Exactly what I did last night. Working great. I pulled out my 2nd OG so I can clean it up and update it. This one has a Xenium chip and a module (anyone remember the name?) that allows the console to be powered on/off via the DVD remote.

Thanks. I was able to flash CerBIOS via my dashboard. Now I just need to get XBMC4Gamers running (didn't look into that yet). Sounds like I will also need to look into the .cci library. No point in getting a huge drive if it's not necessary.

Thanks Kaos. Sounds like CerBIOS would be my choice as I would like to put a huge HD in. I'm guessing it's not on any of the current flasher discs. What's the best method for manually flashing?

No but it's on my list. Looks ok visually but plan on removing anyway. I found my modchip, Xodus Matrix. Still not sure what bios would be best. Matrix_ManualV1.1.pdf

Hey everyone, just dusted off my chipped OG unit and I'm looking to update the bios (if there are benefits?) and dashboard (looking for something that has nicer interface than my current). Fairly certain I have a 1.1 motherboard (followed this). I've attached some pictures of my dashboard info and modchip (Shows Executer2 below Xbox animation when booting). Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.
