hello dave. nah it wasnt the factory bios. i flashed it myself. yes im using a 80 pin ide cable. the adaptor i was using before did have jumpers. the new 1 i have dosent have any at all. all i no the hexen boots up with the stock HD. so im a bit puzzled as it could be the adaptor. it wont even read original xbox games.

Decided to do a clean install on my 2tb drive. Inserted the hexen disc and it wont read. It just keep booting up into xbmc4gamers. So i decided to take the drive out and format it on the pc using fat xplorer. Now im getting error 13 or somtimes error 14. when connected back up. So i popped in the hexen disc and it wont read. Evo x shows in the corner and error comes up straight away Now the weird thing As soon as i plug my stock drive back in which the ide standard drive. Yes the ms dashboard loads and then starts reading the hexen disc. im using the 80pin cable open xenium chip sata adaptor has no jumpers Can any 1 explain what im doing wrong Before i moded the xbox i was using a jumpered ide to sata adaptor. my new 1 doesent have any jumpers. Could it be i need a startech adaptor

i managed to lock the hd. so it all ok now. boots into ms dash. but when i plug in the mod chip. i get the flash screen. flashed with the xecuter bios. but when i switch the console off and on i get the same screen again telling me to flash it

hello. i just gave up with the modchip. so it is ok the put that hd in my moded 1. lock it and put it back in the unmoded 1

So after installing the mod chip and uninstalling the mod chip. the hard drive i forgot to lock. now im getting error 5 means it needs locking. i do how ever have another modded xbox. can i put the hard drive in the modded 1 . lock it using the tools and put it back in the unmoded console again any help please. just need to get it locked again

Hello people. i managed to fix the traces and install the xecuter2 modchip which i had spare. switched it on with the switches in correct position and im getting a bios flash screen. now the funny thing is now. when i switch the chip off via the switch. i fort it would boot into the ms dash board. which it dosent. the console switches on but nothing comes on the screen. so now the flashing. i dont have no blank dvds to install the bios. only way is to ftp into the console. i did try and quickly ftp into it using a normal ethernet cable plugged in to my network splitter but it wont connect. do i need a user name and password. been so many year i cant even remember is this chip working properly well atleast is it supossed to be doing what its doing cheers people

Hello people. managed to pick up a very very cheap xbox. only paid a 10 quid for it but its mint. only thing it switches on automatically when its plugged in. i did check for traces and 1 is gone but i will jump these when my wires come. clock cap his been desoldered but 3 power caps are gone which ive ordered and will change was going through some old stuff and managed to find my xecuter v26 CE. i had this for years and luckly i still kept it. replaced this with X3 so i kept the old 1 now my questions. will this work on my 1.4 will it need reflashing as i cant even remember what bios was on it (been so many years) i have all the wiring, fresh as in never been installed. does any 1 have a guide on how to install. i think 3 wires just need soldering. as my X3 was a solderless install and of course if i do need a reflash, can any 1 suggest a good bios CHEERS GUYS. MUCH APPRCIATED

ive downloaded all the games which is 2 terabyte (torrent on aracde punks) installed half of the games on E: and half on F: installed xbox artwork installer, however its scans all games from E: drive and F: drive. But the F: drive game covers wont show up. please help as is coming up with blank images

Finally working bro. Used hexan. Split partitions and then went back 1 like the guide above on youtube. Then went back in and pushed it up 1 and wrote partitions. All working. Thanks so much

Yes mate. It was disabled. Ive enabled that now. Do install hexen now.from dvd

My modchip is a xecuter 3

Ive just tried partioning a ide 320gb drive and the same probs arise. Split and when i restart the partion deletes and becomes 1 drive. I domt have a bios installed. Could that be the problem

Ok ive just tried with a 2.5inch 1 TB drive. Tried splitting in 500gb portions so drive F is 498 gb and drive G is 498 GB. Itsbok when i restart the console the partitions show. But as soon a switch it off and on from the console the partion resets and shows up as F 947gb. Ive got a strange feeling that 2.5inch sata drives wont work

Thanks for the replim using xb part v1.3 Its hard moded The bios im using i think is xecuter i think The new.drive is a 2.5 inch 2tb drive. Using a 80 pin connector 2 The partions create. But when i shutdown the console.and restart. It shows 1.8tb again

So ive formated the drive via install disk. Every time i install new partition and shut down and put the xboz back on. The partition reset and go back as one. 1.8 tb. Please help. Ive tried xbox partiioner and and splitting them. Same problem as soon as i switch it off. Everything resets. Im using a 2.5 inch 2tb drive by the way

yes mate, hard disk is upgraded 2day to a 2TB 2.5 inch drive, but all good and happy. thanks for your help
