PixelFx should have support added to the Retro Gem soon. I'm definitely looking forward to that.

Awesome news! Turns out that the new kits don't work without Stellar so that's why mine isn't working. Sorry folks, gonna have to buy our $100 chip if you want HDMI....

Same problem here. No power LED on the board. I'm using one with Openxenium. Kit arrived a couple days ago.

Thanks! Will check this out.

Console5 is great for caps depending if you are located in the US. You can get a whole set for many retro consoles https://console5.com/store/microsoft-xbox-original-cap-kit.html

Always check for the latest beta release if yours stops working. The Beta is free and the paid version with trial is very outdated. They are constantly updating the program which is awesome.

Startech is the only way to go from my experience. I've had nothing but problems out of other IDE SATA adapters.

I'm guessing CCI will not work with Project Stellar chips?

OpenXenium is great if you have some basic soldering skills.

I have found with the Sims 2 it will crash at the character creation screen when using xbmc4gamers. Using Unleashx it does not have this issue.

The caps can be a pain to remove without a desoldering gun, even with one they can still be tricky. I always add fresh solder to them before using the gun. Have to hold it on there for a little bit longer than usual to get it all to melt due to the board's thickness.

What size is the hard drive? Were the cluster sizes set up correctly? I had an issue with 4x4 Evo 2 locking up at the intro and it was because of incorrect cluster sizes for my hard drive.

Startech IDE to SATA adapter is the best adapter you can get when upgrading. Also, be sure to get the 80 wire IDE cable. There are a few sellers on ebay that sell them. Search for 80 wire IDE xbox and it should come up.
