating this and keeping our consoles alive.

Hey Guys ! Im Lopal from Germany! Im a big fan of consoles and Gaming in general. Back in the days I grew up with a N64, got my first Computer, then got my PSP that I hacked( and probably all other psps in my hometown) after that I got my xbox360. Now, many years later I bought a big package of Consoles by a dude, who had to give them away because of his girlfriend. One Console that was inside the package was a Xbox Classic. I was never on path with this Console, but I did some research and I started to love it! Now I got my hands on a hardmodded xbox classic with internal HDMI Mod. And I try my best to understand how all this modding ( Soft- & Hardmodding) works, but (obviously) im not successful... otherwise I wouldn't be signed up in this forum. Right after this welcome Post I gonna create my first Thread with some questions. I hope you guys are not gonna be that much botherd by me and im already sorry... Best Regards Lopal

Hey everyone I'm new to the OGXbox scene and i managed to get a free xbox from a mate recently so I am looking to update the softmod (i think there is one on there) however ideally I would love to build a new HDD from scratch and give it the cleanest of starts ... this is my Type A coming out. So is there somewhere I can download images of the default xbox disks and or partitions ? Ive got a 2.5" SATA Hitachi 7200RPM 500Gb HDD here i'd like to build up as a new disk and then softmod it and get it going Cheers - Dan

I bought a 500gb Xbox fully loaded with origins dashboard and games - one game (GTA San Andreas) appears on “featured games” but when I press A the console resets - how do I delete it from appearing in “Featured Games” - or could I add the game somehow as I have the disk? Thanks

Hello everyone, My name is Thomas I bought a 1.4 Xbox from a thrift store about 2 weeks ago No cables no nothing I managed to find the power cable in a lot of cables I had in my shed But I ended up buying the component cable and a few games I didn't know whether the Xbox would even turn on at this point Luckily for me it did today I did my first Mod. I removed the clock capacitor Tomorrow I will do a softmod using the Rocky 5 method with the MechAssault CD I've already gathered everything and install the Payload to USB Drive just waiting for the USB cable to come in the mail Tomorow September I'm hoping to do a hard drive swap installing a 500gb SSD Looking forward to learning from everyone And thanks for the advice in advance Tom From Toronto

So thats the thing, I just got my first original Xbox! I live in Chile and in here having something like this is very niche hehehe. Nevermind, I opened it, cleaned it, changed the thermal paste, replace the IDE cable for a 40 cable and bought a new controller, because it came with the controllers smashed. There is no modchip on it, because when I opened it up, I saw absolutely nothing. It has a 360 looking dashboard called XBMC360, according to the hardware info, it is a v1.6 Xbox, it has an Xcalibur video decoder, CPU runs at 731.55mhz. Detected retail BIOS is: 5838.01 Made in China, year 2005, week 25, line 5. XBMC pre-2.1 (compiled: May 27 2007) Mplayer XBMC-SVN-r8532 (May 25 2007) I am not asking to give a me tutorial on how to install another HDD (which I will as it has a 40GB Maxtor) I just one to know the basics you know? Why so many partitions on the HDD? What is the main software that runs a modded Xbox? What is a skin? That is it! The rest I will try to find on my own, I just want to know the "basics". Thank you guys, I am leaving you some pics, and also a picture of an original "Japanese" controller I got in the mail just today! Hello guys, I am from south america, I live near the end of the world! And it is my first time with an XBOX (sounds a bit gay). Thing is, I am suffering with my new original Xbox. It came with two controllers, but, both are completely dead, I opened them, and they are unfixable. No screws on the console, I bought them all, hard drive was not working, I bought a new IDE cable, now is working. The DVD drive was not opening, I fixed it with a needle. AND the only problem I have left with no solution is the power supply, it is 110v, 1.6b, made in 2005. I need a 220v! It has been quite a headache, I got myself a power down convertor, it works, but it sounds like a nuclear plant! "Not good" (Trump voice) So dear guys if you have any deals, or any seller of 220v PSU for the Xbox, be sure to let me know! My most thankful cheers to you all! I've copied the files from the Halo 2 disc to my chipped xbox via ftp. When starting the game there's no menu text (as if the font is missing). Selecting menu options at random starts the intro movie, which runs for a bit then crashes. The files are verified extracted and copied ok. Lots of other games transferred exactly the same way are working fine. It is a v1.6 with an xecuter 2 chip. I tried to run the ACL from dvd2xbox on the installed folder, but that seemed to hang and hadn't completed after 10 hours. There isn't a specific acl for Halo 2 installed as far as I xcan tell, so it is running the default one. Any suggestions? Thanks

Have modified a few different consoles before, but just started working on an 1.0 Xbox. Would have done it sooner if I knew how powerful this thing is!

Hi all, new to the original xbox scene, but been modding something or another for more years than I care to admit!. Decided to get one a while back, which I soft modded with SC, then it went into the 'collection'. Had a few other projects on the go which sucked up any spare cash, but now have 2 more originals, both hard modded, 2 Mad Katz wireless controller's, etc, etc. All I need to do now is reinstall W10 on the PC, so I can burn a update DVD (Haxan?), and get them all 2 terrabited up!. Anyway, back to the dirty work (full refurbs). Thanks for having me here!.
