Got this xbox almost for free, but the screen flickers really bad(horizontal-ish), it does work but it was hard to see anything on screen. Checked the inside and there are 3 caps near the cpu that started to give up(top part of caps is not flat anymore). Had a spare part pcb(1.6) and took caps from that and placed in this one. It Worked! The xbox is back and up and running - no more screen flicker!. Pcb is a 1.4, and clock cap's gone..

Hello If i have bad capacitors on a xbox pcb, can i use ok ones from another xbox pcb, or is it best to buy new ones?

A few days a go i soft modded my nephews xbox, witch was fun! And this ended up in me buying 3 used xboxes from a lokal store/café. The xboxes i got are working to some degree. So now i will see if i can restore 1 or 2 of these machines... I've use to have a xbox years ago but sold that one off for whatever reason at the time.
