  1. EA controller came in today, can confirm that it DOES work with the green receiver
  2. I will have a definitive answer to this question in about a week, as I recently repaired a green receiver and am waiting on a white EA controller to arrive from ebay. will report back what I find
  3. @bolofski - looks like they did follow the standard. a user on reddit hooked me up with this pic of his board. I got mine rewired and it's showing up as a controller in xbmc-emustation's system info page and the memory card reader is functioning. I just purchased a controller from ebay and I suspect it should sync up. thanks again for your reply!
  4. While I do appreciate the general info, I read in my research last night that even official microsoft controllers have different wiring patterns for even the same model controllers. from what I gathered, the smaller microsoft wired controllers can have the shield adjacent to the black on some models and on the far side from it on others. but, if anyone could take the time to pop the 3 screws out, remove the cover, and snap a pic of the wires attached to the board, that would be fantastical. I just don't want to wire it up wrong and kill what could have been a working receiver and I've been unable to find any solid info on this particular model.
  5. I have looked at the pictures here: https://web.archive.org/web/20080806115717/http://www.onlinexbox.org/tut/wirelesscontroller/ particularly this image: but none are quite clear enough for me to feel comfortable going ahead with the soldering.
  6. I have a Logitech X3B18 receiver that has had the usb cable removed (not by me, I just got it like that). If anyone has an intact receiver, could someone tell me the order that the wires go into the board, oriented with the J1 label facing front and on the right as pictured?
  7. not sure about the logitech controllers and receivers, but the Mad Catz 4586 controllers will sync up with other 4586 dongles.
  8. I've run into a similar issue on my 1.4 with an aladdin xt clone. while the disk formats and shows all available space, I'm unable to copy files over once I hit about 120gb, even though there's still plenty of space showing available on the partition
  9. I got an xbox v1.0 motherboard with an xecuter 2.3 pro modchip that was not working. I took it apart and found the d0 wire was loose, so I resoldered that connection and hooked everything up and the system ran fine for about 4 hours, at which point I powered everything down and went to bed. this morning I go to power on the unit and the blue lights on the modchip light up and the fans spin for a second, but no lights on the front panel and nothing else happens. the capacitors on the power supply and near the psu connector on the motherboard all look fine. not sure what else to check, so any help would be appreciated. Also, the clock cap was removed before I got the xbox, presumably when the modchip was originally installed VID_20220223_031845379.3gp
