I will take what Jailer is saying regarding definitions and what to look for. As when i hear things like "flash", i am thinking EPROM. Gonna start reading up on the definitions, but TBH i have heard the xbox was originally just a dell laptop they MS modded to run game on. Any truth to this? Sorry if i am side tracking, just a kid in a candy shop right now. Swooming... Don't mind me ^^;;

Hope the scene always exists, the right to repair and mod should be protected, as these companies would prefer us paying though the nose every year for new kit, while landfills get bigger....

Hello everyone! i am an engineer by trade and currently working towards cybersecurity certs. Hardware hacking seems to be a big part of the pen testing scene, and a friend recommended that i try xbox hacking as a starting point, as it could then develop my taste for the grind that comes with learning hacking. Right now just looking around for tools and the like to try out and get used to, any recommendations are welcome.
