I'm boring just the same iND 5003.06 just like the modchip, what would you recommend I could try? Actually if I were to change to 5003.67 would I lose everything on my drive? Now that I have the the TSOP and modchip is there recommended way that they compliment each other like say a recovery method in case something goes wrong with either ? Or what are people doing with this type of setup?

Excellent these files worked and Xblast loaded so I was able to flash the TSOP which is a winbond 256kb chip according to Xblast if anybody wants to know. Thanks for all your help you guys, I don't now how it is you can figure this stuff out from where ye are.

Your files worked and it loaded Evo X but when I loaded into TSOP raincoat utility this came following came up. If I try using the flash bios menu it gives me this message after selecting the Bios to flash. Xblast causes error 21 even while trying to load it from Evo X under apps and so is XBMC if that helps?

Got my hands on the OGX installer 2021 latest version on here. Stuck in original 8gb hard drive formatted C and E. Crashed again with preinstalled softmod files each time I enter load checkpoint. Now I'm thinking it's hardly possible it's caused by game being PAL and my system changed to NTSC? What application had I used to change that setting? Found it, enigma it's called but that made no difference error 21 again. This is doing my head in, I'm ready to give up.

What is the best way to start fresh like formatting the original drive?

Would it be worth while putting in original stock drive and reformatting and starting over with that and then try?

Game is booting but when I go to start game select Linux as profile. Then I see check points or levels but nothing to select. If I select using A on check points black screen error 21.

Crash everytime I load the checkpoint in splintercell. I'm just thinking as I'm unable to boot from original bios as Xbox has 128 mb RAM installed does this mean the mentioned methods will not work? I'm booting from modchip into iND Bios 5003 which I've now managed to finally hold down with another type of screw and washer. Am I going to be able to access the onboard TSOP to flash it?

Ok my situation I believe might be different from the normal person. I already have a crappy solderless modchip that will not for some reason stay in place where I have to press it down to get it to work/read the bios. So say I have soldered my points and I'm ready now to flash the TSOP. If I boot my Xbox holding the chip down. Open Xblast while still holding the modchip down. Leave the modchip released and then flash? I'd imagine Xblast would try to flash the modchip rather then the TSOP? Would I need to softmod in order to TSOP? Just trying to understand and do the quickest way to TSOP flash.

I've always used Ind5003.06 with my modchip, I thought Ind5004... was buggy and could brick Xbox? Is it better to use .67 than .06? I know it relates to giving drive F and G but is it best to use one over the other and why?

@SS_Dave I'm taking your advice with the TSOP flash. So am I right in thinking in order to flash TSOP I just need to solder the points on the mainboard for 1.4 Xbox and use OGX 2021 installer by sweetdarkdestiny to install Bios to TSOP? Is there anything cruicial I'm missing or pitfalls to watch out for while doing it?

Great thanks for all your work on this installer @sweetdarkdestiny. I've been reading up on this now this looks exactly like I need in order to do my TSOP flash. My DVD burner was removed from my PC. Does anyone know is it possible to boot this from hard drive and perform TSOP flash from there or does it have to be from disc?

Finally I got all the RAM installed. Only problem now is that blasted spiderchip which I have press it down to boot the Xbox now. I do have a new Aladdin chip on the way with Xblast pre installed so I'll be soldering that in ASAP. I also have the N64 freak HDMI port to install in the box next. Any have this and was it easy enough to install?

Next RAM chip in area 1 is only successful around 50 % of the time not sure what's causing this again tried many times to reflow it.

Success on chip 4 resoldered using more new solder on the tip and wasn't afraid to keep dabbing rosin flux. Only 3 more to go...

I sourced the chips from Ali express from this seller https://a.aliexpress.com/_mMRCdWp comments/feedback section looked legit with successful installs. I do wonder are they even being registered by the Xbox as it does still boot the X box animation without mod chip activated, surely it should frag if RAM unsuccessfully installed.

Ok no I think I may have misled you there. What I meant is I've only installed the one RAM chip into the fourth RAM chip area on the board where I believe it's the most difficult area near CPU and GPU and there are lots of caps around it. I'll get pictures it's probably the easiest to show you. The 128mb RAM test in XBLAST has failed for all 4 chips. Another thing to note is I haven't put any extra solder on the pads or pins. I just aligned the chip, fluxed with rosin pen and soldered each of the pins.

Great thanks for the info on the lights. Right good news is I'm able to get the modchip working again. I think the D0 was pushed too far into the via or maybe I was pushing the modchip down too hard. 128MB test failed for all 4 chips. I've now checked the chip and tried reflowing I don't know how many times at least 5 times now. What I'm thinking of doing next is taking the chip off and trying a different one from scratch. Another thing I'm thinking is removing solder from 2 via holes I left under the RAM as I couldn't remove them. Is solder in via holes gonna cause issues?

The Spiderchip(solderless) only has 256kb single bank and I made sure to flash xblast prior to carrying out upgrade. Initially it did load before I reflowed ram. Only thing now is I'm having to hold the chips pogo pins down over the lpc holes as it's a very difficult chip keep aligned. Wondering if I've damaged the modchip by putting too much pressure on it's top side. I wonder if without the modchip in place is it a good sign to have the normal boot up x box logo but then get customer service 07 error code? Just to note while testing I don't have either the hard drive or DVD drive connected and I believe 07 error code is the error code for that. Thought I read somewhere that old method before xblast was to have an orange/green flashing light and would indicate a RAM/CPU issue?
