I'm a 30 year old retro gamer from NY. He/They is fine. I like retro and modern gaming. Been gaming since the N64, got the gameboy color shortly after, And got the dreamcast at launch, followed by the Gamecube and xbox during their respective holiday seasons. I was mainly an RGB modding guy, but I recently started tinkering with my xbox, softmodded, and caught the bug. Now I plan on hardmodding with Project Stellar

Hey you all! Most my gaming friends call me XTC. (Not the drug, it’s a anime called Witchblade that I got it from.) installed my first mod on an OG 1.6 last year. Did a Sata to IDE converter, installed a great 2TB drive and updated the Xbox with Rocky 5 mod/XBMC. once I did that, I completely stopped as I had limited space in my house. Now with a remodel being finished I started back up last week and wouldn’t you know it the caps went bad on the board. just wrapped my cap replacement tonight and I’m feeling empowered! Just wanna say thank you to all the people out there who make content so we can figure this stuff out! now that the caps are replaced and the mod is ready to go, I’m ready to figure out how to start installing stuff, haha! Thank you for having me here looking forward to meeting new people and making some new friends!

Just joined. I modded my first xbox around 2004, I'm fairly sure it was an xecutor or an xecutor clone. It fell into disuse for years when TVs stopped actually having any input sockets, but recently I got hold of a Pound HDlink and resurrected it, although it has developed a fault that I'll research on here later. Meantime I was given my nephews old v 1.0 xbox that seems to have a dead hard drive, I'll have a go at resurrecting it with an Aladdin. Thanks for letting me in, I'm sure I will have the odd question or two later.

Hello! I got my first Xbox back in 2003 and it's still up and working today (now unsoftmodded because I want to keep it as classical as possible ). Boy is it a joy to come back to it from time to time. I then got two crystal boxes that are both modded as we speak and it is amazing to look at all the capabilities this mod has. Hi everyone! Just repaired my old Xbox that suffered from bad capacitors and drive belt issues. The box was dead for around four years. Wanted to see if the the old (original) Xbox community was still alive. And it is! Thanks

Hi guys, I'm new here, but not really new to modding things. I hotswap/xboxhdm/ude'd about 20 xboxes almost a decade ago. ive never installed any modchips or tsop'ed anything, but i just picked up another xbox and gonna bust my tsop cherry on it. i just softmodded it the only way i could, it was a nightmare because of different things, cd drive not working, trying to boot xboxhdm from usb, it didnt copy all the files, then error 21, tried to fix that, ended up with error 16, ended up tearing apart an old external dvd burner and bam, got it working with old faithful hdm 1.9, and ndure 3.1. I gotta say, I would've had a heavy ass paperweight if not for this site. there's a lot of knowlege here...I guess Im trying to figure out where to go from here...was thinking backup everything, get eeprom, update the softmod with rockys awesome software, then try my hand at this tsop thing. ok, long ass rant/introduction over! thanks for the mountain of info!

I've been contributing to the Xbox Dev Wiki for a while, but just found out about this site. Good to see a bunch of people still interested in the classic Xbox! My interests mostly lie in emulator development, but I've been doing a lot of hardware work lately. Currently working on a replacement for the Super I/O debug board with a USB interface, CDC serial port, on-board LPC flash programmer, and SMBus controller.

Been lurking around the FB page since shortly after it was started. Decided to join the forums since I will have some time on my hands come the end of August. Located in Northwest Iowa and have been modding Original Xbox consoles for many, many years as well as Jailbroken Playstation 3's, RGH Xbox 360's, and many more consoles.
