I use XBMC daily but not because I particularly "like" it better. I personally prefer UnleashedX. I think it is just better to navigate and I like the settings interface much better. But what I don's like is the SLOW loading if you have a hard drive full of games. That alone forces me to use XBMC for the primary dash....but I still zap back to UnleashedX here and there for things

Yes! And, I also forgot to say that using the OGXBox Installer is the better and safer solution for the TSOP flashing Which reminds me of a small bug I found. PMed

I realize this is an old thread but I keep seeing this over and over. You are getting error 13 because your TSOP BIOS is not looking in the proper location for the XBMC or Unleashed dashboards in the Origins image. If you TSOP flash the EvoX BIOS on the Hexen 2018 disc you will have the correct BIOS for this image. I would advise however to use the Hexen 2018 disc to TSOP flash the EvoX BIOS to it and THEN image the 2TB drive and install it. If you so much as launch the Hexen 2018 disc WHILE the already imaged 2TB drive is installed the Hexen disc will overwrite the dashboard settings.

Where did you hear this exactly? I do know the image has some corrupt ROM files that I needed to replace so far. On the TG16 side both Legendary Axe I and David Cup Tennis were corrupt zip files. I only discovered that because one of my old time favorite games is Legendary Axe and the emulator would not launch it. After finding it was corrupt I transferred the whole ROM folder to the PC and tested all zips with 7zip....which revealed David Cup Tennis also was corrupt. It would be good to keep a catalog of issues (post them here) that you find with games (xbox games, emulation roms, etc) so that we can actively fix any small issues in the image. As for being an early image....I believe it. There's a lot of junk on the partitions. 0KB and 44KB N64 Roms that are just corrupt junk files. ".zip9" files that are garbage as well. Otherwise, it is really darned good even if it was obviously a work in progress...and worth the download as I have found nothing else of this size that compares (fully set up). Took me 7 days exactly on my connection here.

Hey, credit deserved where credit is due. I tested each install option in each category to see if I can find any other issues. Nope. This is rock solid. Finally a great one DVD solution that covers everything one could want/need to get their original soft or hardmodded xbox to speed. I know how much work can be involved with these things. I go by the handle "zektor" elsewhere (GBATemp and others) and I wrote a few tools to do things on the Wii (a safe firmware upgrader at the time), released things for the Gizmondo (a custom launcher, games) and a bunch of other stuff here and there over the years. It is really a labor of love and I don't think a lot of people appreciate that. Most just download stuff and use it without the thought of the work involved that someone put in for free so that everyone can benefit. Just wanted to say that I do appreciate it EDIT: Actually I found ZSnexbox fails install. Everything else looks good so far.

I will say that this installer is FANTASTIC! The flashing works find now on the Winbond chip. Just make sure that you have a hard drive set up first I had a brainfart and was setting up a brand new 500GB drive but tried to TSOP flash before setting it up. Duh...it needs to copy the files to a set up drive of course Anyhow, this is the only disc anybody would ever need in my opinion. All copies of Hexen and other stuff I have are getting tossed. This is certainly the most comprehensive installer disc for the xbox I have ever seen. Bravo, really, on a job WELL done!

I tested this today. It absolutely works great and is much more advanced than Hexen ever was. But there was one issue I ran into. It claimed my chip was "protected". I was certain I did the TSOP mod correctly, but it refused to flash the chip. It is a Winbond chip. I actually had to use Hexen 2018 to TSOP flash it to EvoX...which worked there. Then I used this disc to clean up the drive and perform the installation of all of the software. In OGXBOX installer it previously it read the BIOS as Stock 5101 (before I had to use Hexen 2018 to flash the chip). Now it reads it as "unknown" in OGXBOX Installer. Although when I power on the Xbox, it certainly shows the EvoX logo and Hexen 2018 flashed it without any issue. And I was able to stick a 500GB drive in it and use it no problem. So it is hard modded. Just wondering why OGXBOX Installer is not detecting it or allowing it to be flashed? Is it a raincoat issue? After choosing the Winbond BIOS to flash (I chose EvoX) it just backs out back to the BIOS select screen without flashing anything. For now (for me) this is an all around great tools disc to get hard drives configured (and I like the fact that you have a bring everything back to factory option!) but I really wish it could be used to flash TSOP BIOS's as well (again, for me...I am sure it is working for others) Any thoughts on why this is happening are greatly appreciated.

Really great. The last time (before today) I touched my Xbox was in 2004. I softmodded it back then and it is still softmodded of course. I had to patch traces that were corroded because of that battery capacitor that I never knew existed. Now, time to replace this popping hard drive and install TSOP (its a v1.4...all good) and was head spinning at all of the things that have happened in the scene over the 16 years I was away. In 2004 all we had were softmods and modchips Hexen came up a lot...and gets a lot of bad rep for good reason from all I have read. This tool sounds to have solved all of those problems and frankly sounds like the way to go. I will give it a shot. Thank you for offering this!
