  1. A short time back, I had some consoles repaired, upgraded, and refurbished, and the results were so good that I thought it would be good to post about it here, to recommend the company to anyone else needing such work done. All the more so since nowadays I'd imagine that companies who could work on older consoles must be few and far between. I have been a user of the original XBox for more than two decades now, and when I bought it I had it chipped at the same place, and have used the XBox not only to play the XBox's native games, but as an emulation machine (it's range of emulators is very broad, and they are mostly very good), and also as a media centre, though I stopped using it for movies when high defition became commonplace, as the ol' XBox is too slow for that. I still love the XBox for it's native games, and for emulation, though, so I wasn't happy when it developed a video fault a few weeks back. I wasnt aware of anywhere local that could do XBox repairs, but someone recommended a company to me (the company is in the UK, the same as me) via the emuxtras forum (https://www.emuxtras.net/forum/app.php/portal), so I got in touch with them, and after discussing what I wanted, I sent off my faulty, hard modded XBox, my working, unmodded XBox, and my soft-modded Playstation 2. And two weeks later, they arrived back (that time includes the time it took me to spend a day or two deciding what further I wanted done with the consoles). And this is the result: - my faulty XBox's video fault was fixed, it now works perfectly. - both XBoxes were chipped with the ModXo modchip, and the Cerbios BIOS (one of the XBoxes had a modchip, but I went with the new one because of future proofing - for example, now my XBoxes can support up to 16 TB hard drives!). - both XBoxes now have 1 TB hard drives (plus of course the required IDE to SATA converters). - both XBoxes had their RAM doubled to 128 MB. - both of the XBoxes had the hard drives partitioned, and a working dashboard was installed, along with the usual required utilities (DVD2XBox, UnleashX, etc). - both XBoxes had partial recaps, and were internally and externally refurbished. - the Playstation 2 has been refurbished, and it's internal battery has been replaced. And they even replaced a faulty shell part, free of charge! And the bloke I spoke to kept me updated on the work being done, and when I'd received the consoles back, he helped me with my questions about the new BIOS and XBox software (it's been years since I altered the system software on my XBox, so I had no idea what was new). The service was excellent, all told, and the prices were very reasonable, as was their turn-around speed. What also really impressed me were the cosmetic results of the refurbishment, the three consoles, despite being more than two decades old (ish, for my second XBox) all looked brand new, I mean really immaculate. They really look like they've just been unboxed. Basically, I couldn't be more pleased with any aspect of this service. 2. Hello ladies, gents, chaps and chapesses! It gives me great pleasure to announce that my first ever batch of self assembled modchips is ready to be unleashed amongst the community. For those that don't know, the Jafar modchip is an open source project that you can build yourself should you have the resources and the inclination to do so. Required resources can be found in the github repository, GitHub - Kekule-OXC/Jafar: Aladdin chip reimagination. Massive thanks to @Kekule for his work on this. Thanks must also go to EqUiNoX of Team Resurgent, for the updated CPLD code which allows correct booting of the TSOP. This updated firmware is available on the Team Resurgent github: GitHub - Team-Resurgent/Aladdin-Lattice. Finally, thanks also go to Lonnie @LonWay Tech. I reached out to him after seeing he had some Jafars for sale on his website and he was only too happy to help point me in the direction of how to program the CPLD using an FT232RL, which I already had a few of lying around doing nothing. He also gave me the idea of using solder paste and a hot plate for the smd components, leaving only the pin header connector requiring manual soldering. My version is the 1mb variant, flashed with the latest version of PrometheOS (1.4). The single 256Kb flash bank is pre-flashed with my own very slight customization of the latest version of Cerbios (2.4.2). This has the drive mode set to "HDD & No DVD Legacy", the Cerbios logo set to an amber colour to match the amber LED I chose to install on the board, and the dash paths set to dashloader (C:\evoxdash.xbe) followed by XBMC4Gamers (E:\XBMC4Gamers\default.xbe) as I figured these two are the most popular and I wanted it to have the greatest chance of just working right off the bat. Of course, it's very easy to flash your own version of Cerbios or any other 256Kb BIOS you'd prefer to use. It's also set to UDMA 2 (default) again just for better chance of it working out of the box. *** Note: Soldering is required *** You will need to solder in the pin header (included) to your LPC port location on your xbox motherboard if it doesn't have one there already. If you have a 1.6 version xbox you will need to rebuild the LPC port first - there are plenty of guides around on how to do this. You will also need to either ground the D0 point to enable the chip permanently, or solder D0 to the D0 pad on the Jafar, to enable booting from the TSOP if you wish to use that feature. Power on with the eject button to load PrometheOS, power button to load Cerbios. If your xbox is connected to your router / local network you can use the web interface of PrometheOS to easily flash your required BIOS file to the 256kb flash bank, if the version of Cerbios I have pre-flashed for you isn't quite to your liking / requirements. Price: 1 or 2 - £10 each plus postage. 3 or 4 - £9 each plus postage 5 or more - £8 each plus postage. Based in UK but happy to ship overseas if you're happy to cover the postage. 48 available for now, happy to produce more if there is a demand for it. Reminder: Jafar is free and open source. Please respect the licenses available in their respective folders. Hardware is shared under the CERN OHL version 1.2. Firmware is shared under GPLv3. Payment via Paypal or bank transfer. PM for questions / enquiries. Thanks!

  4. I have it on marketplace, but I wanted to put it here also. Includes some good music and a couple of interesting videos. I need to add the Halo 2 map pack, but otherwise it's pretty loaded.
  5. Simply one of my skins for UnleashX. xboe_1_2019_F.rar
