  1. It is possible to convert most Xbox PSU from 110V to 230V. In general, you have to replace caps on primary side, starting resistors and varistor. The best way to choose proper values of new components is to compare with 230V version.
  2. Xbox 110V and 230V power supplies are interchangeable (with respect to 3 motherboard groups 1.0-1.1, 1.2-1.5, 1.6). So your console should work fine after replacing PSU. Have you checked 110V PSU on different console? Are you sure you have proper PSU (1.2-1.5 and 1.6 has same motherboard connector but different wiring and standby voltage).
  3. I would only remove rubber cap under the sticker and put lubricant to the bearing. However don't expect much difference - if fan is loud it means the bearing is worn-out. Ring on the shaft is plastic and easy to damage, be carefull if you want to fully dissasembly this fan.
  4. Stock fan is very high speed type, that's why it is running only at 20% by default. Typical case fans have to run at 50-100% to keep similar air flow, but for quiet model it shouldn't be louder than stock fan. There are about 3 types of stock fans. One of them has a cap at the back, under the sticker. With cap removed you can lubricate the bearing or dissasembly it.
  5. double0zero, do you use multiple profiles? If not, you can enable auto login and profile select screen will be skipped.
  6. There is a bug in XBpartitioner which cause wrong cluster size sometimes. Need to be careful and check cluster size after formatting. I advise formatting with Chimp261812 or XblastOS. These formats extended partitions without issues.
  7. Don't know the background why it is working. Just found this trick somewhere and noted Glad that it helps you.
  8. If you have a problem with running Forza, try this trick: go to original MS dashboard (green one), open settings, language and change language to another one. Then reboot console. After reboot go to original MS dashboard again and change language back to your preffered. Try to run Forza.
  9. Error 05 means your harddrive is unlocked. If you don't have a backup, the only solutions are: read eeprom (Google Xbox eeprom reader) and lock harddrive on PC/another console install a modchip to bypass the error
  10. You can remove clock-cap in every 1.0-1.5 Xbox. It doesn't matter it is modded or not.
  11. There is a problem with reset on some SATA adaptors and Evox M8/M8+ bioses. The only solution I found is to change bios or change SATA adaptor.
  12. I always remove 6th pin of the pinheader for 1.6 Xboxes. They have 5V active in standby. If you leave this pin, Aladdin's LED will light all the time when console is plugged in. I think it's annoying. I also never ground D0, it's better to solder it to modchip's D0 point. When modchip fails, with grounded D0 console will FRAG, whereas with D0 soldered to modchip, console will boot from motherboard's bios.
