  1. I'm currently using the Startech USB2SataIDE to build new hdd's with FatX. I have the USB3SataIDE version, but it doesnt work with FatX. I don't know if it's because it uses an Innostor-IS611 chip, compared to the JMicron-JM20337 of the USB2 version, or something else. I've heard of people using USB3 with FatX and was curious if anyone here has had success. I average 27MB/s, just looking to do better.
  2. I'm trying to softmod an old OG Xbox by doing a hotswap (since the DVD drive can't read games) on the original 8GB WD harddrive. I'm using "Amazon's Choice" usb adapter for whatever that's worth. Inateck USB 3.0 to IDE/SATA External Hard Drive Reader Applicable to 2.5"/3.5" HDD/SSD, with 12V/2A Power Supply, SA03001 https://www.amazon.com/Inateck-External-Reader-Applicable-SA03001/dp/B08BNPXSJ9 I can't tell if a) this adapter isn't supported or b) I'm not getting lucky (timing wise) with the hotswap keeping the drive unlocked. Any help is appreciated! If I use USB View it shows the device as: Loc[124] DeviceConnected: USB Mass Storage Device Device Descriptor: bcdUSB: 0x0300 bDeviceClass: 0x00 bDeviceSubClass: 0x00 bDeviceProtocol: 0x00 bMaxPacketSize0: 0x09 (9) idVendor: 0x1F75 idProduct: 0x0611 bcdDevice: 0x0006 iManufacturer: 0x04 0x0409: " When I try to see the device in FATXPlorer I get the following log: =====FATXplorer v3.0.0.24789 64-bit (x64) Log File START===== Runtime: .NET 7.0.3 OS Fingerprint: 3047bb3539608b94e41b5d78e5d1bc137edd101800e5ae889a3164cec688de07 [3/11/2023 4:19:13 PM] [Startup] FATXplorer is starting... 3. Hello! I know there is a beta version of FATXplorer available and it supports the original Xbox. Is there any good tutorials on how to get started? Other than plugging in my OG Xbox hdd into my computer with FATXplorer running that is as far as I got. Nothing showed up for a drive to use so hopefully I'm missing a super simple step to get started.
  4. I am quite familiar with using fatxplorer for xbox 360. But i cant seem to get the og xbox partitions to show up in fatxplorer.
  5. I have a HDD that I want to grab a lot of data off quick and got this error when mounting the drive. Tried another drive and it works fine any ideas ?
  6. I'm trying to make my life easier and use the beta version of FATXplorer to copy an A$$ load of files to my HDD. It looks like i need to load and backup .bin to this and go from there. Now is that the eeprom back up or something else? I have the eeprom.bin but it said that was invalid. So I'm a bit stuck. Any guidance would be much appreciated. Thank you
  7. Latest beta version out, will give it a try later. https://fatxplorer.eaton-works.com/3-0-beta/
  8. Just passing this information on: I've just got word that FatXplorer 3.0 beta 1 has just been released for testing! https://fatxplorer.eaton-works.com/3-0-beta/ This contains the long-awaited support of OGXbox disks! This means no more being restricted to FTP transfer speeds to fill your disks- you can drag and drop using the ordinary Windows interface. Some features are not yet supported such as: formatting. This means you would still need to format your disk first via your XBox using XBPartitioner, then connect it to your laptop/PC. I have noted that it does appear to support opening raw backup images, although NOT compressed ones (notably the XBMCOrigins torrent, as that comes in a custom .imgc compressed format due to being backed up by HDDRawCopyTool.). Also note that the final version will be pay-for software, although in my opinion well worth it. I've been using the 2.5 version for years for managing my 360 disks and love it.
