About Me

Found 6 results

  1. So I recently learned a valuable lesson about TSOP flashing when I flashed my 1.0 with iND-BiOS.Beta.Feb-11-05.67.bfm.bin rather than the non-BFM version of the bios. I was wondering what the practical purpose of the BFM (Boot from Media) bios is, and how one would even use it? I'm assuming it is a BIOS that something can load AFTER the Xbox as already booted and initialized all hardware?
  2. Forgive me if this is something that can be found by searching, but I haven't found it: Is there currently any chip in production that supports the X3 bios? It seems like the only ones around have 256k flashes, unless I'm mistaken
  3. Hi, I’m new to anything to do with mod chips on the original Xbox so my apologies if I sound like a complete noobie. I recently purchased a Xbox of Facebook market place that has a DuoX2 (blue) mod chip installed. When the console boots is has like a green logo in the top left and Slayers 2.7 underneath the Xbox logo at the bottom of the screen (I’ll add a photo to explain what I’m talking about). Then it boots into evolutionX dashboard I believe. I’ve dabbled with soft modded Xboxes before and wanted to take a crack at a mod chipped one but I’m worried I’ll brick the console if I just try and re flash bios and install a new dashboard. So long story short, is it possible to update the bios on the mod chip to someone a little more recent like EvoX M8 or something? The Xbox is 1.4 console. I opened it and cleaned the console of dust and re did the thermal paste and fixed the DVD belt prior to wanting to update the dashboard and mod chips Bios. any help is much appreciated. Kind Regards, Karl

    No Flash Bios?

Sorry, guys. I tried to flashare the bios of an xbox 1.0 with Hexen's dvd. I wanted to put the M8 F&G on but when I press Y nothing happens. I wanted to make a way n to remove the DVD control to be able to put double hd with switch, but nothing, does not erase me the old and does not make me flashare the new. I mount an Aladdin xt chip.
  5. Hey all I have a 2tb hdd to install in my xbox which is chipped with an aladdin modchip. I have a copy of the hexen 2018 disk but am not sure which bios to flash to it. If anyone could point me in the right direction id really appreciate it. Thanks
  6. Anyone know how? It's been 3 years since I did xbox work and I honestly forgot how or even IF you can stick the factory bios back on. I already googled this for an hour.
