  1. Postage from US to UK is like $17USD, so if you buy 1 it’s kind of pricey. The repair cords weigh 4oz. Pretty sure that $17 cost is up to 15 ounces. The modchips are like 1 oz and the ide is 2oz. So if you can bundle a few things it gets absorbed. Shopify’s international shipping options are a bit limited too. If you want to dm a list of what you could use I can try and get a better rate. I do this for fun and to fund other parts for the hobby, happy to try and make it work better.
  2. dragon is at least configured and has a boat load of content. The dashboard looks nice but it's very slow and clunky, not the fault of ToniHC for that, but i can't deal with the UI. The origins dump is a hacked up version of Joshes old 2016 build and has all hdd ready foldered games, many of which need to be replaced. If you are downloading an image for content, i'd go with either the dragon DL or better yet grab Hazeno's CCI set and build your own XBMC4gamers setup. You'll learn a lot in the process and it's a supported dashboard with some cool themes and all the artwork stuff you'll need to get it running.
  3. Hi Again, just wanted to share a link to a custom IDE cable. this is an ultra-ide cable made to the length and connector spacing of the original cable. no more awkward twisting/folding, and the blue connector actually goes in the motherboard this time. There are bulk packs available also. As always, international buyers, beware that shopify can generate some crazy freight prices. Sometimes it IS just that expensive to ship from the US, but often there are 3rd party shipping alternatives and i'm happy to help you sort those out directly. I'm in the process of trying to integrate a 3rd party shipping service to the site to help make it easier all around. https://gameroomcustoms.com/products/custom-80-conductor-ide-cable
  4. Hi everyone, i still have plenty of stock on custom jafar chips. By default i set these up with xblast OS but i can certainly flash PromotheOS onto the SST chip. Just shoot me a message here or via email on the store site and i'll be happy to customize. Also international buyers (Im USA based). Sometimes the freight is nutty, contact me and I can often find better rates using 3rd party shipping (not via shopify). Tracking will be updated and provided via the store but i've found this really helps people out who are getting a few items at a time. https://gameroomcustoms.com/products/jafar-modchip
  5. I'll have new stock in very soon on a 6 pin version of this cable. It's been in production for a while. International shipping is available but shopify doesn't always give the best option for freight. Anyone outside the US, please contact me directly. I'm happy to get custom freight quotes and try to make it work.
  6. Shipping is variable so I’m sure it’s close to the same. I run in bunches, run out, wait awhile and then post some more.
  7. Hey guys, just wanted to let you know the store has some new inventory on xblast chips. https://gameroomcustoms.com if you have any questions, please let me know!
  8. Easy to do, either use a duplicate copy of ms dash on E with the xbe named default, or a shortcut pointing to the on C, shortcut named default. Then drop your resources folder in that dup or shortcutted folder.
  9. default.xbe is inside the Xiso along with whatever other folders the game has. So basically the xbe is pulling whatever assets are along side of it. The Attach file to launch an xiso or compressed file is just mounting the game with the virtual drive. The XBE naming that's saved to that attach is what you are seeing displayed on your xbox, or what is recorded in the DB for xbmc if you use that.
  10. Nice, the source may be of use/guidance to what your doing. It's really underappreciated by the group who benefits the most from it right now. That fact that you can't even talk about it on the MM discord channel is a whole other level of crazy. I'm 5 or 6 weeks into waiting for a response to the "review" that will seemingly never happen lol. I just feel bad for the people putting all this personal time into building something that's been done before because of some weird beef MM has with other groups doing stuff open source and free. Good luck with what your working on though, at the very least enjoy the journey.
  11. Repackinator already does this and it’s better imho. oh and it’s open source.
  12. I’ve already redrawn the xenium logo on vector format, so I can do variations, including an extra skin for your Ice version is you wish. As far as design goes is there a certain color scheme you guys want? Do you want this to be open xenium or just xenium?
  13. is this flex double sided? May make installing easier?
  14. I attempted this the other night but will have to run the test again. I have a small stack of 1.6 boards that i had done the LPC rebuild and confirmed working when chipped. I pulled one out, removed the clock, the 2 resistors, and ran the standby wire. When i went to power the xbox, my pata adapter LED indicator flashed for a second, but no power to the board. I then put the clock cap back on, and the 2 resistors and the xbox now powered back up, but i was getting a power/cycle frag. I removed the rebuild and LPC header and put a new set on, now the unit is working as it should. Obviously i had a fault rebuild, but curious as to why the xbox did not frag in the same fashion with this mod in place. I'll retry this in the next day or two and report back. Has anyone else tried and confirmed this working?
  15. Here is what i would do. XBMC on the root of E, rename that folder to "dashboard" . This will satisfy your stellar requirement. Now - Download this here: and place on C. This will be the hardmod "dashloader xbe" (named evoxdash.xbe) and a folder called dashloader. https://github.com/Rocky5/Xbox-Softmodding-Tool/tree/master/Extras Disc/Hardmod/dashloader In that dashloader folder, there is a custom_dash.cfg file. Edit that file in notepad and change the path to E/Dashboard/default.xbe. Now when using Cerbios your default settings will look for the evoxdash.xbe file on C and dashloader will point to your dashboard location.
  16. I've been on the discord a while. There was one or 2 small references about something being developed for it, but otherwise it has been very tight lipped. Other comments inferred that it was not going to be inexpensive either. We'll all have to wait and see. Right now the project's focus has been getting things working. What i'd like to see is the legacy bios support (via sd card) in concert with at least XISO's being enabled (even if CISO is further down the line). Then at least the chip would provide a means of testing the main stellar patched bios compared to other legacy bios' if there happens to be any games with issues (M8, Ind, cerb which are all xiso ready if you will). As of now testing cross projects is a matter of chip swapping, and that isn't idea. Be great to just leave the stellar on there and do it all from there. Legacy format support was the first real major hurdle (for me) that is now working properly.
  17. There isn't any known repo, at least that i'm aware of for these themes. I did see one guy make a cool OG dash type theme on discord and he was generous to share the files, but that's the only theme i've seen aside Rocky's or mine. Actually i think NES theme was from a user (JB). Other than that though, nobody has given the files so they can be hosted there. out of curiosity, what is it that you're after? Just something different? Anything specific? I'm happy to lend a hand. If more people made them, there would be more options :). Downloader is working again, there were some updates over the last couple months, and the themes needed to be updated to be compatible with the latest gamers. It should all be working now.
  18. Thanks man, Download the theme off the repo, the tracks are baked in so you can pull them from */extras/themes/playlists, and the tracks should be inside the folder.
  19. Hi all, just checking in to let you know that a new theme was just wrapped up. If you use XBMC4Gamers you can download and drag/drop to your build. This theme (like the others i've done) will be found on the downloader. It's not there yet, but the files can be found here: https://github.com/Team-Resurgent/Resurgent-Skin-XBMC4GAMERS. On this build i added additional root/programs menu icons so hopefully will cover most of the categories you guys use. Folder names supported when you add source. 128MB Ram Apps/Applications Arcade Collections Dash/Dashboard/Dashboards Demos Emulators Games Homebrew Movies PC Games Ports (uses same icon as PC games) Proto/Prototypes Ram Xtras (uses same icon as 128MB Ram) Vault (uses same icon as Collections) here is also a video preview for you.
  20. Couple of basic things to check - 1) is the xbe file in your game named default.xbe or has the name been altered? 2) Is that game duplicated on the drive, for example, if have F/Games and G/Games sourced, but you have 2 copies of the same title, it can do funny things like what you describe. 3) The artwork installer is looking at the default.xbe in the folder, it pulls the title ID from that file, than marries that to the zipped up artset for that game. A common reason that this wouldn't work is either of the 2 reasons listed above, or you have a weird prototype version of the game that doesn't have a title ID that matches up with any art set.
  21. I've also added some bulk options with some savings per piece. 10X, 20X and 30X. You can find the listing at my shopify gameroomcustoms.com.
  22. Hi Everyone, i'm currently offering these replacement cables in an effort to bring back to life as many original xbox Microsoft branded controllers as possible! This cable includes a 5 pin connector so it has all of the data lines that the xbox cable uses. It's a simple replacement, just de-solder the existent pin connector, and put this in it's place. This is a full length cord, includes the breakaway, ferrite cores, strain relief etc. It can also be used as a replacement on most (maybe all) of the cheap aftermarket controllers if you want to be able to use sit further from your monitor/TV. The new connector inserts vertically, the old one lays on it's side, this has no effect on the shell. There is one other difference i will point out for complete transparency. The original xbox controller uses 5 data lines, and has 1 chunky stranded line of shielding that is soldered as a 6th pin. These do not have that 6th pin. For comparison, the cheap aftermarket controllers use 4 pins in their wiring (missing the yellow wire), have no breakaway cable, and are only 5-6 feet in length. These ship from the US, and currently listed at $5.99 per cable. I do have a shopify store for easy payment options, but will not link that here until i have permission to do so. If you are interested, please drop a comment and feel free to PM me. Bulk rates are an option, just have to figure out the best method of shipping whatever qty it is you may be interested in.
  23. well it seems i've got it working on both the aladdin and the Jafar. Turns out it was the motherboard of the xbox. It seems if the board has any trace issues, even ones that aren't noticeable this can cause it to not boot properly. Maybe there are other factors as well but i was able to get it working as designed with 4 or 5 other boards during my testing. Ill leave this up in case in helps anyone out.
