  1. Have you seen this version? https://github.com/Kekule-OXC/LPC2LCD Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  2. That inductor is connected to the transistor Q2F1 and Q1U1 and it's job is to reduce 5 volts down to 1.7 volts based on the resistor network R2E2,3,4,5,6,7,9,11 next to the CPU. I would highly suspect the two reducers are also toast along with the four ram chips. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  3. It's not a flat battery and the meter is not lying!! This meter is around $1100Aud And the Oscilloscope still fetches $600 to 800Usd Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  4. You trying to add to your post count Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  5. The Xbox main board is a 3 layer design and ripping the caps out would have damaged the middle trace. If you really want to know that inductor (L2F1) is the 1.7 volt supply to the CPU/GPU Your Motherboard is toasted Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  6. If it was here I would have a go at repairing it but for 98% of Game console modifiers I think it's well above there pay grade. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  7. Remove the chip clean the board then fit a mod-chip is the easy fix. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  8. I am suggesting you try the Cerbios 2.2.1 beta It works with single HDD sizes up to 8tb, supports up to UDMA5 data speeds, Xbox Insignia compatible, works with all versions of Xbox (1.0 - 1.6) and more Here is a copy. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zT7xiaHzlfu40-FXtqRXPGTu722YdRAa/view?usp=share_link Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  9. If you put all the required files for a soft modded drive on the new HDD I suggest you have a look at this tutorial as you can build a hard drive that you can drop in you Xbox on your PC and aslong as you have a copy of the eeprom on your PC then this program can lock the hard drive as well https://www.hazeno.com/og-xbox-hdd-upgrade Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  10. If the version of bios doesn't support a 2tb hard drive that nothing will work and some of the Evox bios files that are out there only support up to 160gb hard drives. Flash the mod chip with the Cerbios 2.2.1 beta as that will support up to a 8tb hard drive and works on all versions of Xbox. Here is a copy and make sure you have a look at the readme file I would use the " Cerbios Hybrid V2.21 BETA UDMA4 " https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zT7xiaHzlfu40-FXtqRXPGTu722YdRAa/view?usp=share_link Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  11. Are you using a 80 wire IDE cable? The statech brand of sata2ide has a set of 4 jumpers and it needs to be linked on master. Where did the evoX bios come from? or was it the one on the chip from factory? Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  12. I use Xblast to flash the DuoX2 chips. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  13. It could be the switch (red circle) try moving it several times or you could try linking the two contacts ( yellow arrows) Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  14. Try holding the power button for a second or two and if possible upload some pics of the install of the mod chip will help. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  15. Windows XP is not a issue as I still have a PC ( P4 3ghz with a huge 3gb of ram) running with XP that is needed for some of the two radio programming I use. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  16. That's where I got this one from about 6 or 7 years ago and one day I might get around to fitting it.. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  17. I have several boards with some warpage around the GPU heat sink bracket and as long as the heat sink doesn't move I don't worry and especially as the stock thermal substance holds the heatsink like glue. The 1.4ghz boards I have from N64freak have the heat sinks glued on to the CPU and GPU, so no brackets. In the pic I posted earlier that Xbox was on for a maximum of 1.5 minutes and the reason for the HDD reading 35c is it's in a AV cupboard . The OG Xbox doesn't have a temperature sensor in the GPU anyway so unless you have fitted a temperature probe to the heat sink you have no way of knowing and high reading is just a version 1.6 thing. 18. It's called Blackbolt_s on EvlolutionX Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  19. Best to post a pic of the heat sink bracket The 1.6 boards report a higher temperature as well. This is 1.6 and the two pics where taken about 45 seconds apart, The hard drive temperature is correct and there is no way the MB( System) temp could rise that quick Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  20. What?? Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  21. What does it read when connected to a Xbox. 3.9 is to low and to power up the PSU you need to supply a 3.3 volt to the PowOn pin. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  22. The two X3CP's I have here I would need to add the ir receiver and then add a remote turn on/off circuit board to make that work Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  23. Use a file manager and have a look on C drive for a program called xboxdash.xbe and run that. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  24. The latest bios that works on all versions of Xbox is the Cerbios 2.2.1 beta I supports up to 16TB of storage and UDMA5 (Compared to UDMA2) with the right adaptor and 80wire ide cable. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  25. You are welcome and that's for posting that you have now got it sorted. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
