It won’t work when I attach a Samsung dvd drive but it works with the philips dvd drive that I took from my green Xbox - really need a link to some good 80 pin ideas cables - thanks

Bought 3 yellows ones on eBay - all garbage - can someone tell me where to buy ones that actually work? Sitting in front if a modded 500gb SATA original Xbox that I can’t play on a bank holiday weekend is disappointing - any help greatly appreciated.

It works with philips dvd drives but Samsung’s return error 11 unless I keep pressing the eject button until The word ‘Microsoft’ appears then it works - any ideas? Thanks

Upgraded to SATA drive - using 80 pin and Startech Ide to Sata - have the Startech on cable select - after the clubbed I get error 11 - tried master as well - cable loads older 250 ide cable - I’d say the adapter but I locked the drive using h it in an ok’d ide pc and it worked fine - I’m totally stumped and would really appreciate your expert advice - thanks!

I have tried to copy an iso from my windows 10 pc using both Filezilla and FlashFXP but to no avail. It stops during the transer.
On my computer it shows a single iso file but in both filezilla and flahsfxp it shows the samefile name with 2 isos. I always go with the larger one wrhich is over 7.2gb but once it reaches 4gb exactly it fails to transfer the file - what is going on? It's years since I transferred a single iso - any help greatly appreciated.

Can I swap a cable from an official S controller and a Duke. I can solder so was thinking I could open my Duke as the lead is snagged - still working perfectly. I was planning on cutting the wire just inside both controllers and then soldering the non frayed wires from the 'S' to the Duke. Has anyone tried this? Should I just leave well enough alone? Thanks

In reply to my own question - I went and bought a third party controller today - a lovely blue one can confirm that it works perfectly with both Coin Ops 8 and Coin Ops Massive.

Hi - are 3rd party controllers compatible with Coun Ops 8 and Massive or is it better to stick with an original controller?

Is the only benefit the noise factor? That would be enough to sway me as long as using an ssd doesn't deteriorate the drive.

it’s also an application now so you get to pick where you install it.
as for the list you see you need to change the view type to detailed (menu > UISettings)

Just use Rocky 5 - it will update your softmod and your files should stay intact - I updated an old SID softmod with Rocky 5 to null the drive and everything was still intact afterwards - it was really quick to update too. Good luck!

I just installed xbmc emustation and it looks great. I am only going to use it for my original xbox games that I have already installed on the hard drive. The only problem I have is that I don't have any artwork for my games - instead I see a list of games when I click into the xbox folder. In the menu there is an option called 'Xbox games artwork installer' but nothing happens when I select it. Any idea on what I'm doing wrong - I'm not familiar with xbmc - first time using it as I always used my xbox for coin ops but I recently purchased a second xbox with games I used to play back in the day such as Black and Burnout 3 Takedown.

I have very badly scratched games and want to create backup disks. It took me quite some time to repaid Colin Macree 04 to work on DVD2XBOX - finally after using magic eraser I managed to get the xbox to read the disk and extract the ISO using DVD2XBOX - however - when I went to copy the ISO to my pc - it turns out there is an ISO just over 4GB and another ISO just over 2GB - any idea why there is 2 ISOs? Thanks

Okay so problem solved - probably a quicker way to do this but I connected the 500GB to my pc and unlocked it using HDM V1.9 as I had a backup of my original eeprom. Took the unlocked drive - set it as slave - and hotswapped it using Chimp. Locked the slave drive using TEAMASSEMBLY password as that is the password that appears when you null your drive (Rocky 5 Disk Utility). I then set the jumper to cable select and booted it up in the xbox and now its working perfectly. I have access to all the games on my 500GB drive. Thanks for all the help guys.

Solved -by using this method:
1. Inserted Rocky 5 Extras disk and installed xbox partitioner V1.3 from the Advanced apps folder to the C drive
2. Ran xbox partitioner from the xbox menu
3. Scrolled down to the first line under 'Extended Partitions' and pressed B to show the full amount of space available
4.Press Start and then Y in the menu (be quick with pressing 'Y')
5. It should mention cluster and format at the bottom of the screen.
6. Restart the xbox and the extra space should be there - if its not then repeat steps 3-5 again.
I just posted this in case anyone ever has the same problem. Thanks.

I have a softmodded xbox and upgraded to a 250GB drive. I used Chimp 261812 - I cloned the C and E drive and selected the option for the F drive to get all unallocated space in the program. Problem is that the F drive only has 123GB ( both C and E have just over 4gb respectively) so I seem to be missing quite a few gigs - any ideas? Thanks

I successfully unlocked a hard drive with 500GB worth of xbox games and emulators on it. Now I want to lock it using the eeprom from my xbox so I can install it. I unlocked it using HDM V1.9 - I also have a second console if I need to use chimp. Any help greatly appreciated.

I accidentally nulled a stock Xbox - I forgot I had a 500gb drive locked to the original eeprom - I still have the original eeprom backed up - is there a way to:
1. To the original eeprom to the Xbox
OR
2. Null the eeprom on the 500gb drive
I have an ide pc and HDM v1.9 if that helps?
