Update: Okay, I managed to get the MSDASH back into my C drive and succesfully updated to the newest version of emustation... I opened the msdash and when I click on Xbox live it will Starts emustation again...... ??

I discovered that an older version of xbox emustation is installed, so I downloaded a newer version, but my E-partition is nearly full (90mb free). So I cannot update it.... I copied the newest version of xbox emustation to the F-partition, but Im not sure how I can make this the default path... Also tried downloading Dashboard 5960 or something from the download page, but the same Issue... E-partition is full And ofcourse, internet is plugged in

Hey guys, I found out that there is this new Xbox Live insignia thing going on... Looks really cool, so I want to get my xbox ready. Since I nulled my Xbox HDD and it has an EvoX dashboard, I tought it was best to take another xbox which is softmodded using rocky5's emustation. I launched insignia's default.xbe and succesfully registered to insignia. Question1 : How do I open the original xbox dashboard? Insignia instructs me to perform a internet check I also read that I have to set internet settings to Dashboard.... If I do this then I dont seem to have any connection at all Question2: I don't have internet when I select internetsettings to dashboard. Why? Any help would really be appreciated! would be great to play xbox live with friends!!

The clone is from an softmodded xbox which I succesfully installed in one hardmodded system using the OGxbox installer disc to 'fix boot problems'. Now im trying to install one of these clones into a softmodded system. I have this adapter: http://www.techtesters.eu/pic/SHARKOONQUICK/414.JPG But I used hdguru's raw copy tool to clone. I have tried to put one of these clones into hardmodded system and first use ogxbox tools 2021 to fix boot problems before installing into softmodded system. Also tried multiple IDE SATA adapters ( I have 10, including startech), 80wire and 40 wired cables. I made some nice paint art too:

Heyy guys, Im playing around with some xboxes and some friends are trying to mod their xboxes too now... My friend has an xbox 1.6 from the Dutch navy He tried to softmod it, but it failed somehow... He turned it off/on and now Error 16 appears.... Can this xbox be fixed by installing a modchip?

The xbox im talking about is already softmodded. But after locking and installing a cloned HDD it boots to normal dashboard somehow.

Okay..... Now I have another question, because the hardmodded xbox console workes perfectly fine. But I would like to use 2 other clones to put in softmodded systems. I can boot softmodded xbox with my cloned HDD, but im not able to run OGXbox Installer 2021 to select Fix dashboard Boot problems... If I boot then I will get the Original xbox dashboard loaded up. I can play mechassault using Disc and get into nkpatcher etc... or Use FTP.. Unfortunately im not able to run burned discs... Question: Is there a possibility to start Fix dashboard boot problems from OGxbox installer in these circumstances?

Okay using OGXbox Installer 2021 fixed it What I did: Remove softmod -> Fix dashboard Boot problems -> Fix boot without Backup

okay, I burned OG installer Disc 2021 and Removed the softmod... still doesnt boot... Do I have to install some stuff now ? Trying to Fix emustation using the same disc. But so far its stuck at 0% copying.

Oh wow! I didn't even try, but that's very smart! It does start up games. I will try remove the softmod, can I also use the hexen disc? since that disc is already burned and ready to be used.

Yes it is very strange.... I was getting frustrated so I have performed a TSOP and xbox 2 has EvoX Bios now... I Took the HDD of the Fully working and stacked softmodded Xbox 1 and unlocked it using chimp again. HDD Xbox 1 unlocked into xbox 2, black screen after splash.....

Chimp gives this strange error when I click on 'LOCK' Slave HDD: Chimp also failed once trying to unlock the HDD. Error is at 1:24

After this just black screen for minutes (possibly forever) .

Yes, that's what I did. Sounds pretty solid, right? Is it really necessary to use xboxHDM23USB ? I checked it with Chimp. And there is no error code...

Hey guys! I Bought 3 xboxes. Softmodded them ALL to rocky5 emustation and Nulled the Harddrives. 1.I took 1 xbox to first upgrade to 500gb HDD and then I installed LOTS of Games and emulators. 2.I unlocked the 500gb HDD using Chimp 3.I used HDD Raw copy tool and made an uncompressed Raw file. 4.I took all 3 HDD's (all lockable WD BLUE) and cloned them using Raw Copy Tool. 5. Installed a cloned HDD into the First xbox and everything went fine. 6. I took Xbox 2 and Used Chimp to Lock HDD 2 7. I started Xbox 2, with 500gb Cloned HDD (on Master ofcourse), splash screen is slow and emustation won't load. What I tried: 1. Using different Sata adapters 2.Using different 40 and 80 wired cables 3.Getting the same partitions as the original HDD So... Im having Nulled Hdd's and im loading the EEPROM from the Motherboard of Each softmodded xbox. I was kind of surprised that this does not work, does anyone can help me (in the right direction)?

Yes, the xbox is softmodded and it is running the dashboard from rocky5 Xbox Softmodding Tool Extras Disc\Softmod\softmod files\ to USB The extra's disc was burned properly and succesfully used in other xboxes... I might didn't work because this a 1.6 version? Okay you are right it wasn't necessary to upgrade my dashboard to 5960. Okay your ISO and Attacher file totally fixed my problem!!! Thanks a lot

Hey guys, I've done 4 tsop hardmods in the past.. for myself and for some friends and we are still having a lot of fun with them! Now I picked up a new xbox and want to perform a softmod. I watched this tutorial : The tutorial doesn't mention that I have to update to dashboard 5960, so I guessed it wasn't neccesary anymore and I proceeded.... Now I installed a small softmod using the USB, but I cannot use the xbox softmodding tool extra's Disc because is doesn't recognise it and says the tray is empty. I tried to FTP the files to xbox. I launched the files, but it's stuck and says: "Retail Bios detected". So at last I tried to Uninstall my softmod.... But I cannot seem to find an option... I think there are 2 options: 1.upgrade my dashboard using FTP 2.Uninstal my current softmod and install dashboard 5960 using Halo 2 or whatever I do NOT know how to perform any of these options so all the help would be appreciated very much!!!

Okayyy so I downloaded the xbox origins and most of it works perfecly, But I got a backup of my savegames and I want to restore my savegames from my childhood. I made a backup using my OLD harddisk which was softmodded and used UnleashX to connect to my PC using ftp. Then I used XBSM45 Savegamemanager and succesfully downloaded all my savegames... Then I put the 2tb origins hard drive back in and used the same program, but now to restore / upload all the savegames... Now I cannot say it was a total faillure...because a lot of savegames are great! rollercoaster or gta san andreas for example... But other games like need for speed or rallisport challenge.. On these games I might see my username, but no scores or whatever... Does anyone know why this is?

hmmmm do you think it's necessary? because it's with all the 4 xboxes I own... It only changes when I change the ouput cable

okay... So it appears not to be the game.... the problem is in the output.. Im was using this component cable on this tv... Using the standard AV cable solves the problem, but ofcourse the quality of the screen goes down to 480p... Not what I want! Using the HYPERKIN HDMI cable makes the whole screen shake....| I already invested some money in a proper cable, but im not too succesful.... I consider buying a Pound cable for the tv and a Vbox 2 adanced for my pc... Strange thing is... I got this terrible cheap samsung tv.. and the hdmi happens to work a lot better on it.... soo that makes me doubt.. don't wanna waste more money on stuff that doesn't work..
