Well today I open it up and played whats in the box! And I am pretty sure I have a 1.6b motherboard Hitachi disc drive model: GDR-8050L WD 160 GB HDD Hynix RAM Im not sure what the Mod chip is, hoping you guys can identify it for me in the attached pics.

Production date 2005-01-24 serial last 5 are 50505 So I am thinking a 1.6b. This does make sense as my first 2 Xbobx's were stolen and I remember buying a new one, getting the mod chip installed and then shelving it. So my box is pretty much unused.

Should I replace the cap or just remove it?

Hi All How can I find out what model motherboard is in my box? Do I have to open it up or can this information be found in the OS somewhere? I have an older copy of EvoX Thx
