nm got it to work finally, just used xbemaker and pointed to correct f:\xbmc path. Don't know why I didn't try that first....

Hello, can anyone help with XBMC-emustation and coinops8 booting back to emustation dashboard? Yes I now CO8 is horrible. emustation boots up as default dashboard and I have added CO8 as a custom tile. Inside CO8 there is a dashboard function when you hit start, my old setup would take me to unleashX and I'd like it to return to emustation instead. I tried to copy the default.xbe from xbmc-emustation parent folder but I get error when selecting dashboard in CO8. XBC Fatal Error: Special://masterprofile/guisettings.xml, Line 0 Failed to open file

I ended up just doing normal softmod via MA and USB, this worked fine. Not sure why the disk/app wont launch with old softmod running but writing over it with rocky's worked fine this way.

Downloaded new iso etc, it doesn't freeze at the "Retail 5101 bios detected" anymore, now just sits at a black screen and the dvd light just flashes. This is the same thing it does when I use the DVD directly so I doubt using a different dvd drive is going to help

Is it working for you from the dvd or directly from dashboard? The image I have does work from dvd however my drive is jacked up so it doesn't fully load the extras (might just have to swap drives till it's converted). Running from applications is where it hangs up for me. I think I pulled this image down on Friday but will do it again just to make sure I have the latest.

I have the same issue.. one on a sid soft mod and one on rocky5's 1.1.7 mod as well. For the rocky mod I put the detacher application and the extras disc in the applications folder and launched it from there, that worked (found this info in the forum from rocky). This did not work for my sid modded xbox though, still stuck there. Trying to upgrade it to rocky's.
