Has anyone received their Stellar modchips?
-
I wouldn't say it is a necessity - but if the option presents itself, there's no harm with this upgrade either since it opens up Chihiro games like Outrun 2 and Virtua Cop 3, and also the ability to play Starcraft: Ghost.

Stellar modchip… yes. You’ll need to connect it to your PC first and give it the Xbox kernel…. Then yes… just plug it in
Are you sure about this? this is only for kernel debugging and firmware recovery if the modchip somehow got bricked. There shouldn't be a need to use the USB port in most use cases.
StellarOS is already baked in to the modchip, no further work is required based on what I am reading at https://makemhz.com/blogs/news/announcing-project-stellar-plus-more

AFAIK any hard disk would be fine. I have a 2TB WD Cavier Blue in my Xbox.
And yes, if you already have the pin headers the Project Stellar modchip would just be a drop in replacement for whatever modchip you have. I do not recall if soldering any additional wires are required - you can always check in with Dustin at https://discord.gg/9aammkvj

Ordered mine directly from Dustin's site yesterday
Project Stellar + XboxHD+ v1 Upgrade Kit came to $110 with international shipping

There's still lots of other lower selling consoles like the Saturn, Dreamcast, and 3DO in circulation.
I estimate at least 50% of the surviving OG Xbox consoles still alive today are already in the hands of fans and enthusiasts who would know how to take care of them and take care to recap them every few years.
I believe the console can last another 20-50 years if properly taken care of.

128MB RAM compatible patch for the M8plus BIOS used with the XboxHD+ is now available
I've updated the BIOS in my XeniumICE chip and so far everything is working great without any game compatibility issues.
Still haven't installed the XboxHD+ kit though

Because it's just an old setup I'm useing almos 20 years now for FTP. Easy and save and I got all the programms on my XP PC... FlashFXP, Eeprom Reader, XISO ect...
Modem is "Fritzbox 7430", nothing special, I use it all the time and never had any problems.
It's really strange never faced a problem like this before.
I assign a static IP to my Xbox via the original MS Dashboard
No problems with downloads via XBMC4Gamers or connecting to the console via FTPPerhaps you should consider using a static IP?
Just use ipconfig in your PC to identify what is your router's IP address (I am betting it's 192.168.0.1).
The rest should be relatively straightforward.

It's a restriction of the FATX file system used by the Xbox, which applies to all files stored in the hard disk.
This restriction does not apply to files stored in DVD.
This is unfortunately a known issue

I referred to https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/xbox/category/999-all and see how the games were reviewed by both readers and critics when loading up my 2TB drive.
A 1TB drive should easily fit at least 300 games, as some of them (i.e. Kakuto Chojin, Crazy Taxi 3) are quite small.
-
Sorry... I am hosting it in OneDrive simply because I have 1TB storage there.
Others in the community are more than welcome to mirror it in a faster host like Mega or Google Drive.
-
I have all the artwork and files and whatnot archived in my OneDrive repository at https://1drv.ms/f/s!Ao7Z5kIDEKUmguAP8ELOjH_Pf6PCDw in the "Artwork" folder
It's not compatible with the downloader baked into XBMC4Gamers though... I manually upload the artwork files to my Xbox via FTP
I am more than happy to give up some space in my OneDrive if someone can let me know what needs to be done to make it compatible with XBMC4Gamers- 2
-
It also doesn't hurt to assign a static IP to the Xbox, and ensure the PC and the XBox are on the same subnet.
-
Any news of a XboxHD+ BIOS that is sure to work with a 128MB RAM Xbox?
-
Apa Khabar from Malaysia
The Xbox is an amazing console, and definitely feels like it's one generation ahead of the PS2.

Can someone make XBMC4Gamers artwork files for He-Man?

Maybe this can help?
https://osxdaily.com/2018/08/05/how-convert-bin-cue-to-iso-mac/I relied on Parallels Desktop when I was using OS X (before it became macOS) back in the day... my Mac knowledge is severely outdated already, has been at least three years since my iMac died.

Use ISOBuster to extract the files.

Not yet but I'm looking forward to it. MakeMHz's twitter has important info for anyone who hasn't checked it.
I am following developments in Dustin's Discord server
It's been a looong wait - AFAIK his last update was that he was expecting everything to be shipped by 15 September... but after all these months, I don't mind another small delay -

MakeMHz has a patch for Rocky's iND 5003 XISO bios for the older XBoxHDMI. But hnot for the newer XBoxHD+.
https://github.com/MakeMHz/xbox-hd-plus/tree/master/patches
Is this older BIOS compatible with XboxHD+ ?

Hi, I have a RAM upgrade and TSOP flashed with non-patched iND5004.67.
Trying to troubleshoot the XBOXHD+ after install today, there is a permanent green light and a on/off blue light. Could someone advise what is the meaning of the blue and green led?
Thanks!
Did you manage to figure this out?
My order still hasn't shipped... but I have a 128MB RAM Xbox as well, and have concerns with support for such upgraded boards since MakeMHZ said only M8Plus BIOS are supported.

I just got mine in! The rest of the kits are supposed to be shipped out throughout August but seeing how this is gone there could easily be spillover into September.
That's great news!
Have you installed it?
Mine still hasn't shipped

Social media and YouTube videos for Stellar has been minimal thus far.... Was expecting some YouTube reviews already by now...
My Stellar modchip is still in the mail, not expecting it to arrive in my shores for at least 2 more weeks
