True, it makes sense I guess. Especially if it's switchable so you don't lose compatibility.

The one I have looks like the one on the right but it says Aladdin Advanced. Is that a different variant?

I have a Rev 1.0 box, is there any obvious way of knowing if the clock cap has been done or if it's the original cap? As far as I can tell it's the same branding as the other caps

Is it worth having, I mean is there much which will take advantage of it? I'm assuming mostly homebrew.
