I've been having this issue for a while, and I am not sure where to write about it. I mentioned it in a post a few years ago, but now have more information but it makes the whole thing even more baffling. I am using an Original v1.4 Xbox (Halo Green Edition) There are a handful of games that my Xbox just refuses to play, period. Originally, the only games I knew didn't work properly were Stubbs the Zombie, Psy-Ops and Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. They both would freeze at specific spots during the game, Stubbs during the "Don't do drugs" and Psy-Ops the final battle. Stubbs example - https://youtu.be/hO2w5w1KKFs With Stubbs, I tried it on my Xbox 360 and it worked perfectly without issue. So, I thought it was just a bad eye, or DVD-Drive. Drive picture - https://i.imgur.com/sMV3iMj.png I recently modded my system so that I could play Back-ups and preserve my discs, and low and behold...... the same issue is still happening.. even when played off HD, and there are more games! For example, with Stubbs.. I tried from disc, dvd2drive to play it off the HD, I went and got another disc from a local retro GameStore, and even found a back-up online to try out... and all freeze up exactly at that spot. Now I am finding other games with the same issue. Hulk: Total Destruction friezes when you start the game. Gauntlet Seven Sorrows freezes up after a few minutes of starting the game proper, it seems to be related to certain music tracks, but don't quote me. Once again, I've tried playing it on Disc, off HD, and even going out of my way to try a back-up I found on the net (both burned to DVD, and from HD) and it's the same results. Yet it works fine in my Xbox 360...... I am using the StarTech IDE2SATA with a 2TB Crucial SSD. Hardmodded my system with an open xenium chip. Other games work just fine, I played through Robocop (2003) on my Xbox just last week with no issue and a few other games. Why do these handful of games crash, is it a bad chip? capacitor? I tried to transfer games from xbox1 to an other xbox2 through FTP, and there were some games that can't be transferred. Tried to copy to PC from xbox1 then send from PC to xbox2, same result. Xbox1 did not have problem transfering the files before, I tried with an other xbox(3), xbox3 did not have problem either recieving this game. What is wrong with xbox2? Xbox1 has 2tb hdd, just like xbox2, xbox3 has only 250 gb. I did not mod xbox1, but I did upgraded xbox2 to the 2 tb HDD. At first I could not make a G drive, I had to upgrade the BIOS with hexen2018, then I could create G drive. It did not say what kind of BIOS i am flashing, I just selected the 256kb flash, then went to the "1.6 and 1.6b" menu and selected (f and g) option. I tried with multiple FTP client, flashfxp,filezilla,total commander, same result. Tried with different FTP client on xbox2, xbmc,unleashx,hexen ftp, dvd2xbox, some game that had problem previously could be transferred with dvd2xbox ftp, but that one failed too. The game is called "Csi - Crime Scene Investigation" but I am sure there are lot more games that will have problem while transfering. When I try to transfer CSI some files goes through and some can't be transferred, and flashfxp says "[13:32:37] [R] CWD /F/Games/Csi - Crime Scene Investigation/DATA/English/Shared [13:32:37] [R] 553 "/F/Games/Csi - Crime Scene Investigation/DATA/English/Shared": Directory not found." What can be the problem? Bad BIOS? I read that that "evox m8 plus" is the way to go, I dont know if I have this one or not, but I also read that this bios itself is not good because it does not support LBA48, and has to be modded... Is there a download link for the modded "evox m8 plus" with lba48 patch? And how do I have to install that? Through hexen? Can I do it without burning dvd? I recently chipped a Xbox Rev 1.0, for some reason when I play legit discs on my Xbox it doesn't freeze, but when I play games on the HDD in particular Oddworld Stranger's Wrath it freeze after five minutes in-game however if you press the eject button it goes back to dashboard safely. I don't know if it's botched solder on my modchip, overheating, or caps.

I am using Emustation as my dash and was playing a A Link to the Past which worked pretty well for the most part, until I got to the Skull Woods where there was an overlay of fog, then my FPS dropped from 50/50 to 35/50. I noticed it again when I was in Gargoyle Dungeon and the first area was a large area with several sprites running at once, again dropping to 35/50. The lag for me seems to coincide with higher demanding effects or more sprites running on a single screen. Does anyone have a suggestion to get better fps? I was running on the "fastest, okay sound" global setting in Snes9x. As a test I played to the same locations on my PC and noticed my PC gets 60/60 fps, and did not drop fps at all on a complete playthrough. Why does snes9x only get 50/50 fps on the xbox, instead of 60? I searched the forums for similar topics and I posted in an much older thread a week ago, but no one responded so I thought I would create a new thread.

Hello, I have an issue with 2 of my apps where if I reload them or try to load a game from them I get a black screen and nothing loads up after that. When I first start the apps they load fine. I have to reset the system to exit the apps to get back to the dashboard. I have changed directories, Installed both of them under F:\Applications and F:\Games. In both directories I get the same result. The Apps are: CoinOps8Lite and XBMC-EmuStation It is a hardmodded Xbox running Xecuter2 and the EvoX Dashboard. Is there something I have to change to get them to work? Thanks for the help!

Hi, I have a hard modded OpenXenium chip with a 1 TB WD Blue HDD. I have everything set up and I am trying to get more than 200 GB - with more than > 200 GB left on a partition. Filezilla is not letting me do that. I am just trying to transfer the titles. They are all HDD ready for transfer but they do not go through at a certain point. They all become failed transfers. The bios I am using is unleashed x from the OGXBOX installer. It was not flashed by the program but was transferred by my network. It is a CEE bios. I switch dashboard sometimes. The only one that I have on there that is not preinstalled is Emulation Station. I had used the DVDmulleter to get the bios necessary. The HDD has been partitioned correctly having being split from F to G the remaining left. I am fairly new to this and any advice to help would be beneficial.
