Hello. I softmodded my xbox and decided to try the tsop mod. Followed a guide up untill the part where it had me burn a hexen cd. Instead I found this https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzRN8P835YijOFAydnYzRE0yNmc/view Unfortunately trying to skip burning a DVD has resulted in my xbox booting to a black screen. I see "loading ind-bios" before the screen goes black. Looking online I found some suggestions to boot into hexen disc (so I ended up having to burn it anyways) then run the clear files option. None of this worked though. Any ideas on what I can do to get my dashboard back? Chris

Jargon Buster TSOP - IS THE ONBOARD CHIP THAT BOOTS THE MS BIOS , YOU WILL WANT TO BOOT FROM THIS FOR XBOX LIVE. LPC - THE HOLES WHERE THE MODCHIP CONNECT TO THE MOBO USING WIRES OR PINHEADER OR QUICKSOLDER METHODS. FRAG - FLASHES RED AND GREEN. Hello guys I am really stuck and broken 4 xboxes the last week with flashing wrong because i want to know where my problem is. My xbox has the aladdin xt plus 2 modchip in it and it work fine but... when i want to put a new drive in it it wont boot from disc(auto installer, hexen 17 and 19, rocky) The only disc it boots is slayer 2.7 The problem is with an other IDE or Sata drive no one boots up and slayer says the disk 0,0,0,0space The sata adapter is with the 2 capacitors and it has worked on a softmodded xbox with the same 2tb sata drive. I have tryed with different dvd drive, ide cables also the 80pin. Also tryed different bios files, m8, xecuter 2 the other brokes my chip. When i want to hotswap it the hdd clones the slave but when i want to boot it cant from drive or disc. So what is the problem and what can i try next? thanks for youre time.

Hi, everybody, Well uh... 0k... i'm brazilian and my english isn't very...uh, i'll try my best. I realy need a hand here. 1st question: Got this Xbox chipmodded. When I turn it on, I have to hold the button a bit longer to load the dash (I use xbmc) and then the "evox" icon appears and there it goes just fine. BUT, if i just quick press the button, it goes directly to that old MS original dashboard where none of my stuffs are recognized. What I want is to load the xbmc in both ways, with the hold-pressin'-button-evox-icon-appearin' AND the quick-pressing-button. I use to leave it this way, but it was a long time ago and I don't remember how. Somebody please help me. 2nd question: Max Payne 2 freezes in the same point of the game right in the begginin' when that little guy in a uniform, guides Max throug a trap and then the game freezes soon as all the hell's gonna breaks loose. Love this game, but it's freezin' at this point and I try EVERY versions (ntsc or pal from a to z), delete cache, fix date, turn igr on and off... an it freezes at the SAME POINT... nothing works. Ok. I can manage, I'll play on PC, graphics a lot better and got a 360 controller. But then, the same thing happens to X-Men Legends, just in one of the first danger room. Freezes AT THE SAME FREAKIN' POINT! Look all over forums and people with the same problem but find no one... got nothing. Would somebody please enlighten me? I'm on my knees. Try everything I could to fix it and end up screw up my console what lead me to the 1st question on this post. Thanks.

hey guy im in need of a little help the issue is whenever i TSOP an xbox that when i go to install games and apps, some work some dont, the ones that dont work load for a very long time and boot back to the dashboard but when i put the same apps/games on a softmodded console it works just fine EXTRA DETAILS: 1.the consoles im TSOPing are the 1.0 model 2.i used hexen to tsop 3.maybe the hexen tsop mod is missing files to boot some of the apps/games thanks in advance

I have 2 XBOXes v1.2 and v1.6 with Rocky5 softmod v1.1.6. I was messing around with the NKPatcher and nulled the HDD drive key on one of them before backing up the EEPROM and now it boots up to error 05. It seems I need to format it using the hotswap method, xboxhdm v1.9 and a backup of the Dashboard from the C partition, which I don't have. Can I use the files from the other XBOX? EDIT: I'm probably looking at it fro the wrong angle... when using the hotswap, won't I get access to the backed up EEPROM in the E partition? Can it be used to restore the HDD?Or is it better to just format it and start from scratch? This subject is still pretty new to me.

Hi i messed my xbox up by deleting files off the c drive and to cut a long story short ive managed to get it running again using the hexen disc, i want to boot into XBMC4GAMERS which i have on my E drive, trouble is there is no default.xbe on my c drive? there is just a IND bios config which says the following DASH1=\Device\Harddisk0\Partition2\evoxdash.xbe DASH2=\Device\Harddisk0\Partition1\Dash\UnleashX\unleashx.xbe DASH3=\Device\Harddisk0\Partition1\Dash\EvolutionX\evoxdash.xbe DEFAULTXBE=\Device\CdRom0\default.xbe not sure why it says default xbe in cd rom because i have removed the Hexen disc? any help would be appreciated.

I am filling a 2tb drive and the bigger i make the menu, the slower it boots. is there any way to get unleash x to not autoload the menu's so it will boot faster?

Well, this question goes to those of you who have done this before. I recently got a TSOP'ed v1.2 xbox with ind bios 5004, 128 mb ram, 1ghz and 160 gb hdd. I also have a chipped v1.6 xbox with 2TB hdd (segate barracuda 7200 rpm) - and i made a clone of this 2TB to put into my TSOP box. I checked that the 2TB cloned hdd (seagate barracuda 5400 rpm) worked fine in my chipped xbox. And it did. Then i took the TSOP xbox, installed a 80 ribbon cable with a startech ide2sat2 adapter (jumper pins to master) and connected my new cloned hdd. [EDIT:] I start it and it a black screen with the letters "ind bios" appear.. i hear the hdd spin up twice... and nothing happens.. then i press eject button twice and the white ind bios splash screen appears, from here it takes some 10-20 seconds until dashboard appears. [/EDIT] On my chipped xbox it takes 10 seconds. What can i do to speed up the boot process ? RUn EVtools on indbios ?

Hey guys! I recently picked up a 1.5/128 console and am looking to trick it out as much as humanly possible. First on my list is customizing the boot logos. I’ve managed to alter the “microsoft” text basically using MS paint, but the “XBOX” text above seems a bit trickier. (My friend and I both have 4-letter names, so I’m sure you can see where this is going) I found some sample files and a guide posted by Rocky5 but the date on the guide is from 2004 and references 3DSMAX 6, which I can hardly even find mentions of on the web, let alone a functional copy. Has anyone tried this recently? Particularly in Blender? I’m pretty savvy but have absolutely no experience in modeling so would appreciate any help that can be given. Also: would love to have some insight into custom Flubber models as well. Thanks team! Actually last edit this time: ASSUMING your config is functional, is there a version of IND wherein the config file can be injected without killing the console? I’m not sure but I think mine is on 5003. Minimizing startup times is another major goal of this build (WOW does this BIOS boot fast /w no DVD!!)

Ok guys got an issue that is getting on my wick. Slapped a 2.3b Lite into a 1.6, used a clone LPC Rebuild Kit and proceeded to boot the console. D0 was connected to the board and ground was connected to the screw hole as usual. As soon as you put power to the console it will boot up then reset 2 times before FRAGGING. Only when D0 is connected and chip is off. With chip on with M8 1.6 Bios I can get a boot with Evo shield but it hangs after that and still turns on as soon as a power cord is plugged in. Front panel doesn't work at all. Remove the chip or D0, and it'll boot fine to the original softmod it came from. I've reworked it with my iron, even given it a hot air rework. Which point is most likely the culprit? Apologies on the lead free solder. Was using a friends over my own.

I'm new to the xbox modding scene. I was given a v.14 og xbox from a friend that was never modded/tampered with. I'm thinking about doing a tsop since I like the idea of not having to deal with locking/unlocking hard drives. My question is, if I remove the clock capacitor, which bios make sure I don't run into a clock boot loop error 16?

After a Tsop and 1tb HD install - I had Ninja Massive, a few Xbox games and Emulators working fine. This morning I go to power it on, everything looks fine but it will not Boot any of the above mentioned. Loads for a few minutes and returns me to UnleashX Dash. I cleared the cache and don't know what else it could be. Any tips or help with this is greatly appreciated ;(

Is there a way to set up a soft-mod so that the Xbox boots directly to the game directory?

I got a system in today from eBay (of course in "Perfect Condition") except when I powered it up it had a Flashing Green Ring / Won't Fully Boot or Read Disc. I opened it up and found that nice dent in the DVD drive. Swapped out the drive and it worked fine. Thanks for the assist Blake!
