Wanting to buy a 128mb Xbox motherboard, I would prefer it to be a 1.2 or any revision that doesn't have the single row PSU connector Also I'm only really looking for people in Australia to save on postage cost @SS_Dave would you be interested in selling me a 128mb board since your in Australia?

I have a dvd drive that reads disks but crashes because the board is faulty - can I take a working board from a dvd drive with a laser that doesn't read disks? And If so is it pretty easy to do - any guides? Thanks

Hi, New to OG Xbox, I have recently picked up 2 Xbox Crystal edition's (one clear and the other Crystal virgin) with board rev 1.6's (confirmed Xcalibur chip on one and the others manufacture date is later so must be also 1.6?) When I purchased these I was hoping to do a TSOP hack on them to be able to boot backup games from and upgraded HDD (already have all reinvent adapters etc). Now that I know I have rev 1.6 boards I know that the only option is a modchip or softmod. Is there a way to boot backup games from an upgraded HDD only using softmod or does this functionality require a TSOP or Modchip? If so is someone able to point me in the right direction for a total Xbox softmod noob. I have softmodded the console with UnleashedX via the SC hack with ease however a lot of information is outdated regarding dashboards and software and finding the most recent, supported software is proving to be some what challenging for me. Any assistance much appreciated

I've got a v1.4 XBOX with an issue with the DVD drive not opening. I have already taken it apart and replaced the belt in the Phillips dvd drive. Then decided to swap drives with another working XBOX that also has a Phillips drive. After the swap, the issue remains with the original XBOX I was working on. In other words, the working drive from another XBOX now won't open. Meanwhile, the drive that I swapped into the working XBOX now opens. This leads me to believe that both DVD drives are good and maybe something is up with the motherboard in the original v1.4 I am working on. Do you guys have any ideas what could be causing this? Is my v1.4 motherboard bad? It seems to open if there is no disc in the tray. Once I put a disc in the tray it will read it and start the game. When I try to eject the game the screen goes black and the disc will not eject. It behaves the same way with both dvd drives I have tried it with and I have verified that both dvd drives are working.

I have a LPC Rebuild Board called the OXC LPCorrectr. I have included the files needed to have it made and it’s completely open sourced. .6 thick OXC_LPCorrector_v2.zip

I have completely taken apart a 1.0 system and removed the clock capacitor, cleaned the CPU, GPU and both heat sinks and reinstalled them with good quality thermal paste. I intend on TSOPing this system. I know it has to be soft modded first. I’d like to solder the two points on the board to unlock write capability of the EEPROM while the system is apart. Is it okay to do this , then put the system back together, do the Softmod and finally the TSOP flash? Or do I have to put the system back together and do the Softmod before I solder the points on the board? Thanks for your help.

Can someone please confirm that only the Pads at R7D3 (on the top of the board) and the Pads at R7R3 (on the bottom of the board) need to be soldered and there is no jumper wire or other modifications needed if the TSOP is a Winbond TSOP and not a Sharp TSOP.
