You didn't install Surreal64 from the downloader menu. That's why you are receiving this error.

Also a good advice, if the console is softmodded, set the video region to ntsc so you can enable 720p/1080i. Makes the console look a lot better on modern TV's. Another great but expensive mod would be the HDMI mod by N64Freak. That gives you the best picture that's possible.

What i meant with instant is that i don't have those crazy long hangs. It just shows the boot logo > instant xecuter rox my box after> Goes into UnleashX. Takes about 15-20 secs total.

I'm using a cheapo adapter and my boot times are faster then the startech. I'm not sure if you are using a 40 pin cable, but the cheapo's do not like them. 80 pin is required for sure. 80 pin in general avoids crosstalk and makes sure the ide signal is much cleaner. in combination with the cheapo adapter and my WD Green 2TB drive, it makes the xbox boot instantly.

Did you create a single 1700gb partition or 2 900gb ones? The OG xbox becomes unbearably slow with a 128kb cluster partiton. So make sure to use 2 900GB partitions instead of one 1700gb one.
