He sent it back. It's with me. Traces are all fine. I can try another chip for sure... No error Code. Just 3 times on/off, red/orange.

Hey guys, sold one of my chipped boxes, shipped her properly and she worked before, now we have the 3 times start and then red/orange flashing. All solderjoints were resoldered without and change in behaviour ... Any ideas ? Dead ?
-
I have 5 fragging XBOXes left, in which I already installed Modchip but that didn´t change a thing at all. I guess the boxes are just dead.

Ok thanks. So next Box problem. Error 13 & 16. Drive is locked. When I try to mount it the HDD in another Box as slave drive with Chimp I get serious I/O errors. I cannot boot from disc in the box , before booting I get the 16 or 13 Errors. I just chipped the box. Any ideas ?
-
Thank you. I always buy broken and neglected boxes and try to put new love into them.
-
Ok, so apparently this one has a bad RAM Chip and I haven´t got the hardware to replace it.

I bought 10 used xboxes and I would love to resurrect them. Maybe you could help out as the most sites are down that contain proper information about the OGXBOX. First one tries to boot 2 times, the red/orange flashing. I soldered a Aladdin XT on it, the Modchip flashes red as well, but no change in behaviour ... Any ideas ?

Cleaned everything. It really was the R3G3. The Resistor is fine , but anyhow the solderjoints got bad. Resoldered it, done. Box works. Thank you very much for your help !!!
-
I guess I got it. R3G3 measures with 50mOhm ?! Shouldn´t it be 10k ?
-
It´s a little weird. When I plug it in, it starts. When I hit the power button shorter than 3 seconds , nothing happens. When pushed more than 3 seconds, the box powers off but doesn´t react anyhow to the power button. Traces are corroded but they are still intact, no short circuit. Cleaned the whole board with alcohol.
-
I honestly don´t remember if the box was fine before. When I unplug the whole yellow cable it will still boot straight up. When I unplug the chip, still the same problem.
-
Yes, no short circuit.

Just checked. Only on the bottomside some residue from the clock capacitor. Definately some corrion on the traces at the bottom but all traces are 100% good for continuety. What else could it be ? Cleaned everything properly.
-
Awesome, will check that properly. Thank you very much...
