About Me

  1. Hello, I need some help with my Xbox Classic 1.4. It`s modded with an Aladdin Advanced Chip. I decided to revieve my System as it only had 110GB IDE drive. I changed it to 2TB SATA drive and all worked fine. Except for one problem: I changed partitions with Hexen 2018 and began to copy files via FTP. The F partition was 1,7TB. As the time reaching 1TB of copied files I got write-errors. I figured out it`s because F is too big. So I partitioned F and G to 956 each (or something similar) with Hexen 2018s Xbpartioner 1.3. All worked fine but after reboot I saw that F was only 127GB wit Xbpartitioner 1.3 from HDD with error message that the BIOS does not support custom partitions. So I flashed the BIOS and this was the beginning of the end... After flashing the Xbox did not boot, just shows logo (used IND 5004) and after that the screen stays black. Since then the xbox does not boot from DVD. I flashed the flash chip with a Nano USB programmer with Evox.m8plus,fc.137MySpezialBlue.bin. After boot I see the blue xbox logo but I am still not able to boot from Hexen 2018 to reconfigure the HDD. Short time after the LED starts blinking red/green with error 07 on Screen. How can I make the Xbox boot from DVD again?? Thx for help in advance. Regards.
  2. I have been tinkering on and off for a few years now. I have some 128mb N64 Freak boxes they were tsoped from him with ind BIOS. My issue is I have never got them to boot with any kind of stability or repeatability. With mod chips and other BIOS X3/X2/m8 no issue. I have placed the config file in the correct locations. DASH1=\Device\Harddisk0\Partition2\1evoxdash.xbeDASH2=\Device\Harddisk0\Partition1\Apps\XBMC4Gamers\Default.xbeDASH3=\Device\Harddisk0\Partition1\Dash\EvolutionX\evoxdash.xbeDEFAULTXBE=\Device\CdRom0\default.xbe It boots once and then hangs once power cycled. I can come back and hit the switch and its fine. HDD for testing is only 64 GB SD card on 80 wire. OGX 2021 Fatxplorer beta 3.0 method for HDD creation is unstable and crashes.
  3. Hello guys, I just updated the fan of my Xbox and want to set now the default value of the fan to 100%. Unfortunately I don't have a Windows machine to edit the evox.m8plus.v16.fc.137.bin. If someone can tell me how to edit it on a Mac I'm also can also change it myself. Thanks for your help. Regards Nikolaj

    Bios reflash

Hi Everyone, I am new to this forum and despite looking, I couldn't find an answer to my question. Basically, I have an Xbox v1.1 with an ST TSOP. Awhile back I TSOP flashed it using HEXEN 2018 and I flashed on the EvoX M8 + F & G Bios. After this I installed a 2TB Sata HDD and Set up the HDD with 1TB assigned to F and 1TB assigned to G. Over time I have filled up most of the F partition and a lot of the G partition. I want to reflash a customised version of M8 + with no evox logo and my own boot colour scheme but I am worried about some of the options (I am basing the new customised bios on the file "evox.m8plus.fc.137" taken from my HEXEN 2018 iso.) I think I installed the 256k bios initially (even though i know my TSOP has more room) and I'm thinking of keeping it as 256k. Is this what is recommended? BUT mainly, do you think that keeping the LBA48 support setting as "Partition 6 takes up to 137GB/Partition 7 takes rest" will ruin/alter the partitions of my current installed hard drive as described above? I ask because I have about 1.3TB of data already on the HDD and I don't want the BIOS re-flash to wipe all of that just to get rid of the EvoX logo and change the boot colours. Thanks in advance people!
  5. As in the title, my xbox is TSOP'ed and splited with a switch for dualboot.
  6. I made a modded version (details soon) of the Xecuter 3 bios to theoretically boot on all chips (it was tested on a 1.0/1.1 TSOP, SmartXX and Xenium chip). It is 1024k bios so you can't flash it on a 1.2-1.4 tsop. (Config Live won't work because most if not all except x3 chips don't have a dedicated EEPRom) Warning: This modded version hasn't been tested on every modchip so don't try to flash it, if you have no way to recover as it might could brick your chip. Download: https://goo.gl/bJy9g1 Thanks to xbox7887 for testing it on his Xenium Box and 1.0/1.1 TSOP. (Basically just a repost from my Reddit post)
  7. I used EVtool to create a custom bios without the DVD drive check and EvoX Logo. This allows my modchipped xbox to operate without a disc drive. However, my other xboxes never get past the boot sequence when I try to use the same bios flashed to the TSOP of a 1.0 and two 1.4s. The xbox logo disappears and I get hung on a black screen indefinitely. They boot to the dashboard if a DVD drive is installed just fine. Does the no DVD bios only really work with a modchip?
  8. Hi i have a Xbox 1.0 with a corrupt bios and i discovered that the TSOP mod wasn’t done before i flashed it and ended up corrupting the bios. I tried the 3 wire trick and that didn’t work and can’t seem to find any bios reflash settings on the Open Xenium mod chip. So that really only leaves me with flashing a new chip and soldering it in. Is that the only option i have?
  9. So I managed to repair my xbox and while I was at it I got to work on a couple of 1.6s I had. I've installed the Aladdin XT Plus2 and I left the on board led off so it doesn't turn on. I used the TruHexen 2020 disk and flashed the 256k BIOS, v1.6. Now when I boot, as I'm sure most of you know, I get the purple triangle with the Evo X logo. I don't really care for the logo and I would like advice on what would be the best BIOS to install on a: 1.6 with an Aladdin chip stock hdd but going to upgrade eventually working dvd drive but that may be removed want F and G no LOGO. Thanks guys!
  10. Here is a little beginner tutorial about how you can overclock your EvoX bios using WulfyStylez XBOverclock tool. First of, download the XBOverclock tool. Download incl. bioses : https://1fichier.com/?qdelzlqfg0dp58scr67a Download from Github without bioses : https://github.com/WulfyStylez/XBOverclock Now extract the file. You should now have a folder called “xboverclock”. (In case you downloaded my upload. If not rename the folder to xboverclock) For this “tutorial” we place the extracted folder in C:\ ( C:\xboverclock\... ) Screenshot 1: https://imgur.com/a/MmkTuzo Now open a command prompt and enter the folder by typing “ cd c:\xboverclock “ and hit enter. You can now check for the files if you want by typing “ dir “. You should now see all the files in that folder. Screenshot 2 : https://imgur.com/a/a35fEkO Now we are going to create our own overclocked EvoX bios. This is the command with STOCK values : " xboverclock -nv 233 -fsb 133 -o EvoXm8plusOC.bin EvoXm8plus.bin ". NOTE: “ -nv 233 ” is the GPU. Base value of it is 233MHz. Change this value to what ever you want but don’t go crazy! Best is to rise it step by step 1 or 2 MHz and test the bios. “ -fsb 133 “ is the value for the CPU FSB. In our case it`s 133MHz. Like mentioned above, don’t rise this value to much. #Babysteps! So go with 1 - 2 MHz at a time and test the bios. “ -o EvoXm8plusOC.bin EvoXm8plus.bin “ This will tell the tool that it should use the bios “ EvoXm8plus.bin “ and output the overclocked bios as “ EvoXm8plusOC.bin “. So let’s recap with a little example line and a 2 MHz overclock for the CPU-FSB & GPU. A valid OC command could look like this : “ xboverclock -nv 235 -fsb 135 -o EvoXm8plusOC.bin EvoXm8plus.bin “ Now it’s time for you to decide what values you like to test. For this tutorial let’s grab the line from the note above and type in your command prompt : “ xboverclock -nv 235 -fsb 135 -o EvoXm8plusOC.bin EvoXm8plus.bin “ and hit enter. You should now see the output like in the screen below. Sceenshot 3 : https://imgur.com/a/joL0krn You made it. The xboverclock folder should now contain a new bios file named EvoXm8plusOC.bin which you can flash to your mod chip. Note: Do not edit this bios now with e.g. EvTool because that will reset the OC to defaults. So in case you need to make changes to the boot order do it before you overclock the bios! And some words of warning. Don't expect any wonders. In most cases you will not benefit from the overclock. It’s mainly made for emulators and not for games. In some cases you gain 1 or 2 frames in games and in some cases games will run to fast even with this small overclock. So you would need to patch these games xbe’s for the new clock speeds. And yes, it’s a lot of work testing out how far you can go with your overclock (every XBox is different which means, it works for me but, it may didn’t work for you) and a lot of trail and error which in some cases could brick your XBox. So do never ever flash these bioses to a TSOP – NEVER! Do not flash these bioses to a single bank mod chip like Aladdin, LPC/Cheap Mod etc. without having a external flasher on hand to flash back a working bios or without having a second SST chip laying around to perform a hot flash. This is a SERIOUS warning and no joke! So bottom line, is it worth the hassle? Nope. It’s more or less a proof of concept and something to play with for us neerds and nothing for the casual user. But that’s just my opinion and you may think differently about that which is totaly fine. Finaly we have reached the end of this small “tutorial/overview”. Have fun and please don't brick your XBox by doing stupid things! PS. Here is a short YT video I have made where you can see all the stuff above in action instead of pictures : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMNSfDFsiQs PPS. You can download this “tutotial” here as PDF if you like (Incl. Pictures :D ) : https://1fichier.com/?jahpi6lewhdxynf5va2f PEACE!
  11. Is there anyone who is in possesion of the force 480P files? they where shared by mr. Nova at assemblergames. I am in desperate need for these files for the hdmi mod, most larger tv's do not support 480I over HDMI. thank you for sharing already, i will post a tutorial for adding a WII2HDMI inside an xbox soon, have 4 of them running already ;-).
  12. i want to oc the cpu of my v1.4 xbox to lessen the constant frame drops that it has on many games. does anyone have an oc'd bios for it that i can test? someone gave me a tool to make my own modified bios a while back but i don't care enough to figure out how to use it tbh. this question is manly for james and kaosengineer.
  13. Hi all, I've been out of the scene for ages, but recently saved a few xboxen from clock cap death and bought some aladdin chips to mod them with. Also got some SATA to PATA converters, which I haven't gotten working: proper 2 cap version with the master / slave jumper and an 80-pin cable, seems to cause a conflict with the DVD drive in every config I can think of - OGXBOX DVD shows "linux" and then DVD keep seeking back and forth forever. I thought I'd update the bios to see if that helped. I've gone through as many threads related to this topic as I can e.g. https://www.ogxbox.com/forums/index.php?/topic/3866-aladdin-flash-not-writable/ and tried the suggested solutions, but I am unable to flash a new bios to my modchip. I' going to try and provide as much information as possible as well as the things I've tried, in the hope that someone can assist. Top side of the board (this is one I haven't installed, installed one is identical with BT and D0 connected correctly, chip boots fine): Bottom side of the board: Stuck on erasing (and bios ID): Bios hashes: I'm using OGXBOX Installer 2021 DVD. Xbox is reported as 1.4. So I've tried the following: xflash for sst49fl020: seems to be able to dump the flash, but fails on flash with an "Flash check id failed, are you sure you have flash enabled?" XBlast 0.56: select evoxm8_67. when I press both triggers, start and white, the xbox reboots (wtf?) OGXBOX menu flash: gets stuck on erase as per the image above Tried the short and long power button presses, doesn't seem to change anything. "Chip: Protected" appears on the OGXBOX screen Any suggestions? I do have a minipro programmer somewhere with (I think) the correct adapter so could try that as last resort. Thanks -j
  14. So, I'm an old man and I can't remember how I flashed this XBox years ago. I have an Aladdin XT Plus2 with Evox +3935 and M8plus_16 fan 40.06 (not sure what size bios that is). I wrote a 2TB image to a drive and get an error telling me to upgrade to LBA48 ver 2. Can someone point me in the right direction. I do have FTP access to the box.
  15. What are the advantages and disadvantages of injecting bios config? Is it difficult?
  16. On a TSOP v1.0 Xbox running x2 5035 bios, is there anything I have to to do to enable using the additional ram?
  17. Hello All, I have what seems to be a fully working Xecuter 2.6CE in a Revsion 1.6. XBMC4GAMERS and games are working, but I can't seem to find anywhere in settings where it shows the bios version or that it even recognizes the Xecuter 2.6CE mod chip. If I hold the black or clear button on controller during boot, it just loads normal to XBMC4GAMERS. Same if I hold the power and eject button at same time on startup. I do NOT get a "Xecuter Rox My Box" logo on startup screen, but only "Microsoft". Is the "Rox My Box" only a X3 thing? I get a "Evo X" in top left corner of the same green xbox loading screen. Just curious if my bios could be a better version or if I should just leave it all as is since it is working. If I select Bank1 or Bank2 on the switch on front of unit, both load fine and work, but seem identical. Where do I find what bios version I have? Thank you!
  18. Hi everyone, I'm new here. Long story short. I'm trying to install MakeMhz XboxHD+ Hdmi Mod to my Xbox with 1.6v motherboard and 2TB HDD. I'm stuck with BIOS patching. Patched BIOS gives coma Console issue. All I get is steady green light on Xbox and black screen. All patching was done following official MakeMhz guide with EvTool 1.0.9 and correct ips file. Unpatched BIOS works just fine. I'm using Evox M8+ 16 Bios with OpenXenium modchip. Can't figure out what I'm missing. Tried different Bios'es. Also tried Using my old Aladdin Chip with same result. After patch is applied and flashed, I'm getting coma console. Also EvTool 1.0.9 won't recognize patched BIOS, gives me Unsupported kernel error. BIOS that I've tried to use, MD5 Checksum matches (as per MakeMhz website). Any help would be much appreciated. As I've been trying to work it out for two weeks now.
  19. So I modded a 1.6 with a OpenXenium chip and flashed Evolution M8Plus 1.6. I upgraded the harddrive successfully and was launching into my new dashboard with no issues. I then went to flash a version of the EvoxM8plus that forces 480p and when I restart to test the flash I am greated with an error code 9. Brand new Seagate Barracuda 2tb HDD(ST2000DM008), brand new 80pin IDE cable, brand new startech ide to sata connector. I have removed the 480p bios and still getting the same result. I have removed the disk drive and still getting the same result. From my limited knowledge I feel that flashing the 480p bios is not my issue but that was literally the only thing that changed between my last successful boot. Trying to dig out my SATA to USB to look at the HDD on my PC but I have no other ideas of what could be happening, do I need to recheck my solder points?
  20. Hello All, I finally got my Xecuter 3 CE working! I had to swap to a whole new console since the video out died on the old one. Somewhere in the troubleshooting of the old console the bios seems to have been wiped from the Xecuter 3 CE. Currently I am succesful getting it to boot to FlashBIOS 3.0.1, but don't have a file to load there. I've been googling, but most of the old download links are broken. What is the latest version Xecuter Bios that I am looking for? Anyone have please? Should I load it on both 1MB banks so this doesn't happen again? I've been out of the scene 10+ years, so I welcome any advice. Thank you!
  21. Hello So I have a Chip called a jafar, Its an upgraded Aladdin XT with Xblast. 1 Bank of 512, 1 256 and the last 256 is reserved for the Xblast which always boots first. My Question is how do I get Dual Dashboards with this? I have UnleashedX as I've always liked it but want to give XBMC a try Ideally I'm looking to have say Unleashed X boot with the 512mb X2 5035.137 bios and XBMC Boot with the evox.m8plus bios or visa versa After extensive searching online I am none the wiser, Could someone point me in the right direction to get started?
  22. I'm thinking the Ind Bios 5003-5004 as they also have support for 128mb ram
  23. G'day mates ! (typical aussie speak i swear) I've had a bit of a break from the OGX scene however I am back now and picking up the peices after I did what I wanted to with some old projects. Thanks to @SS_Daveive got a $20 bargain 1.4 board working again (afte I butchered an LPC build) however I want to extract an old bios file I wrote a couple of years ago on my Duo x3 chip. Whats the best tool to estract it and then edit it to see what is in it so I can modify it for this new box. As I have a strong feeling the file I wrote was for a slimeline I made with a DVD delete, however It has some colours and settings I changed that I want to use for this new OGXBox. Cheers - Dan
  24. I have a 1.1 Xbox with a tsop. I've done a few and normally stick to Evo, Xecuter or Ind BIOS but the 256k versions I'm looking to flash my 1.1 with a 1bmb bios and have 2 questions. Which should I use from the list below? Once Flashed, Will my Xbox boot as it normally would onto the dashboard with the full 2tb HDD or am I likely to encounter issues? This is from Hexen2020 I'll be using XblastOS to flash the bios
  25. Hi, I want to get back into making custom x2 4981 bios's but need the XBOX TEXT.3ds file as mentioned in the screen grab below (x-projects.org is long gone). I know I could use a newer bios but I liked messing with this particular one and having everything on the tsop rather than having a config file on the hdd. If anyone has it could you please PM me? I have 3ds max and deep exploration but I can't find this, any help or links appreciated
