About Me

  1. Hello Xbox friends. I plan to play Shenmues 1 to 3 (father of all open world games by Yu Suzuki and SEGA) on macOS and Windows and want to use a controller that's as close to the Dreamcast as possible (I understand the Xbox is popularly known as the spiritual successor of the Dreamcast with Microsoft collaborating on Windows CE on the Dreamcast), also I like that it's big and won't cramp my hands but will an Xbox 360 USB breakaway cable work with the Xbox "Duke" controller flawlessly? Do they have the same exact pinouts? Thank you in advance. God bless, Revelation 21:4
  2. i know you are focused on og xbox but i guessed you have knowledge on 360 modding i have a problem i was trying to start rgh 1.2 my fat falcon xbox 360 but i had a problem im using jr programmer and coolrunner rev c and jrunner with extra i didnt start soldering the coolrunner yet i only solder programmer and i got to read the nand with no error 2 times but after Writing glitch.ecc to Nand i got these errors Error: 000 writing block 17 Error: 000 writing block 21 Error: 000 writing block 40 Error: 000 writing block 4D what im doing wrong ? and if i use the picoflasher i get better results ? ps: i forgot to backup the nand im i done for ? if anyone curios here is my soldering wires
  3. There's a Unity version for the Xbox 360 that I want to use but I need a hard modded console for it. That or a way to turn my unmodded 360 to a homebrew console. Can someone that sells a 360 reach out to me here? I don't know if I should ask here but I have no other place to go to right now. Meerjel01
  4. Hello all i have a 360 Controller that is just a standard usb (not Wireless). I tried to use a OG XBOX adapter to USB cable like the one here https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331804441332?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=csiq_HSJSIm&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=pkpdgvjyta-&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY im not getting any joy with no response. The controller lights up for 1 second circling the green disc shape in the middle. I don’t have a 360 so I’m happy to dissemble the controller and change the connectors to work with the OG XBOX. the only information I could find was this quote Xbox connectors are some proprietary USB offshoot.<BR><BR>Xbox 360 connectors are standard USB.<BR><BR> Neither is compatible with the other.
  5. Looks like since the OGX360 came out the Microsoft XBOX 360 PC receivers have skyrocketed in price. Do we have any other alternative? would rather not have to get a USB hub and 4 8BIT and 4 new XBOX controllers. All the alternatives seem to be a receiver only for 1 specific controller vs any 4 controllers, Ideas?
  6. https://www.ebay.com/itm/265197533417 Hey everyone, please delete if not allowed but I'm selling a custom modded Xbox 360 controller. I don't know too much about it, let alone what it's actually worth, but I'm sharing in case anyone wants to check it out. It has a nice aesthetic to it but I'm not sure if there's rapid fire or anything like that built in. I figured with the OGX360 becoming more popular and viable for different controller options on the OG Xbox and certain controllers either being hard to find in general or simply hard to find in good condition, I figured someone here might be interested before the auction ends. Thank you!
  7. Can i make component cables for the 360 out of them? Or will only 360 component cables work?
  8. Hi all, Please let me know if I did something wrong with my post, I didn't see a ton of rules about classifieds. I don't have a ton of experience with the OG Xbox, most of my time was spent back in the day on Xbox 360 mods but I acquired and kept these consoles over time, but don't need to hold onto them anymore. I know this is also my first post, so If anyone wants feedback for my accounts from eBay, se7ensins, Reddit, tcgplayer, timestamped photos/videos/video chats, whatever, let me know. First off is this debug kit. I know nothing about it other than it was opened at some point. I fired it up the other day and it sounds like a fan bearing is going out on it. Only interesting thing on it was the audio tool pictured. I know nothing about where the console came from other than it has two tags saying "MS ASSET #" with two different different numbers. I heard from the previous owner it came out of a studio in the Redmond area. $250 + ship Crystal Xbox with converted 120v power supply and X3 modchip. The previous owner said this is a European console they imported, swapped the power supply, installed an X3 modchip, and a 320GB hard drive. I just reflashed it today with the X3 BIOS and Avalaunch is configured as the current launcher. $250 + ship Here are two prototype Krypton Xbox 360 Controllers I have too. Not OGxbox, but I thought they may be of interest to some. I'm thinking $85 for the 1st with the better label and $80 for the 2nd one in slightly more used shape. Payment through Paypal preferred. Goods & Services works best, but please add fees according to https://thefeecalculator.com/ if going that route.
  9. Hello everybody. I'm new to Xbox 360 series but i used to play Xbox original for a long time. I brought 360 old (white one) with RROD and tried to fix but couldn't. It has a 20Gb HDD. then i brought a 360S (second hand again ) for a very cheap but did not get the controller and Hard disk. this supposed to be 250GB hard disk how ever i swapped with 360 old 20GB hard disk and it works fine at the moment. when i purchase xbox 360 s i got a game DVD - Sniper ghost worrier"and its works fine. after that i got NSF under cover but it throws me an error saying wrong region . when i check the covers and disks Both DVDs are PAL and when i insert that NSF CD in to my PC , it detected as NTFS DVD, both are original Xbox DVDs. what is the issue here? is i can see orange line of serial number sticker on back of my Xbox and is there any other way i can check DBD and console in which region also how can i swap a new HDD Thank you Chirath
  10. Mainly the titel says it. I git a 360 today (pls don't throw old eggs at me for that :D ) which included a 512MB and a 256MB MU and i wonder if it would be possible to get one of those working on an OG XBox. Looks like both have a 5 pin design so there can't be that much of a different (except for the little "spacer" in the middle)?
  11. Just picked up 3 defective Xbox 360s for $5. Hoping the RF boards will be good to connect 360 controllers to the og
  12. So I've figured out how to get games downloaded on a 360 to work on a real Xbox. You might be interested in this if you get the Games With Gold titles, since they've had some pretty good ones in the past like Mercenaries and some of the Star Wars games, and Destroy All Humans is available right now. Do note that since we're dealing with Xbox 360 Marketplace here, the only real way to get these onto your console is through buying and downloading them, so Piracy really isn't a thing here. To begin, you will need two Xbox 360 tools: GOD2ISO and velocity-master. You'll also need a USB drive big enough to hold your game. You'll also have to enable the "show hidden files" setting in Windows Explorer. Start by copying the game to your USB drive from the Dashboard. Plug the drive into your PC. Go to Content > 0000000000000000 and you will see several folders. I've attached a picture of Halo 1's folder layout. Open that extensionless file in GOD2ISO and save a place to save your ISO file. Then use Velocity to extract your ISO to a new folder. From there, you should be able to FTP the folder over to your Xbox and play the game.
  13. i know the drive from a 360 will not work with an og xbox but are there any parts from a 360 drive that would work? for example, would certain lasers like the SOH-DX1 from a 360 drive work in an og xbox drive that has the same model laser?
  14. Hi, bought the XBox 360 along time ago, not just for me but for my 2 new kids ... both boys. It was supplanted by a wonderful and powerful PC. But, now it is back on and the games still seem great. So, I have a new found desire to get the most out of this console. Glad I found this forum and hoping to learn from you all. Will contribute where I can. To start though - one of our discs is playing up and I just wondered what is the best approach apart from trying to polish the scratches out of the surface.??? My initial thoughts are to install a program to copy the disk to hdd. This should make it a little faster to load and more reliable for normal use. I see a progam called dvd2xbox was available but don't know if this is the best and only choice. Any advice will appreciated. Thanks to those who made this forum available and all members... Brett
  15. Hey Guys! Is there a way to Copy my save game files from my modded Xbox to my 360 with RGH (for backwards compatibilty) if yes: how can I do that? :)
  16. Hi guys, newbie to the forum. I've just ordered an Xbox One X and am now looking at a few games to go with it. Keen to buy Skyrim and Forza Horzon 3 (interesting contrast I know). The local game store has a deal for 4 Xbox 360 games for $20. Skyrim and Forza Horizon 3 are included in the deal, while their Xbox One counterparts are triple the price. So my question is, is it worth paying extra for the Xbox One version vs the 360 versions considering they are both "Xbox X enhanced"? Hope that makes any sense. Thanks to anyone with any advice &/or knowledge on the subject. Cheers
  17. Hello, I recently decided to mess with my recently purchase Xbox 360 development kit and i am having some trouble. I would like to get it set up to Xbox neighborhood and play debug games on it but Xbox neighborhood cant seem to find my system. If possible, could some one walk me through how to set up Xbox neighborhood, how to use it, and finally how to load debug games to it. just to clarify, my system is not a JTAG or RGH, it is an official dev kit so i dont know if the process between the two is much different. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Aidan
  18. I just got a 360 and am hoping to get my original Xbox games working. Thus far, only Halo will play. I tried Deathrow, Quantum Redshift, and Black Stone, but they won't run. I did think they were on the compatible list. This is a used console, so I don't know if maybe I am missing an update of some kind.
  19. So yes, guys that is my question, please help me here. I am trying to buy an original component xbox 360 cable, to then build an Xbox component cable (using a tutorial from the forum). I live in south america and buying internationally is not an option (2 to 3 months of wait). Could this be an original 360 component cable? Don't laugh if is not, it looks kinda of in bad shape, but it has a similarity to my composite cables for the OG Xbox. It the ONLY one I have found in my entire country (seller SAYS it's original):
  20. Will a 360 usb controller work on a OG Xbox? I see that the OG Xbox has a 5th wire labeled timing signals.
  21. Simply one of my skins for UnleashX. xboe_1_2019_F.rar
  22. not ogxbox related but surely there is a few rgh modders in the group decided to share my gerber for the community to order and enjoy b9bbcde2263011e999d9026a86b9cae7.zip
  23. Hi all, Long time modder and lurker, first time poster but I wanted to share a project I have been working on the last couple months. It is a small PCB which allows you to use Wireless Xbox 360 controllers (via the Xbox 360 USB Wireless Receiver) on an OG Xbox console. The design is loosely based on another similar project I did for the Nintendo 64 console https://imgur.com/gallery/HVLea3d Following the release of this board another forum user sent me an email asking if this device could be adapted for the OG Xbox, and funnily enough that was the next thing I was going to attempt! I wanted to support the following features atleast: Up to four players with rumble support. 100% USB Bus Powered so no external power supply needed. Fast bootup time, so it's up and running in time for the OG Xbox. Low input lag. As always, this is a hard thing to measure, however I can say that an OG Xbox controller is polled by the console every 4ms or so. My software gathers all the Xbox 360 wireless controller data, collates it and generates all the HID reports every 4 ms aswell. It's possible an input may miss this 4ms window, so would happen in the next 4ms window. As you probably know, an OG Xbox controller is basically a USB HID device, however it has some custom requests and other slight differences, meaning that it doesn't work on a Windows machine without a custom driver, and conversely a generic HID controller will not work in an OG Xbox so there was some work in getting a reliable and compatible solution working. To support four controllers, it is necessary to have 4x Full USB device controllers. However I imagine most people would rarely play with 4 people at once so my design is modular meaning you can support anywhere from one up to 4 players as required to keep cost down. This is a link to the github repo with what I came up with https://github.com/Ryzee119/ogx360 A link to my etsy store where you can buy one pre-assembled https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/672315615/ogx360-add-wireless-xbox-360-controller Cheers!
  24. Wondering if perhaps my DIY 360 component cable tutorial should be moved to the official tutorial section as it has more views than all of the official tutorials combined. I posted it in the hardware mods section originally.
