I'm not sure if this is relevant, but I found Archive.org's dumps are padded somehow. I downloaded a dump, mounted it, copied it to an ISO, opened that in Xbox Image Browse and made a reasonable sized image to burn. I guessed it was a raw dump of the complete disc with the DVD session. Originally it came in over 5 gb and couldn't be browsed. After my merry-go-round method it made an ISO of 4.3 ish and burned fine. Playing the disc was fine as well. I always found rips to be funny. Even though the PC can't read the game data, you can still copy and burn it like normal. I have a few XBM demo discs too and am eager to examine the multi menus system. Much thanks for your work!

Understandable. The original font exploit was pretty messy. I remember recovering from the boot loop on more than one occasion. These days with the ability to order online, a mod chip is so much easier to obtain. When Lik Sang went down, I cried many tears. Lol.

I guess I should have posted here first. My first softmod job was a 1.0 Bert and Ernie. That Xbox had a non-modded LG DVD in it. At the time, you couldn't upgrade a softmod hard drive. I come from the PS1 mod chip era, and spent a lot of time in the Dreamcast community. The Xbox was the next logical step that blew the doors wide open. Fast forward to last year. I bought six consoles with various hardware problems (Samsung stuck trays, Philips and Thompson drive failures, caps etc..) and jumped back on the net to look up X-S and get my bearings back. I was shocked that it was gone. I found Rocky5's softmod package, watched some Youtube videos, and was literally blown away by how far things have come. Xbox isn't a niche console like the Dreamcast. It's a fantastic piece of hardware that has much promise. Here's hoping I can donate some info along the way. Cheers and thanks for having me.

Nothing bad about this ^^ Reddit is a maze the search through and filled with people who think the Xbox discs spin/read backwards. Xbins still exist and is mirrored. I'd donate without downloads if you were going to take the spot of X-S. Cheers.

I've had issues with regions and the HD AV pack. I still use EvoX as my dash though. Once I disabled 1080 and 720 (via MS Dash) the game I played displayed fine. Enigma's switcher always works like Corona advised - but all my softmodded boxes were able to switch the region under EvoX. I'm probably the last person to use it these days.

Definitely watching this topic. If this is the same as the one Lantus reviewed, I'll order right away.
