    Bios EVOX M8+ IGR

Hello, I have a xbox 1.6 with a puce aladdin x2, hdd 500 go. I need the bios M8+ that supports IGR and 500 go hdd. I have a programmer. Thanks to anyone who can give me a link for this one. PS: I can't use cerbios because the console is plugged into RGB.
  2. Hi I did mod one of my 1.0s with the stellar hhdplus and the stm works so far sadly "EvoX Titan 128MB HDPlus UDMA4 YD" does only really work if I press eject Cerbios has no problem with booting up, but only shows picture when the hdd has been read. Gruß Edit: I use a cheap U4 adapter.
  3. Here you get a shit load of pre patched EvoX files. 144 EvoX bios'es in total. These files are for 128MB XBox'es version 1.0-1.4 and 1.6/1.6b. You get these in many different versions in many flavors like: EvoX 128MB (256kb/512kb/1024kb) (noDVD/yesDVD) EvoX 128MB 1.6 (256kb/512kb/1024kb) (noDVD/yesDVD) EvoX 128MB HDplus (256kb/512kb/1024kb) (noDVD/yesDVD) EvoX 128MB HDplus 1.6 (256kb/512kb/1024kb) (noDVD/yesDVD) EvoX 128MB XBoxHDMI (256kb/512kb/1024kb) (noDVD/yesDVD) EvoX 128MB XBoxHDMI 1.6 (256kb/512kb/1024kb) (noDVD/yesDVD) EvoX Titan 128MB UDMA2 (256kb/512kb/1024kb) (noDVD/yesDVD) EvoX Titan 128MB UDMA2 1.6 (256kb/512kb/1024kb) (noDVD/yesDVD) EvoX Titan 128MB UDMA4 (256kb/512kb/1024kb) (noDVD/yesDVD) EvoX Titan 128MB UDMA4 1.6 (256kb/512kb/1024kb) (noDVD/yesDVD) EvoX Titan 128MB UDMA5 (256kb/512kb/1024kb) (noDVD/yesDVD) EvoX Titan 128MB UDMA5 1.6 (256kb/512kb/1024kb) (noDVD/yesDVD) EvoX Titan 128MB HDPlus UDMA2 (256kb/512kb/1024kb) (noDVD/yesDVD) EvoX Titan 128MB HDPlus UDMA2 1.6 (256kb/512kb/1024kb) (noDVD/yesDVD) EvoX Titan 128MB HDPlus UDMA4 (256kb/512kb/1024kb) (noDVD/yesDVD) EvoX Titan 128MB HDPlus UDMA4 1.6 (256kb/512kb/1024kb) (noDVD/yesDVD) EvoX Titan 128MB HDPlus UDMA5 (256kb/512kb/1024kb) (noDVD/yesDVD) EvoX Titan 128MB HDPlus UDMA5 1.6 (256kb/512kb/1024kb) (noDVD/yesDVD) EvoX Titan 128MB XBoxHDMI UDMA2 (256kb/512kb/1024kb) (noDVD/yesDVD) EvoX Titan 128MB XBoxHDMI UDMA2 1.6 (256kb/512kb/1024kb) (noDVD/yesDVD) EvoX Titan 128MB XBoxHDMI UDMA4 (256kb/512kb/1024kb) (noDVD/yesDVD) EvoX Titan 128MB XBoxHDMI UDMA4 1.6 (256kb/512kb/1024kb) (noDVD/yesDVD) EvoX Titan 128MB XBoxHDMI UDMA5 (256kb/512kb/1024kb) (noDVD/yesDVD) EvoX Titan 128MB XBoxHDMI UDMA5 1.6 (256kb/512kb/1024kb) (noDVD/yesDVD) ******************************************************************************* Some infos about the patches I used: Titan Patch Version: 1.1.0 MakeMHz XBoxHDMI Patch Version: 1.4.3 MakeMHz HDplus Patch Version: 1.0.2 MakeMHz EvoX 128MB Ram Patch Version: 1.0.0* *Could also be v1.0.1 how ever, it's the latest m8plus_true_128MB_fixed.ips. ******************************************************************************* All these bios'es are sorted* and ready to use with XBlastOS or any other flasher which requires that the bios is named bios.bin which has to be in C:\bios (C:\bios\bios.bin). Note: YD = yesDVD and ND = noDVD*. (*Yes you can still boot/cold boot any DVD you like with it!) All these files are also packed as bios.rar files using winrar 3.0. So you could unpack these with UnleashX etc.. (Only of interest if you go to use these of an installer). That lead me to one thing. If you are one of the last ones who creates installer, feel free to use these files on your disc. ******************************************************************************* Credits and a HUGE thanks for the patches fly out to: MakeMHz and Gaasedelen. And also a HUGE thanks to Donnie-Burger for testing. ******************************************************************************* And don't forget to suppport the Devs! 4. Howdy! Long time follower of the forums and this is my first post ever on the site. Finally got me a modded original NTSC Xbox from eBay after years of not owning one. Loving it! Mostly playing Halo2 on XLinkKai. My only issue with it is that who ever modded it and sold it to me on eBay removed the iconic classic flubber intro boot, all it has is just this blame and dull blue Xbox logo during boot and nothing else. Looking to see if there is anyway I can get the flubber screen back? I know it's something to do with the BIOS, just haven't found any leads in what to do and all the information i used to frequent back in the day on isozone is gone and anything I find is obscure with no clear information or instructions and I'm afraid to mess anything up with out some kind guidance on the procedure. I'd really appreciate the help or any kind lead. Thanks in advance!
  5. Hi all, I've recently bought this adapter , I connected it to the power and the data cables (Seagate SATA 250gb drive 3.5"), inserted Slayer Evox 2.7 DVD, but it stucks a bit into the Xbox splash screen (while showing the pink icon on the top-left, no "Slayer Evox 2.7" appears below the Xbox logo) before giving me Error 16. So I switched back to the old PATA drive, Evox launched correctly, switched the drives (while Evox still running) but : - when I format, it takes ages and returns '0' on each partition - when I try to lock/unlock it freezes (blank text on blue container) - when I try install as new large hdd it takes to formatting - when I try to install just Evox on C it takes weirdly no time (after formatting all partitions took ages as usual). Edit: I just tried, left the console for a while, then returned and as before all partitions shown '0' and when I reboot (thinking the install process was complete) same Error 16 as before, sometimes error 7 So what I'm supposed to do? FYI: the adapter has no "slave/master" thing on it, just the 40 pins and the power ones (but it seems making the hard drive working/sounding).
  6. has anyone had the same issues I have? the DVD drive under standard XBMC and other apps fails to detect DVDs (always shows as empty), this is hinted in Titan's readme on its github, but it's a software problem -- it should be fixable, for example XBMC4Gamers has it fixed, but it can't play media in any way! is there any way we can obtain the same version of the source code that XBMC4Gamers uses and have it in a normal XBMC4Xbox version that can play multimedia? i'm one of the few weirdos that still uses his Xbox to watch movies and shows, cuz it gives an amazingly crisp, bright and clear image over RGB! so this DVD problem is a major bummer that I'd LOVE someone could have a fix for!
  7. I just had tsop'ed my xbox and Clean the C from Softmod after Tsop, so i want to install Unleashx, when i installed and open it the screen goes black, but others dash evox, avadash etc works fine?? My xbox is tsop'ed but i still have softmod savegames and unleashx savegame is they who broken unleashx?
  8. Where can I change fan speed? Since Insignia I flashed my TSOP with EvoX M8+... I used to have iND before... The problem is, I don't know where to setup the fan speed... I can change it in XBMC4GAMERS but as soon as I start a App or Game it changes back to low speed. This is not good because I'm useing a different silence fan that needs to run at least with 80% speed to keep the Xbox cooled. My Xbox HDD is installed with Hexen2020. It has all the other Dashboards and I tried everything... Dashboards from Apps folder, HexenTools folder, C Partition... but it won't work, it won't save the fan speed like it did with iND and his config file. Any idea?
  9. I hope this topic is not in the wrong section. So I have driveimageutils installed along with various things that I followed in this reddit post where KaosEngineer had opte4d his help with someone else. Link below: I have my dashloader configured in what I would assume working order. I looked at the dumped log file and appears to be working with the patch for running an xiso. I ftp'd a xiso that I made with quix and put it in my F:\Games folder along with the attach.xbe file renamed to default.xbe. Note that i have the iso and deafult.xbe in their own folder. Now when I load everything up and go to my games folder in the dashboard, it says attach virtual disc or something of that like. So I click on it and it goes to black screen and stays there. Not sure if there is something configured wrong with driveimageutils install or if I have an incompatible bios, though evidence seemed to point that wasn't the case. In any case, I'm pretty stumped and haven't found any threads dealing with the same problem. Though I should mention that I built the xiso from a redump on archive.org, so I am not sure if that is what the problem could be.
  10. A friend of mine modded my xbox so I have no clue what he did, but I am now using XMBC by default when I turn on my xbox, I am curious how can I revert it to the unleasx or evox (i dont know which one he installed while modding) ?

    Xbox EvoX Fix?

I hope someone can help, I am very new to this. I found my original xbox in the loft, when I boot it loads showing EvoX (pink logo) in the top left corner. It then seems to boot open the original dash. I heard the PAL system was locked so you couldn't access the HD scaling. Is there anything I can do to unlock the 720p / 1080i features to get better visuals on my 4k TV? I found a forum saying I could use a DVD and burn HeXEn bios onto it or something then run that in the Xbox to unlock the features? But when I tried to burn this to a DVD-RW it would not let me on my PC? Sorry, I know you probably get this a lot from newbies! Cheers.
  12. Hello guys, I just updated the fan of my Xbox and want to set now the default value of the fan to 100%. Unfortunately I don't have a Windows machine to edit the evox.m8plus.v16.fc.137.bin. If someone can tell me how to edit it on a Mac I'm also can also change it myself. Thanks for your help. Regards Nikolaj
  13. Here is a little beginner tutorial about how you can overclock your EvoX bios using WulfyStylez XBOverclock tool. First of, download the XBOverclock tool. Download incl. bioses : https://1fichier.com/?qdelzlqfg0dp58scr67a Download from Github without bioses : https://github.com/WulfyStylez/XBOverclock Now extract the file. You should now have a folder called “xboverclock”. (In case you downloaded my upload. If not rename the folder to xboverclock) For this “tutorial” we place the extracted folder in C:\ ( C:\xboverclock\... ) Screenshot 1: https://imgur.com/a/MmkTuzo Now open a command prompt and enter the folder by typing “ cd c:\xboverclock “ and hit enter. You can now check for the files if you want by typing “ dir “. You should now see all the files in that folder. Screenshot 2 : https://imgur.com/a/a35fEkO Now we are going to create our own overclocked EvoX bios. This is the command with STOCK values : " xboverclock -nv 233 -fsb 133 -o EvoXm8plusOC.bin EvoXm8plus.bin ". NOTE: “ -nv 233 ” is the GPU. Base value of it is 233MHz. Change this value to what ever you want but don’t go crazy! Best is to rise it step by step 1 or 2 MHz and test the bios. “ -fsb 133 “ is the value for the CPU FSB. In our case it`s 133MHz. Like mentioned above, don’t rise this value to much. #Babysteps! So go with 1 - 2 MHz at a time and test the bios. “ -o EvoXm8plusOC.bin EvoXm8plus.bin “ This will tell the tool that it should use the bios “ EvoXm8plus.bin “ and output the overclocked bios as “ EvoXm8plusOC.bin “. So let’s recap with a little example line and a 2 MHz overclock for the CPU-FSB & GPU. A valid OC command could look like this : “ xboverclock -nv 235 -fsb 135 -o EvoXm8plusOC.bin EvoXm8plus.bin “ Now it’s time for you to decide what values you like to test. For this tutorial let’s grab the line from the note above and type in your command prompt : “ xboverclock -nv 235 -fsb 135 -o EvoXm8plusOC.bin EvoXm8plus.bin “ and hit enter. You should now see the output like in the screen below. Sceenshot 3 : https://imgur.com/a/joL0krn You made it. The xboverclock folder should now contain a new bios file named EvoXm8plusOC.bin which you can flash to your mod chip. Note: Do not edit this bios now with e.g. EvTool because that will reset the OC to defaults. So in case you need to make changes to the boot order do it before you overclock the bios! And some words of warning. Don't expect any wonders. In most cases you will not benefit from the overclock. It’s mainly made for emulators and not for games. In some cases you gain 1 or 2 frames in games and in some cases games will run to fast even with this small overclock. So you would need to patch these games xbe’s for the new clock speeds. And yes, it’s a lot of work testing out how far you can go with your overclock (every XBox is different which means, it works for me but, it may didn’t work for you) and a lot of trail and error which in some cases could brick your XBox. So do never ever flash these bioses to a TSOP – NEVER! Do not flash these bioses to a single bank mod chip like Aladdin, LPC/Cheap Mod etc. without having a external flasher on hand to flash back a working bios or without having a second SST chip laying around to perform a hot flash. This is a SERIOUS warning and no joke! So bottom line, is it worth the hassle? Nope. It’s more or less a proof of concept and something to play with for us neerds and nothing for the casual user. But that’s just my opinion and you may think differently about that which is totaly fine. Finaly we have reached the end of this small “tutorial/overview”. Have fun and please don't brick your XBox by doing stupid things! PS. Here is a short YT video I have made where you can see all the stuff above in action instead of pictures : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMNSfDFsiQs PPS. You can download this “tutotial” here as PDF if you like (Incl. Pictures :D ) : https://1fichier.com/?jahpi6lewhdxynf5va2f PEACE!
  14. Hello there, I recently decided to give a second chance to my old Xbox, my parents bought it to me back in 2004 when I was 12 years old. it is a v1.0 and always has booted EvoX, even to this day, the problem is that I can't find any modchip or TSOP. Maybe it's my lack of expertise but I thought that EvoX only boot in a hardmoded machine, so where it is? And if there is no chip, how can it boot EvoX? I've already removed and cleaned the clock capacitor leak, no visible corrosion.
  15. Bios “FAQ”: What does CEE or EEC meen and what is different? CEE/EEC is the boot order of the bios file. CEE will boot it’s first Dashboard from the “C:\” partion of the drive. In most cases it’s “C:\evoxdash.xbe”. Which can be either a the EvolutionX Dashboard or a shortcut to a different Dashboard on any other partition (C,E,F or G). So you could place a shortcut on C:\ and point to E:\Dash\UnleashX\unleashx.xbe and when you boot up your XBox, UnleashX will show up as Dashboard. Screen : https://imgur.com/a/hf6nG5Z In some cases, the evoxdash.xbe can be found, for what ever reason. Then the bios tries to boot the second letter “E:\” which points to UnleashX (In the pic above – E:\Dash\UnleashX\unleashx.xbe). If that can be found it will boot UnleashX. And you guessed it, if that can’t be found either, the Bios tries a last time with “E:\Dash\EvolutionX\evoxdash.xbe”. When all of these options has failed, you will get an fancy error screen. Note: For some apps like Dashloader ect. you should use a CEE bios to avoid any trouble. I would say, a CEE is the most user frindly option even, if you have more experiences, it makes no differend. EEC will boot it’s first Dashboard from the “E:\” partion of the drive. They point mostly strait to a Dashboard like “E:\Dash\UnleashX\unleashx.xbe” or “E:\XBMC4Gamers\default.xbe” as you can see in the screen below. Screen : https://imgur.com/a/GsFOZCo So that’s the main difference between them and they are the most common bios variations. But every “rule” has his exceptions. Some times you have bioses like “EFC” or “FFC”. If I remember right, the X-Disk from FireFucker has those bioses. Not sure why but if I had to make a guess “FireFucker – FF” = F partition. But thats just a guess. So you see, you can point your bios to what ever you want. C,E,F or G, it just depends on you. But there is a little “twist” in here. Some old Dashboards lile tHc, BlackStromX (BSX) and some other will need a bios which boots C first because those are “Hacked” MS Dashbaords. Ofc you could HEX-Edit the hell out of it, like some ppl. Have done with BSX or tHc Lite but at the end, it’s not worth it. All “modern” dashboards boot from everywhere. So let’s move on to iND. iND bioses are a bit different. A iND bios has, not always but most likely, a config file in which the bootorder is stored (you could inject the config to the bios but, for 1 sec it’s not worth the trouble you could get into and in case you use a 5004.06 bios it could breake your XBox). To edit the config of the iND bios you can use the IND-BIOS Configurator or notepad. It just depends on your personal taste. Like you see in the screen below, in the “ind-bios.cfg” and in “ IND-BIOS Configurator” appears the same. It’s almoste or is the same like you have already seen in the EvTool for EvoX bioses. Screen : https://imgur.com/a/YSWRajj And they work the same way. You can do CEE, EEC configs if you want and inject them and you would have an EEC, CEE bios like you have with the EvoX bioses but that not very common. Most ppl. prefere to use the config. A plus here is, you can edit the config fast and you don’t need to re-falsh a bios just to make the change work. Example - iND bootorder (ind-bios.cfg) DASH1=\Device\Harddisk0\Partition2\evoxdash.xbe DASH2=\Device\Harddisk0\Partition1\Dash\UnleashX\unleashx.xbe DASH3=\Device\Harddisk0\Partition1\Dash\EvolutionX\evoxdash.xbe DEFAULTXBE=\Device\CdRom0\default.xbe The rest is the same like for EvoX. And now the last, the Xecuter bios. Like the iND, the Xecuter bios has a config, the “x2config.ini”. And like in the iND config you can edit it with x2-config-maker tool or with Notepad like you can see in the screen below. Screen : https://imgur.com/a/81liMNt nd yes, it’s the same like in EvoX or iND but you have 2 Dashboard options more which can fail before you get that fancy error I have talked in the beginning. You can change the boot order here as fast as in the iND and you don’t need to re-flash it in case of a change. One different here, you cant inject the ini to the bios like you could do it with the iND but again, who want’s that. Example - x2/x3 bootorder (x2config.ini) dash1Name = e:Dash\UnleashX\unleashx.xbe dash2Name = e:Dash\EvolutionX\evoxdash.xbe dash3Name = e:Dash\XBMC4Gamers\default.xbe dash4Name = c:evoxdash.xbe dash5Name = c:xboxdash.xbe So that it about the CEE, EEC, XBMC or X4G bioses. Some other interesting things which should be cleard up are, that even the name “noDVD” seems to say that you don’t have a DVD drive, that is not true. As we all know the XBox will not boot up when you remove your DVD drive or it’s gone bad. A noDVD bios just disables the check for it so the XBox simply didn’t care if it’s there or if it’s working. And because more and more drives beginning to fail because they get old it’s a smart choice to flash a noDVD bios. BUT you have to keep your eyes open. Because, since HeXEn/TruHeXEn has faulty noDVD bios on it, ppl. Start to belive that you can’ t boot a DVD and some just belive you can use it at all, like I said above. Both isn’t true. So if you have a “good” noDVD bios, you can boot/cold boot any DVD you want. Let’s take a look at the screen below. Screen : https://imgur.com/a/1KA1gmZ Like you can see, the left one is a “good” noDVD bios. It has still “default.xbe” in the DVD box. The one on the right is missing that. So even you have a good working DVD drive the bios don’t know what it should boot. That meens, when you have such a bios on your XBox, you will only be able to launch the DVD from your Dashboard but not if you power on your XBox with the DVD already in the drive. We have the well known HeXEn cold boot bug which hopefully get fixed in the 2021,2022,2023 version? We will see – or not. That depends on Heimdall and his finger. So whats left to say? Oh right. F, G or F+G. And what stand this letters for? They define the layout of the hard drive. So if you have a huge 2TB HDD in your XBox, you have to use F+G (Partition F and G) if you like to use that space. For smaller HDD’s up to 250GB max, a F only would be fine but, you could also use a F+G because there is basicly no downside (Did your PC care if you have just C partition even Windows supports up to 5 partitions? ). That leads us to the last question. Which bios you should choose? That depends. I would say. If you don`t have a 128MB XBox, I would recommend a “EvoX m8+ F+G noDVD CEE” bios. You flash it once and then you can forget it. EvoX is fast it does make the job well and you can do pretty much the same with it like you can do with the others. And if you have an v1.6 you have to use it in case you have a Aladdin, LPC2 or any other “cheap” modchip which just has 256kb. The other option for a 1.6 would be an x2 5035 but that’s an 512kb bios. But if you have a fancy schmancy bling bling 128MB XBox, I would choose the iND but, I have to point out here that there isn’t a “becasue of”. Some nerdynerds have a reason for that, I don’t. So… I think, thats it for this little weivrevo which turned out to be a little bit longer. I hope that I gave you some more or less usefull information and that I cleared things up a little for beginner or HeXEn/TruHeXEn noDVD user. If so, hit the like and subscribe button and don’t miss the next video … PEACE! PS. If you have found a typo, congrats, you have found the copy protection.
  16. Hello I got some problem with upgrade my Evox M7, I cant use my G drive so I decided to upgrade Evox, but it is locked (?) I tried to do it with Slayer 2.7, I got 1.5 Xbox, is there any solution to that problem? Thank You
  17. Hi all, just wanted to start a thread regarding my Crystal Xbox Original as its modded with Evox chip and only loads the Evox boot when the chip is enabled and I also press the LED pins with my finger (very odd, no?) I've included an image to show what I mean. The chipped Evox works in this case but wondered if there's anmything I should do? I'm also considering selling it once working. Thanks and cheers for the advice. GamerID80 - Also on the Facebook group.
  18. i flash custom evox bios, after that it just not boot, and switches to stock bios. i use raincoat to flash. board is 1.6 and i use evox.m8plus.v16.fc.137.bin from aid 4.5.3 i have no idea what i do wrong. i then reflash it with hexen 2017 and it work OK.
  19. I've been using EvoX's telnet features to poke around with memory with games. Have been making some progress with Crazy Taxi 3: High Roller. Haven't made a trainer yet, but have ran into some concerns: 1. I would like to have better control over value much more like Cheat Engine would have. 2. Too many games close out access to the Debugger (notably Fight Night Round 3 and THPS4) 3. A live memory edit would be nice 4. Working with floats does NOT have to be this hard. 5. CXBX is just a nightmare to work with. Does anyone have any solution to these problems? Does anyone care? We can dump the entire memory using scripts. That's a start, I just haven't started on it. Actually Putty isn't working for this job. An In conclusion, can anyone provide EvoX / RemoteX source code so we can work on the telnet feature? Big thanks to: mandragor for EvoX Trainers Telnet v1.1
  20. Some skins I came across on a box when repairing. Thought I would share as these are not on the Slayers Auto Installer Skin.rar Just FYI there seem to be alot of adult skins
  21. Just a quick question guys and girls, i would like to swap my dashboard from UnleashX to EvoX, my setup is v1.2 Xbox (Softmod), is it just a simple case of popping in Hexan or Slayers installer disk in installing EvoX. Thanks all for your help, i appreciate it a lot.
  22. At first I started modding my OG Xbox for fun and preservation. But I really like playing with it. After a Rocky5 softmod (mrmario2011 tutorial), I decided to go TSOP. After tweaking my potention meter, to finally get 1 of the 4 hexen discs to read, and after fixing the dashboard with it. I now have a TSOPPED, 1.0 with 256kb evox m8+ f and g bios and a unleash x dash. In the changelog of the HEXEN2018 disc, it says that every bios is modified to work without disc drive.. But if I disconnect my disk drive, my xbox won't boot into his dash.. So I would like to try to modify my evox m8+ bios myself with evotool to get rid of the dvd check. (to make sure I preserve my og xbox when the drive fails in the future). The only problem is, I can't seem to find the bios files on the internet, and I don't know how to get them off the Hexen dvd.. Anybody got tips. And what is your opinion, should I use ind bios instead? And what's the best way to flash from the hard drive?
  23. Jargon Buster TSOP - IS THE ONBOARD CHIP THAT BOOTS THE MS BIOS , YOU WILL WANT TO BOOT FROM THIS FOR XBOX LIVE. LPC - THE HOLES WHERE THE MODCHIP CONNECT TO THE MOBO USING WIRES OR PINHEADER OR QUICKSOLDER METHODS. FRAG - FLASHES RED AND GREEN. THE XBOX IS TELLING YOU SOMETHING IS WRONG AND IT CANNOT BOOT POSSIBLY DUE TO POOR SOLDERING. BOOT - WHEN THE XBOX LOADS A BIOS AND STARTS UP THIS PROCESS IS CALLED BOOTING. BIOS - THE PROGRAM THAT IS STORED ON THE MODCHIP OR TSOP. IT'S EITHER MS OR HACKED (EVOX OR X2). PIN HEADER - 2 ROWS OF PINS THAT YOU SOLDER INTO THE LPC HOLES AND THEN SIMPLY PLUG YOUR CHIP ONTO IT. MOBO - SIMPLY MEANS THE XBOX MOTHERBOARD. D0 - THIS IS A LITTLE VIA ON THE TOP OF THE MOBO OR A SMALL PAD ON THE BOTTOMSIDE OF THE MOBO THAT WHEN GROUNDED PREVENTS THE TSOP BOOTING. VIA - A VERY SMALL LITTLE CIRCLE. YOU WILL NEED PRACTICE BEFORE YOU CAN SOLDER TO THESE. YOU CAN AVOID THESE ON EARLIER MODELS BUT NOT ON A V1.6 EVOX DASHBOARD - AN ALTERNATE DASHBOARD FOR THE XBOX THAT HAS A MENU TO LOAD GAMES , FLASH YOUR BIOS ETC. NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH EVOX BIOS WHICH IS DIFFERENT AGAIN. EVOX DASHBOARD IS MADE UP OF A NUMBER OF FILES THAT YOU TRANSFER ONTO YOUR HARD DRIVE OR A CDRW. THE LATEST VERSION IS 3935. EVOX BIOS - A HACKED BIOS FOR THE XBOX , IT ALLOWS YOU TO PLAY BACKUP GAMES AND RUN COOL APPS LIKE EVOX DASHBOARD. THE LASTEST BIOS IS M8 PLUS. X2 BIOS - A HACKED BIOS FOR THE XBOX , IT ALLOWS YOU TO PLAY BACKUP GAMES AND RUN COOL APPS LIKE EVOX DASHBOARD. THE LASTEST BIOS IS 4983. HOT SWAP - THE NAME GIVEN TO THE TECHNIQUE OF BOOTING THE XBOX WITH ONE MODCHIP (WITH THE LID OFF AND THE DVDROM TURNED AROUND THE WRONG WAY) AND THEN UNPLUGGING THE MODCHIP FROM THE HEADERPIN AND REPLACING IT WITH A BLANK ONE OR ONE THAT HAS HAD A BAD FLASH AND THEN FLASHING THIS CHIP. FLASHING - PROGRAMMING A BLANK CHIP OR REPROGRAMMING A CHIP WITH A BIOS FILE. SPIDERCHIP AND ALADDINS NEED A 256K BIOS. DUOX2 NEED A 512K BIOS. ALSO V1.6 XBOX'S REQUIRE THE EVOX M8 PLUS V1.6 BIOS. OTHER MODELS CAN USE THE X2 4981 OR X2 4983 BIOS. FLASHBIOS - A SPECIAL BIOS THAT ONLY LETS YOU DO A FEW FUNCTIONS. (WONT PLAY BACKUP GAMES). ITS MAIN PURPOSE IS TO FLASH YOUR MODCHIP WITH A HACKED BIOS. LOCK - LOCKS A HARD DRIVE SO THE MICROSOFT BIOS AND DASHBOARD WILL BOOT. THIS IS NEEDED FOR XBOX LIVE. UNLOCK - UNLOCKS A HARD DRIVE FOR USE IN A PC. YOU MUST UNLOCK A XBOX HARD DRIVE BEFORE IT CAN BE USED IN A COMPUTER.
